This is the kitchen and dining area; it’s sort of self explanatory.
The kitchen is separate from the dining hall, a wall with an open slot to serve food. There are six tables, each able to sit twelve people at a time.

With a smile and a nod I cook and work quickly and efficiently. My meals were full and usually had rice or some sort of grain as well as meat or beans and sometimes bread.
It had been a while since his experiment; bringing in a live Zed was not an easy or recommended task, but he needed it to test his cures. The best part was that even if the wrong antidote was administered, it seemed to have no effect on the health of the specimen. He sat down at the table, eager to eat something other than branded granola bars from the Greatest Store.
I watch Aaron enter and smile at him. I always tried to be positive. A soft and kind hearted young woman. "Hello Aaron!" I bring over a plate and some cold water "here you go... You must be tired... Always cooped up in that lab..."
Verla followed Charlie inside and yawned slightly "alright, so, we need to work on dinner, but we gotta take our time because the boss is sleeping and I don't think he's gotten much sleep lately."

He took the meal gratefully, a weary smile on his face. “Thank you, Charlie,” he replied, taking a bite of her delicious cooking, “you’re right about the lab work; no rest for the scientists, that’s for certain. We’re getting closer, but we still haven’t found a preventative, much less a cure.”

"Sometimes you need some rest... Sleep helps your subconscious piece together information you didn't think about consiously or even considered... You could also take some time with everyone else from time to time..."
“I suppose,” he agreed, “but without the preventative, there won’t be anyone to talk to when we’re overrun. No matter the cost, the work must prevail.”
"Fine, you can work of supper by yourself then if you aren't going to even acknowledge my existence." She said and started to walk out.
As Tommy walked inside the kitchen, he dodged Verla storming out, clearly mad about something. He shrugged and walked over to Charlie and Nathan. "Hey guys. Anything to eat around here fora quick snack?"

"Sorry Verla... I didn't mean to anger you... I was just about to speak with you... But it is ok... I can work on the meal... It is my job after all..." I look back at you "what good is the cure if you die from exhaustion before finishing it... Keep yourselves healthy..."
Tommy looked at Nathan and Charlie. "Um, guys? May I offer a suggestion?"
I nod softly "of course darling!" Charlie has the Latin American habit of calling everyone love, darling, sweet heart or similar and she is bad with names so it makes it easier to not embarrass herself.
Tommy nodded. "Thank you. As Nathan may know, I have a special bag in my possession. It gifts me with an assortment of weapons and gear that I may need on my travels, especially a series of ten special blades that grant me elemental powers. Among the gear and weapons is a special statue, which grants me access to the legendary elemental warriors of the past to help us in times of need for a short while." He could tell that they were both confused by everything he said. "What I'm saying is that I can summon one or more of them in the hopes that they may have the answer."
I nod softly "that is a good idea but I feel like you should discuss it with the leader or vice leader since the current one is sleeping and should not be bothered..." I smile softly and warmly "I'll be going back to cooking... The rice should be just about done..."
Verla heard what Tommy had suggested, and she raised her brows in disbelief. She walked to her room that was across from Nathan's room.
Tommy nodded. "Alright, thanks for listening to me ma'am." He saluted her before walking out of the kitchen and straight to the quarter hall, hopefully being able to either catch Nathan or Verla. He doubted that either one would believe him, but he was prepared to pull out his bag and lead them into the pocket dimension.
I smile softly "no problem... I'm Charlie btw..." My smile is soft and warm and sweet.
