The largest building in the complex is the gathering, a former chapel converted to a large meeting house and defensive zone. Computers line the back wall, each with a monitor surveilling the outside areas. A few tables covered in maps take up the western area, and the infirmary takes up the east. A few rows of pews remain in their places, though the stage is where the monitors are kept.
As soon as the entire Sanctuary was free, Nathan had them gathered in the great halls of the former chapel, each seated in the pews as he went over the daily report. “And we’re beginning to run out of ammunition,” he droned on, looking bored himself, “at least the 5.57 needed to keep our turrets running and our assault rifles filled. I’m sending out another team to the military bunker nearby to gather some extra pieces of that size. Any volunteers?”
Leonardo looked at his two friends seated beside him. Both Tommy and Henry nodded. Leonardo nodded back and raised his hand. "Me and the boys here will volunteer to go out."
His eyes lit up slightly, but his demeanor remained the same. “Alright then,” he signed them up, “we’ll send you out tomorrow. Any others?”
Verla shook her head as she sat back with her arms and legs crossed. She wasn't very good in combat, or with guns, so she didn't really care for going out to help them get the ammunition for their own use. She had a strap going across her chest that was attached to her hunting bow, along with the bag of more than three to four dozen arrows.
“Ok then,” he sighed, obviously tired, “everyone return to your duties. Dinner’s at seven, as usual.” He made his way offstage, headed to the wall to check out the areas nearest to the Gathering.
Verla stood up and followed him, she leaned against the table and face him "you should really get some sleep, no one needs their leader passing out on them. Because then that pressure goes on me, and I really don't want that weight. You know how I am."
He kept staring outside, but he was paying attention. “I know,” he sighed, “but I just want to make sure everyone’s doing what they have to, keeping them safe from the outside, managing the jobs and people behind them; it all adds up, and if I miss a step, everyone’s going to call me out on it.”
Charlie nods "if all goes well... I made some bread as well it's been a while since we've had it..." Heading back to the kitchen to continue her work "also the girl is right... You need sleep... Your blood is more caffeine than anything else at this point..."
He took a deep breath, exhaling forcefully. “Yeah, ok,” he muttered, more tired than frustrated, “I’m heading to my quarters for a bit; wake me in time for dinner, ok?”
"sure thing... If you need to rest I can bring it to your room when I'm done..." I send a smile to the leader placing my hair in the gray beanie that had belonged to my dead lover. Whenever I am cooking or not fidgeting with my hair I have it on.
Tommy got up and headed towards the armory, which was also connected to his own personal armory.
Leonardo went to his own room, hoping to maybe figure out a plan for getting to the military base.
Henry got up and headed towards the training hall. He had to make sure he was ready for whatever would face him and the others beyond the walls.

“Thanks,” he replied, turning to them both and giving a small nod of appreciation before heading off to his room.
I make my way to the kitchen and continue to work quickly as I sing under my breath and smile.
Verla smiles slightly when she sees Nathan walk off and she follows Charlie to the kitchen.
