No one likes rules, but here they are:

-Please, no canon characters/organizations, or mundane furres.
-This includes things like playing overt videogame/movie/television characters (such as Batman, or Dean Winchester), having your character be a part of a fictional organization (such as making your vampire a Ventrue from the Camarilla), or playing anthropomorphic, non-supernatural animals (such as a dog furre).

-Feel free to use canon characters/organizations as inspiration, however- just be sure to change the names and some of the details around to make it more of your original work. This prevents people from ICly and OOCly running into confusion and roadblocks.

-No overt supernaturals/supernatural powers in public.

-The world of supernaturals is meant to be separate from that of mundane humans. If too many 'world-breaking violations' occur (that is, supernatural elements on display in public which can include things like an abnormal appearance, powers, or being completely out of touch with human society), your character will be subjected to in-game consequences. These consequences can include explanations of why supernaturals must remain secret, intervention by the other supernaturals living in town*, or even, as a last resort, supernatural hunters. Please use your discretion with this, and feel free to NPC these scenarios- they can be great character builders!

*For example, if your character naturally looks a little too much like Nosferatu and has humans screaming on-sight, the town's overseeing Coven would be more than happy to supply them with glamour-magic to look like a general member of the populace.

Why must supernaturals remain hidden?

-OOCly, we want people to be able to play mundane humans as well as supernatural creatures here. ICly, similar to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Supernatural/Vampire the Masquerade continuities, if humans knew of the existence of creatures that went bump in the night, they would attempt to rise up and destroy them. It's much easier to maintain a balanced existence from the shadows.

-Characters/players must be 18+ years of age; this includes how old the former looks, as well. If your characters have children, still feel free to npc them- Newstead is analogous to real life, after all!

-As per usual, the routine disclaimer: no godmodding/powerplaying/OOC drama. This is a game that's meant to be fun, and there's a real person behind every character!
