The Moon Kitsune still maintains their glimmering hair, nails and private bits that sparkle and shimmer with seemingly moonstone color against their natural silver skin color. All Moon Kitsunes have this silver type of color to skin and glitter color In Anthro form it is only their HAIR that shimmers. When in fox, click on Fox form to see.

Either Moonstone Opals or Firestone Opals are inserted into the foreheads on the kitsunes. In human form they retain their opal on their forehead as well when in shape shifted fox form.

Upon birth, the infants slowly grow a “natural” tattoo across their body. Royal lines usually have facial tattoos, while the nonroyal lines have anywhere on their body. But it GLOWS in a certain period of time of the day, as does their fur patches. It glows two different colors. For Sun Kistunes, during the day it lights up brighter then most lights would. During the night, it is dark. It is a bright almost blinding white/yellow light. For Moon Kitsunes, during the night it lights up but is not nearly as piercing or as blinding as the sun kitsunes, and it is often a silverish blue muted light. During the day, it cannot light up, during the night it does.

    Fox Shapeshifted Form

Tattoos carry over. Their opals meld into a “same shape" on their foreheads. If shattered there is just something obviously indented but no opal fills its form unless there you choose the optional route or have created your kitsune at the age of 49 or younger.

The opal of shape dependent on Moon or Sun choice, glows as well as their entire fur on their bodies glows. Their muzzles and mane around the neck usually retain their glimmering hair.

Moon Kitsunes are lesser extinct than their counterpart due to the fact that their full tail status is never truly seen unless under a full moon phase of the moon. Only then does their true tail status show. Moon Kitsunes do not control this, it is simply by being born of the moon. It makes it difficult thusly to tell at what power the Kitsune is at. Likely a trick played by Inari intentionally, to keep Yako at bay.

Sun Kitsunes is the exact opposite of this, as thus when a New Moon Phase is up, their tail status is fully hidden but otherwise, known.

Moon Kitsunes are “cool” colors often upon birth. Sun Kitsunes are “warm” colors often upon birth.
Differences in these color schemes will need valid IC reasoning.

Fox like ears. Can be of any origin of foxes for the ears.

    Fox like tails.

    Dentals are like V9AY8Sk.png

Eye sight is average minus the time of day. Moon kitsunes are blind during the day. Sun Kitsunes are blind during the night.

Face is elongated and gelfling like shaped with a canine nose and different kind of teeth. They get patches of fur of your choosing and a muzzle shaped face with claws.

Skin can be a variety of tones as well. But it must be skin from ear base to tail base.

Average human height to kitsune height can be administered. 4 ft to 8 ft tall. (Females can only go 7'7") This excludes ears in the height of the character.

The tattoo can be anything you want that they get upon birth. Glowing tattoos can be administered other areas of course, as it is custom in their tribal species to have plenty of those upon growing up and gaining their tails. But if not royal, I better not see any facial tattoos without a good IC explanation.

Piercings are common and not at all frowned upon in their society. In fact, it was weird if you weren't at all pierced.

Their nose works much like canines, but it is not as strong. Thusly, they can't smell pheromones and identify them. But they can identify "scent" trackers like a dog and sent them out. Water will disable this feature of course, unlike dogs. And they can't smell past perfumes and such.

Their hearing isn't nearly as sensitive as a fox, it extends to underground about...50 ft radius. Though it is lesser than most hybrids, it also allows the sharp whistling to not affect them nearly as badly.

Their blood bleeds two different colors depending on the two diff species you choose between. Moon Kitsunes bleed shimmering silver. While Sun Kitsunes bleed glowing orange. Sun kitsunes blood burns a little when tasted and typically warms a tad warmer than normal. Moon Kitsune blood is COLD and icy when tasted and typically runs a tad colder than normal.

Sexual organs are akin to fox-like sexual organs. (that includes bone and locking into place), but is obviously male to male. Female to male. There have been no successful hermaphrodites born.

They can make fox-like noises! But do not "mate" like most animal breeds. They do not have heat cycles, as they are two times the human then kitsune.

Tattoos from them are crafted uniquely, and cannot be found elsewhere. Thusly they do glow at certain periods of the time. Moon Kitsunes are allowed to get sun tattoos and Sun Kitsunes are allowed to get Moon tattoos. However, it is absolutely considered illegal to tattoo your face unless of royal lineage and is usually punished severely. (AKA death)

The moon kitsunes use moon dust for their tattoo. The sun kitsunes use sun ash for their tattoo. (Given to them by Heaven Kitsunes).

Moon and Sun Kitsunes have "true" tail forms that only revealed when their full tail status is revealed. It is made of moonlight and sunlight beams. They can burn someone of course, through most material and clothes for a slight bit of damage.

Sun Kitsunes thusly show this far more often than the Moon Kitsunes.

The sun kitsunes have sun rays formation.

The moon kitsunes have moon beams formation.

Both are often in the form of a tail but it is ethereal. Thusly a natural magical weapon that can burn.
  • Death of a Kitsune

When a Moon or Sun Kitsune passes away either of Age or of war, Inari is said to judge them.

They are judged by their entire long life and the choices they made. The crystals thusly, from their grave, that are picked and put into the "sanctuary" behind the large Altar, are actually harnesses of the souls that are spent at least 25 years of going through their entire lives with Inari. Inari thusly chooses whether to take the dark crystal that would darken if judged to be a nogitsune, and Shamans would be in charge of smashing it to banish it from Mofa.

Or in charge of smashing it if it was clear and heavenly, to release the newly formed Heaven Kitsune to find it's new host with it's old moon and sun life of it's hybrid self, remembered, but no longer able to have the same form and weaknesses. It is a simple heaven kitsune after death or a nogitsune.
