Logs
(18:33:10) Riker Ford The wolf angled his head up sharply and even in a wolf form Oh shit, could be read pretty accurately as he began to bound along side of Ren to try and keep out of harms way, but then there was a hunter coming and Riker forgot all about the fire, all about the lightning as he began to shoot a silver bolt at him.
(18:34:02) Jaiyden sensed the early alert system trigger and hissed a curse. Well they were prepared for this at least, but there were still people out on the Ranch. He had sent most everyone home for a few days, shored up defenses around the cabins and let anyone else who wanted to stay in the house. It was the safest place. Currently he was doing a quick perimeter of the place, wings flicking occassionally in the wind as he gave Juddson a view of what was about to come. With his scouting done he landed right outside the barn, just in time to catch Deimos's voice. "Damnit." he hissed. "What the hell are you doing here...get inside the house!" the animals would be fine ... maybe...hopefully.
(18:35:12) Hayatobi wasn't a super saiyan or nothing.... but that's a boat load of power being dispensed within a rather small radius. Consider the ghost's curiosity piqued. Maybe it was the flicker, the weakening of enchantments. Whatever the case, Tobi arrived, keeping to the edges of the barn. If no one had noticed them come in, a... but perhaps they had. Mask was already in place, and while not currently made of ectoplasm. Could, under the right circumstances. Be picked out from a bunch. Perhaps the threat of blood and gore kept everyone too occupied.
(18:38:26) Devin Starr couldn't see Nolen, but he could feel him and his power. Their bond was still rudimentary, but it was enough and he could feel the energy flowing through him. It was enough that when that first lighting struck right at his shoulder he didn't even flinch. His regenerative powers were amped up and all it did was make him angry. Those eyes of his glowed gold before he was hunching down on all fours and letting out a howl, a battlecry and call to war so to speak. He wasn't going to just stand here and let them lob magic at them, he was going to take the fight to them. As soon as he neared the first witch he launched snapping jaw around throat and tearing the poor bitches head off. One down.
(18:40:39) Juddson was out the door the second he felt his wards go off. There was a fire to his eyes that those who knew him wouldn't recognize. The usual easy-going man, the one who liked to laugh and scowl playfully was different when his family was in danger. Elsewise on the farm his son was out there, doing lord knew what, but he couldn't exactly stress about that. He was already muttering under his breath, eyes going a little white. Power surged out of him and thrust outward in a wave. It wasn't meant to hurt. It was a perimeter. He couldn't hold it for long, but it might be long enough for them to knock a few down before the next group came.
(18:41:05) Suthern found himself accompanied and as the bolt was fired at his wolfy companion stopped and focused in on the weapon instead of the bolt hoping Riker was smart enough to dodge. Better to take out the battalion than the single soldier right? He didn't notice the ghost. He didn't note anyone else at that moment, instead he was focused on the weapons the hunter had and pulled his hands into fists bringing the man up into the air just in time to catch a fireball thrown into their direction, but he quickly came down as electricity hit him, "FFFFF!" And he was down holding his shoulder, the smell of singed flesh enough to remind him to keep looking up. The hunter was down, groaning in pain.
(18:42:41) Riker Ford The bolt skimmed Riker's ear taking a chunk out of it, but it didn't keep him from moving he was going for that man and as soon as he descended and hit the ground Riker was on him snapping his jaws around his face and shaking, crunching as the man tried to hit him, punch him until his body fell limp.
(18:43:18) Nolen normally didn't like letting others tap into him, but considering Ren was here to help he just nodded along at his smile and letting out a breath. A moment later, he was on all fours. It was stronger this way, and he had an easier time dodging- and Nolen was already needing to dodge. Someone was after kitty with bolts of lightning, but Nolen had no magic to speak of himself. Looked like he was playing a game of cat and mouse, and he did not like being the mouse.
(18:44:27) Lil'Shet Deimos searched for the litter and their momma and found them exactly where he saw them the day before! Although momma-cat looked like she was ready to take them somewhere else, one kitten in her mouth. Then Dei heard Jay's voice from outside of the barn. "In a minute!" He called back as he started to gather the kittens and put them into his otherwise empty backpack. He had no idea about the battle going on outside as he climbed down the loft, momma-cat not far behind. He scooped her up once on the ground and took off with towards the house.
(18:49:00) Suthern found himself looking to Nolen and exhaled sharply, as he got back up and started walking towards the hunter that Riker was shaking to death. He pulled the cross bow and a few other things off of the hunter so he could have them himself. He didn't need Nolen's power to help him, he had plenty of his own, because he was meant, nay designed to be a familiar himself. But he had powers all his own, so he grabbed one of the bolts and knocked it in place, "Get the wolves, I'll go after the hunters."
(18:49:14) Hayatobi didn't know why people were coming under threat, who the threat even was, or how many. A step, then another. Lightning would zap at hidden visage, even perfectly vertical strikes held the potential to arch suddenly, just to menace that amiguous expression. Regardless of the dangers, of which were varied, many... and real. Tobi channeled their own energy, letting them take shape. Around them, people were getting wounded, and cover, if you could call it that. Wouldn't last forever. Feathers, whiter than cotton, dropped toward the ground. The mask was teary, liquid glistening like dew. Nine spears, intended for nine individuals. Whether the attack hit all as intended or missed quite a few, Hayatobi sacrificed their anonymous discourse. They'd soon be surrounded, and their aggressors probably weren't looking for prisoners.
(18:52:28) Riker Ford licked the blood off his jowls as he heard Ren and bound off as he saw a wolf, but no sooner had he arrived to engage with one that a spear pierced through him, locking his head to the earth and had Riker back pedaling to cease his course. Where the fuck had that come from?! As he came to a halt he looked around real quick to see who had just spear head this fucker before he was jumped by another wolf and the two began to tumble, locking jaws and flipping, each attempting to bite at the neck and subdue the other.
(18:53:40) Devin Starr tore through another, a warlock this time. Blood ran down sharpened teeth, stained fur and claws alike. He wasn't quite berserker, but he was enraged, there was no doubt about it. The only thing that stopped his attack was the multitude of magically attacks coming from behind him. Judd's barrier pushed a large number of them back, while Hayatobi's spears did in the nine they aimed for. Ren and Rikers' combos were taking down more, but this was only just the beginning. The sound of a rallying howl could be heard, followed by the increasingly loud echo of paws on the ground. The next magic attack would be followed by wolves. Bipedal and quadrapedal, they had teeth and claws bared, heading straight for Riker and Ren with intent to maul and maim!
(18:54:43) Juddson was happy to see Deimos getting to safety. This was no place for the boy. The house should hold, until someone got to it, at which point Judd would focus all of his energy on keeping it safe. For now, the ranch was utter chaos. He hated it. He hated the thought of losing family more. "Ren, on your left," he shouted, his hand shooting out and energy rippling around Ren as something came shooting towards him. It didn't matter if Ren wouldn't have been hurt. Judd wasn't taking chances today. With that out of the way, Judd was sliding behind one of the nearby trees just in time to avoid a pocket of shadow. He knew the spell well, and he wasn't in the mood to suffocate today. He just hoped no one else was in its path. His initial wave was weakening, and the howls meant that they knew it out there. The second charge was coming.
(18:57:33) Jaiyden followed Deimos to the main house, ensuring he arrived safely inside before he turned his attention outward. Unlike Nolen, he wasn't going to open his tap for anyone. If Casey had been here that probably would've been a different story, but he was off, presumably with Ericc fighting off an attack from the flank. They had protections and persons set up at all key points on the Ranch, these assholes weren't catching them off guard. "Watch out!" he called as a wolf leaped straight for Juddson, but being the noble and valiant man that Jay was, he rushed straight into the wolf from the side. Knocking it over he started grappling with it, those teeth dangerously close to tearing off his arm.
(19:00:34) Nolen wasn't about to be useless. He had scuttled off for a tree, taking a vantage point. Waiting was something he was very good at. And so he waited, watching as Judd came under his tree, tail whipping behind him. It wasn't until Jay intercepted an attack that Nolen had something to do. The feline launched himself from the tree, landing atop the wolf and sinking lengthy claws into eyes. You don't.. need those right? At any rate it should give Jay some leverage to free his arm, right? Probably? Or they'd both die. You know, whichever was good.
(19:09:24) Suthern took to the right as he was told to watch out on his left. He was bounding and moving quickly, his glamour going down to relive him of certain magics and focus to reveal his more feral feline features and his burn scars all over his body. As he did he encountered several beings and he pulled out a knife and then tossed it at them downing two hunters who thought that knife was going to just go right on by them but, it wasn't it altered it's course to stab one in the back of the neck sending him straight down and then the knife pulled as if magically wielded by something mysterious to assault the man coming at him right to the jugular. From here he'd pull the blade out himself and began to hone in on a very specifc magic.
(19:12:06) Riker Ford was being bitten, rolling around on the ground with the wolf and he wasn't focused on anything else. He didn't know more were coming but he was getting very pissed off by this point. He'd been bitten twice and he was sure he rolled over something sharp. Lightning hit them both, which phased the other enough that Riker was able to close in on his throat and sunk his teeth in as hard as he could.
(19:15:43) Hayatobi tilted their head downward, chin touching collarbone, a bit of skin that was hidden away by stylish --in Tobi's mind-- bowtie. Nine individuals closed in. One was a magic user; the remaining eight were all lycanthropes, deadly and each practiced in the art of killing. N-no pressure, then. "Gentlemen..." There were probably ladies here, too. It was difficult to tell beneath all the fur. No sooner had Tobi spoke, than did aether tethers shoot out from the ground, effectively suffocating all four of their limbs in pulsating blue light. Just as quickly as the spectre was ensnared so too did the hounds jump, all aimed for the vitals. That bow wouldn't do much in a pinch, sorry to say. Chest was swiped, rivulets of blood cascading sharply to one side, following the sweeping cleave of the arm responsible. Another bore it's entire weight onto Tobi, causing their arm to twist in an unnatural position, followed by a sickening crunch. Then the next heartbeat, a time measured by the reflexes of one's limbs, not actual time. Glimmering shrapnel flaked off of the jutting spikes that shot out from the ground, disrupting not a single blade of grass. Those not rent in twine staggered back with cuts, skin hanging off of a shoulder, a red drupelet welling from a deeper wound beneath. Then the wave of chaos hit, allowing Tobi the time to encase themself in the same brightly tinged natural element. What had been scrawny small person was now equally small marshmellow plushie. Where their chest had been laid open, pale golden ichor ran freely between velveteen fluff. Arm, still very much broken. Snapped and cracked, held in place by the outside forces conjured. And this was just the explorative number. phew. (f)
(19:15:45) Suthern about three wolves and two men stopped in their tracks immediatly pawing or grabbing at their heads as Ren chanted quietly to himself, but his eyes both changed to a vivid yellow. And anyone who could see auras, while they likely saw how his flexed to black rather quickly upon the spell ensuing. One by one the wolves and the men began to drop, bleeding from their ears, their nose, eyes, and mouth.
(19:21:38) [#] The house is under attack. Suddenly magic seems to come at it from all sides, bouncing off of the protective energy around it. Holes begin to form. All at once, the assault stops- but who knows if there's something going on inside of it now.
(19:27:07) Jaiyden managed to get a hand around lower jaw and upper. As soon as Nolen landed and tore the wolf's eyes out, he pulled both jaws apart until he heard the sick crunch of bones breaking. It was enough to have the wolf's body go limp and stop fighting, the familiar kicking up and out to push it off him and to the side. "Thanks." he muttered to Nolen, eyes shifting to try to find the source of all the magic firing off around him. Specifically he was trying to find Tobi, becuse he could sense the aether but he couldn't see where it was coming from. Scrambling to his feet he looked to the state of the ranch, it was a mess and it didn't look like it was getting any better. He was struggling now, trying to figure out how to protect the house when he was still getting assaulted by those wolves. "Judd, time to get serious." he'd inform his husband, unlocking a good portion of his amplification for the which to tap into. Whoever was targeted was about to have a very bad day.
(19:27:11) Riker Ford got up just in time to see the coming assault to him and Ren going down, one by one. A silver bolt went into his right shoulder and he howled, and tried to bite at it to yank it out only to get his mouth burned from the silver as well. FUCK!
(19:31:07) Suthern was getting tired of these assholes and as Riker loosed a howl, he saw the hunter and the bolt that was lodged in Riker's shoulder immediately pulled out and plummeted center between the hunter's eyes.
(19:31:46) Juddson took a breath as he watched the assault come on the house. He had wanted to help Jay, but the house had to stay safe. He was muttering, trying to hold up the protective spells, watching them fizzle until the assault ended and he was able to strenthen them again. He heard Jay, knew what he meant. How many fucking people did the pack bring? "Devin!" he found himself shouting. "Time to go for the big guns! Everyone provide him as much cover as you can!" He was pretty sure there was only one way this was ending. He moved away from the tree, reaching into the depths of the darker magics he knew, sweating slightly. Three wolves approaching glowed like embers and then exploded all over the yard, a fireball burning out where they had been. Well, so much for the nice front yard. "Nolen! Get Riker!" The wolf couldn't have that silver heal inside of him. Seemed Ren was on top of that, though, and so the witch went back to killing every fool in his path. No one fucks with his home.
(19:36:57) Riker Ford was getting up, limping and shifting as his body began to heal, however slowly it was, but with Nolen around it was still better than the rate it normally would have healed. He limped to be closer to Ren and kept flicking his burned tongue out. He was gonna have a scar across his tongue... unique at least.
(19:37:57) Suthern couldn't heal but he could protect at least and as Riker stuck by him he just started loosing bolts towards hunters and wolves, not necessarily kill shots, but it would slow them down enough for Devin to get by some of them.
(19:41:31) Hayatobi's arm was shaking. Already?? Tobi shook it off. Tried to. The house seemed seen to. The question was, did everybody on the front lines have what they needed? Juddson's cry for extra defenses didn't go unheard by the spirit. Thankfully their legs were fully intact, and in no time went sprinting to catch up to everyone else. Once within range, assuming nobody stopped them. Tobi briefly lit up the night sky, but not in a similar show of sparks. From on high runic javelins fell, pulled in by gravity and Tobi's own will. They fell, and as one sent out flicker that, while causing no direct harm to anyone. Repelled fourteen individuals from attacking, leaving most with the opportunity to breathe. Perhaps with some concentration the affect would strengthen, but for right now. That was the most they could do.
(19:49:38) Devin Starr knew that the only way this was going to end was if he took out the leader behind all of this. His Uncle, the man who knew how to hold a grudge for literal centuries. All Devin had done was killed his own Father (his Uncles Brother), killed his Uncles wife, his kids and everyone else. Who would really still be mad about that after all this time?! Okay...maybe he sort of understood, but his Uncle had drawn entirely innocent people into it and so now Devin had one more person to see to personally killing. He heard his Name and looked back to offer a nod. It was time to find the fucker and end this. Those eyes glowed gold in the fading light of the sunset, the wolf starting to run forward and past all who attempted to stop him. First were the ones that exploded, than the group that got speared with the javelins. He continued his pace until he pushed through the first rank of wolves and into the backline. A snarl and a low growl was released, a call to the pack Alpha. >>
(19:49:48) Devin Starr Meanwhile, the assault would be haulted for the moment, giving the group time to recoup and recover, see to any wounds and regain whatever resources they could. The reprieve would not be for long, but it seemed the pack and the hunters were far more wary of the small group of defenders. It was six against who knew how many, honestly; anyone should be scared of the power the defense was wielding. <<
(19:54:37) Nolen had felt Tobi for a while now, but it wasn't until now that he saw them. He let out a long breath, because he wasn't about to go into need to know all about this phenomenon right now, even this book worm had his limits. Instead, he was after Devin. He'd be there for the man, he'd keep at his back and watch over him, because at the end of the day if Devin died.. well. The bond was real shit, he didn't think he'd make it through if it broke, even if it hadn't fully solidified yet. Besides, Devin might need the power surge. It was all coming to a head. Someone was walking away victorious, and Nolen wasn't a praying man. He just believed in the defense of the ranch.
(19:56:26) Juddson drew a long, much needed breath. The reprieve was everything they needed, honestly, and he was going to have to figure out who the stranger helping them out was and thank them later. For now, he was turning for the house, watching as the wards flickered. Fuck. He could only do so much repairing; and he was exhausted, thoroughly, even with Nolen and Jay here to help support his magic. He just hoped that elsewhere on the ranch, Keyton, Ollie, Shane, Ericc and Casey were keeping themselves and the back of the house safe.
(19:59:37) Riker Ford was in awe all of a sudden. He wasn't sure he'd ever seen a battle like this. Exploding wolves, the creature above that almost seemed angelic and was assisting them. There were some definite bad asses he hadn't known about and was a little humbled at this point as he took a moment to sit and breath as he watched people almost in a daze, but as soon as the momentary breather was over he was moving after Devin and Nolen to help, limping, but moving none the less.
(20:04:08) Suthern was going to pulling the blood of those he could see with in his few again, mostly the ones he'd shot down. This particular task was weighing down on him though and these were likely the last of his victims so he made it slow, as he twirled a knife in one hand. With each wolf and hunter he came by slit their throat, whistling Auld Lang Syne.
(20:09:20) Faune: Ren shouldn't have been late. He was never this late-- and if he was held up for any reason, he'd text back. Usually he'd text ahead of time. And after calling a few times, she couldn't just sit there in that empty apartment. She tugged on her boots and her jacket and headed for the door. If Ren was gonna be angry with her, he was gonna be angry to her face. She'd barely shut the door behind her when the world dropped out around her. She was in the ocean-place, weightless and warm, silt clouding up around her ankles. In the dim light of the cabin where her body waited, she was motionless, standing there, dark gaze cast downward, chest rising slow and steady.
(20:11:49) Hayatobi. It was nice for the solstice to be near. The closer both worlds aligned, the easier it was to remain in a physical state for longer. Steam hissed out from behind the mask, both arms trembling now. Tobi was by no means meant to be a damage sponge. They'd guaged the situation at a glance, and acted rashly. Rashly for them. Still, stance was upheld, those giant tails moving fluidly of their own accord. Rather than funneling the required power into a task that may take minutes or even hours, Tobi made it a timed paradox. Those not gutted by the javelins would be held back, yes. The flavor of the fight was changing, morping. Was there still rampant waves of endless enemies within sight, had they backed off, regrouped? Like this, it was white specks on a black chalkboard. Tobi sent out another convulsion of their very being, this time freeing up another forty-three torso's worth of space. More steam. Numbers on one side mattered substantially more than the other.
(20:14:16) Jaiyden was giving quite a bit of firepower to Juddson, those wolves exploding was satisfaction. He wasn't usually for bloodshed and killing. He was a peaceful man for the most part, but when someone wanted to threaten his family and friends, his home? Well that was an entirely different story. The short reprieve from attack was needed, the man sucking in a deep breath as he tried to keep himself on his feet. He might not have been doing much physically, but he was lending power in large amounts and that was strenous. He was distracted, so he didn't sense the magic that was coming for him. A warlock had managed to hide from the attackers and had sent a magical strike right at Jay, having sensed him being the source of Juddson's power. He didn't even have time to react, all he could do was gape his mouth and stumble forward, blood already pooling as he fell to a knee. Hopefully someone would find the fuck and slaughter him, because Jay was currently sort of bleeding out?
(20:18:12) Suthern glanced up now to see Hayatobi. He would stop though as Riker was bound to go after Devin and well if Riker wanted to go forth and be fucked in the ass then so be it. He would start heading back in towards the house, just in time to see the the warlock and flung the knife towards the warlock and propping up the crossbow, aiming and sending two of his final bolts out towards him. The knife didn't make it, the first bolt didn't either, but the third? Landed right in his god damned chest.
(20:23:23) Riker Ford found himself blocking out the pain for now, the bites, the shoulder injury. He was going to be suffering for it later but he wasn't going to let Devin go in this alone, or so he thought. A couple of wolves would try to go after him as soon as he gained on Devin's tail, seeming to want to keep him enclosed, but they had Riker leaping up in the air and twisting to come back down to land atop of one wolf and bite into the back of his neck and shaking only for the other wolf to bite his back leg and begin to attempt to drag Riker off the other wolf, but Riker wasn't letting go of the one within his jowls.
(20:26:09) Hayatobi. The element of surprise was gone. The enemy was aware of Tobi, and as you might expect. Not at all happy with their participation. Three charged right for them, but the blast kept them at bay. Knowing it would, the ghost continued lobbing the majority of their focus on protecting the others. Eventually someone, Tobi didn't know who. Was smarter than the sum of his or her brethren, for the assailant notched silver arrow to crossbow and took aim for the mask. Even if they didn't know what Hayatobi was, chances were, there was a decent enough inspection to assume the hot mist venting from around their head had to mean SOMETHING. And they didn't have to bother getting in close, to boot.
(20:28:39) Juddson didn't know how it came to be that something in this crazy battle was happening in slow motion... but that's exactly how it went down with Jay. Judd could feel the seconds tick by, as though maybe he had time to get to him.. but he didn't. The world around him shook. Everything was raw emotional instinct now, head snapping in the direction of the warlock. He needed to attend to Jay- someone did- but he couldn't do it with the man up still. Judd felt himself flicker. Power boiled inside of him, head tilting back as his eyes went white and his limbs went stiff. He oepend his mouth- and something poured out, white hot and steaming. Energy from his very soul. It shot light lightning through the treeline, wrapping tight around the man who'd taken Jay down, burning into his skin and tearing away at the arteries beneath until it coiled around itself. His body dropped, along with the severed head, and Judd swayed- but he swayed towards Jay, dropping to his knees next to his husband.
(20:33:03) Devin Starr. It was about time this showdown came to an end. Devin's call had brought out Josh, the god forsaken Alpha and orchestrator of this whole thing. He was taller then Devin by a foot or more, his wolf a hulking, midnight black pelted creature of muscle and sinew. There was a snapping of jaws and a howl, fighting all around the Ranch suddenly coming to a still. The pack retreated, the hunters and witches (whatever was left of them) also backed away. It seemed this was going to be a fight among Alpha's now, not that Devin ever wanted to consider himself one. The pack started to form a wide circle around the two, as they started to pace around eachother. This was going to end, one way or another. Devin was either going to die, or he was going to absolutely slaughter Josh. The outcome was anyone's guess as the brown wolf leapt forward, jaws snapping as he aimed a bite to the shoulder.
(20:33:09) Devin Starr He was entirely unaware of anything else going on around him...but at least the fighting was over for now. <<
(20:33:34) Riker Ford kicked at the wolf at his leg, shook and growled at the one he had between his jaws and he could feel his hind leg, the bone crushing and he crushed harder upon the one who was in his mouth until he shook no more and immediately spun to bite the one holding onto his leg, shifting as he did into a human and grabbing the wolf's head to break his neck. "FUCK," he said before he spat out fur and blood, his leg was broken his shoulder was damaged and he just fucking laid down ther on the ground to stare up at the sky, "Fuck... fuck... fuck..."
(20:39:39) Suthern watched as the warlock met an eerie doom and felt his own world begin to haze over. Somehow he was still standing, but he knew it wouldn't be for long. He saw his bosses and wondered where Casey was in all of this. He had no healing abilities after all that wasn't his forte... but if Jay died well.. he could raise him from the dead... so there was that... He turned slowly as he felt his left leg give out from under him and rubbed his left shoulder than had been burned from a fire ball. A new burn would to accompany the rest of his scars... He knelt down on the ground and put down the weapons he'd collected, upon his lap.
(20:46:38) Jaiyden felt the surge of magic from his husband and almost felt bad for the man that had been targeted. Whoever was with him was likely decimated as well, if not from Juddson than from Ren's knives he had thrown. The familiar found himself blinking, trying to stay conscious as he leaned heavily against Juddson. "I think...the bullet hurt worse?" he attempted to laugh but that was a really bad idea. The blood only started to pour a little more and he was honestly barely holding on. He wasn't going to die though! Right? He hoped. Where was Casey? The fighting had ended, he figured the man would be making his way back to the main house. Since he wasn't, it meant something bad had happened and Jay didn't have the power to think about that and to stop himself from dying. "You got fire right...stop the bleeding." this spoken intently to Juddson...he'd survive if they could just stop the bleeding.
(20:47:42) Hayatobi. The bolt was coming. Tobi didn't move. Moving, even so much as flinching, meant diverting form, losing the power of their stance. The aura incasing everyone in a bubble of protection would fade. But if their mask got hit.... the sound of already broken bones crunching as they were mashed into one another. The arrow quivered, held within an oversized paw. They'd forced their arm to move, beyond reason, beyond thought. Thankfully, the fighting portion, the widespread variant. Was done with. Would it be fair to give Devin an extra boost? Or was this a, 'victory without honor is pointless' type of brutality to the death.... Hayatobi had no idea, and wasn't going to bother either --they looked awful concentrated-- Tobi sent the aid, whether it was wanted or not. Others were suffering, and to ignore their plight.... reluctantly, Tobi stepped away. Riker was first, paw held out for the man amidst bloody, torn land.
(20:51:45) Riker Ford was shaking by the time this creature came up to him and offered a paw, his teeth chattering from the silver that had invaded his body, the bones broken in his leg but he would reach up with his left hand. He pulled himself up, naked, but covered in blood, dirt, grime of sort and leaned in heavily upon the creature helping him, "Thanks..." And would limp along to get the hell out of dodge, wincing and losing more color in his face everytime he stepped on his left leg.
(20:53:44) Faune: The air was different when she came back. It was cooler in the cabin. And darker. And something smelled... rotten. And somewhere, something was on fire. And then there were voices. She stumbled when she took her first step, legs numb from standing still for so long. But then she was off to the door. It was nearly dark, but she could see... the blood, the bodies. It was hard to identify who was who. But there was definitely a fucking fire. And... wounded. West darted to the kitchen, flung the cabinets open until she found the fucking fire extinguisher. She moved fast to aim the hose up at the tree above the cabin that had caught fire. And then she stumbled, fell into what had to be blood, and darted on over to the house where a substantial part of the siding was being licked by flames. "Fuck! Call-- call someone!"
(20:59:26) Suthern could feel the blood rushing in his ears, numbing out the noises and he closed his eyes as his lynx ears fell back against his skull as he dropped his head back. He heard a voice, familiar and it started to bring him back. He openned his eyes and rolled his head over to see West with a fire extinguisher before he leaned forward and began coughing up black tar like substance, forcing him upon his hands and knees and groaned as he got up to his feet, "You shouldn't be here," he said, hoarse and barely above a whisper as he made his way to West. his glamour completely gone, but hell she'd seen his scars before... she'd seen how he really looked without all the glamour before... right? Not quite as handsome as he did with it. "West.." he sounded like he was going to be sick. "West... help Jay.. and Juddson... forget the fucking house." He said as he came closer to her.
(21:00:44) Devin Starr. While the defense was recovering, the attackers were intent on the fight. The fight that was an even back and forth so far. There was claws and teeth marks dug into flesh of both Josh and Devin. Devin; however, had something Josh didn't and he had made a promise. He wasn't going to go at this alone anymore. He had swore to Marshall that he would rely on the man and that is exactly what he was going to do. Those eyes glowed somehow brighter as he focused on the bond between them. He'd draw on that power as much as he could, as much as Nolen allowed; feeling his muscles surge. This was going to end, Now. With one final lunge he turned his head and tore straight into his Uncle's throat. The blood pooled and his body went limp. The fight was done and with it, the pack and paid muscle had no reason to stick around. Whoever managed to escape would be left to live, but they'd be stupid to try to come back. >>
(21:00:50) Devin Starr As for Devin? He fell over, shifting as he did and falling to the ground. He wasn't going to die, but he wasn't exactly firing on all cylinders either. Whatever the case, it seemed he was the victor for the day and his past was now solidly where it belonged. Dead...on the ground next to him. <<
(21:01:43) Juddson let out a breath- Jay was alive enough to make jokes. And demands. "I've got-" his voice faltered, though. They had so much work to do cleaning this place up, but fuck if Judd had even an ounce of energy left after all of this. He needed just a little more, though. He called to that last bit of magic that he had in his body, dragging at it, refusing to lose this battle. This was the most important one. He pressed a white hot palm over the bleeding, burning skin present beneath it, making his stomach curl. He'd been smelling that since the battle began, but it was different when it was your husbamd. And then he was sagging over him, breathing just a tad ragged by his husbands heart beat strong beneath his ear. Thank god.
(21:06:34) Hayatobi's touch was an offering. One Riker could take or refute. There'd never be anything in the way of hard feelings. Should it be accepted, he'd feel bone and varied dermis layers replenish, knit back together. It wouldn't be perfect, there'd still be pain, and many hours spent immobilized --unless he healed fine while active, too-- in order to return to tip top shape. If not, Tobi would carry him over to the rapidly growing gathering, pausing as Judd poured what remained of himself into saving his beloved's life. Right arm hung useless at Tobi's side, the wrappings there stained even more than usual with crimson, while their chest continued to weep liquid gold. Gingerly the ghost went to one knee, holding out their hand much as they had with Riker. This, too, was an offering. Not for one but both men, giving what could be. A pick-me-up, a chance to not feel like total baloney. And like before, it was entirely optional.
(21:11:04) Riker Ford As the hand was offered, Riker looked confused but he'd accept it, the gesture. He felt the familiar pain of healing, only rapidly paced and he balled up his hands as he had. It was painful, especially his leg. However, when it was all done he could stand again. The pain was mostly gone and he nodded to his mysterious savior, "Thank you..." He followed him towards Juddson and Jaiyden and found his clothes. Just out walking around with his prince albert and jacob's ladder to be seen y'all and all the things inbetween (tattoos and piercings). He needed to go find his daughter... Gracie... Bentley, it looked like everyone else was going to be okay and well now everyone was gona be flashed by a very pale Riker. Enjoy the 11 inch dong y'all.
(21:15:57) Jaiyden felt that heat of hand and the smell of his own flesh burning. "Fuck." he muttered, that was painful. At least without the bleeding he could feel the threat of passing out ebbing away. A hand reached up, brushing a stray lock of hair out of Juddson's face, eyes locking with his for a moment. The silence around them was deafening and it took him a minute to process it all. "We won?" which meant Devin had won and nobody had died. Right? God he hoped nobody had died. His attention shfited to the approach of Tobi, looking to that paw but shrugging as he reached out for it. What's the worse that could happen? He was pretty sure she had been the source of the aether he had felt earlier, which meant whoever she was...could at least be considered friendly right now. As for Riker and his dong? >>
(21:16:03) Jaiyden Yeah Jay had missed that thanks to the almost dying thing but damn...he missed out on a golden opportunity to make a joke or something. Next time right? <<
(21:18:15) Juddson glanced up as Tobi offered the touch. It was more the proximity of another body than the gesture itself, and he realized that this was the stranger who had come to their aide. He didn't know who he was.. but he knew that he was thankful. "Thank.." He didn't have it, just reached out, and let out a long sigh. God damn, he felt... okayish. "We won," he agreed. "Fuck. I hope everyone's okay..." He needed to get up and moving, but honestly who was in the shape to get Jay inside right now? He needed to know where his son was. He needed to know that he and Casey were okay, and he wanted to check on Devin.. but he had a feeling they'd all be dead if Devin hadn't won, so.
(21:19:34) Faune: West had nearly guttered out the flames on the side of the house when she heard Ren's voice. She dropped what she was doing and darted to Ren. "You--" She was gasping, teeth clenched as she tried her best to figure out what exactly was hurt on Ren. She'd seen him without his glamor. But he was definitely hurt. "No--fuck you-- sit... lay down..." She worked her arm around his hips, trying to help him back down. "Please-- Ren." She'd spotted Riker, but he was up on his feet, so... he was... doing okay, maybe. "We-- it's too dark. Gonna... get light. Get... bandages..." West was hot to the touch as she darted off toward the house, grateful she'd worn her boots and not her heels.
(21:23:11) Suthern heard it in her voice, annoyance and concern. He couldn't help but smile a little bit. "I'm... fine..." He told her and sighed heavily as she cursed and made demands of him. To which he would follow cause he was so tired right now. He simply knelt down as she helped him and would steal a kiss to her neck if he could, "Okay... you look pretty... by the way..." He had noticed the dress and offered her a soft smile before he simply continued to move and lay down on the ground, closing his eyes and before he knew it, he was asleep.
(21:24:31) Hayatobi shuddered. Not from physical contact, but after it was all said and done. Their form wavered, rippled as seen through water. Then re-solidified, held together by... spit and duct tape, maybe. Even so, their mask remained a constant, grinning presence amidst the aftermath. Equally, the vibe Tobi gave off was cheerful, all the gratitude accepted in silence. With effort, the likes of which required at least three legal pauses. Unknown helper stood, three tails going unusually still. Hayatobi looked around, at the carnage, those left alive. The battle was won, hopefully, so too was the war. With any luck, these peopel would bounce back, fiercer than ever. With that thought, Tobi's outer refrain vanished, leaving the scrawny youth, appearing, for all purposes. Entirely human. Arm broken, chest vermillion, shirt soaked through with the sanguine trails. Hand cut up where the arrowhead had grazed palm. Tobi wasn't breathing, nor did they show outward signs of pain. Turning, [c]
(21:25:50) Hayatobi the dimunitive figure directed themself where the 'front door' of this place stood. If no one stopped them, the ghost would walk straight, past all the bodies. Out into the surrounding world, not turning back even to look upon the farmland one more time. (f)
(21:39:21) Juddson watched Tobi, but he didn't have the strength to make them stop.. or, really, any sort of right to do so. Tobi had helped. There was no reason that they shouldn't be able to leave if they wanted to. Ren was out, Riker was... hopefully going to his family, and Judd could have fallen asleep on the ground out here honestly, but he knew they needed to get inside. "Ericc... Ericc's out there," he muttered weakly to Jay, forcing himself up to his feet. "We have to... gotta find phones." Ericc might have his.. right? Judd was going to sleep for a month after this, but they had a few things to do first.
(21:41:56) Jaiyden. Thanks to whatever Tobi had done, he was feeling less like collapsing and more like he could actually stand. It still wasn't going to be easy but he did manage to push a hand to the ground and lift himself up to a knee. "Shh, it's fine." he tried to assure Juddson, but his words were meaningless. He knew they were. The mention of a phone had him struggling to his feet. "Inside." that was where he had left his anyway. He wondered if Ericc had thought to take his with him. Had Casey? There were any number of people he could try to get in touch with, he just had to make it inside the house and get to the damned thing.
