10,000 B.C: The Ancestors of the Cytaari, Mortis, and Kodiak Animists migrate across the land bridge to north america from Tibet, colonizing much of western north america.
1000 B.C.: The Cytaari religion begins to diverge from the other significant religious groups in the rockies, the Mortis and Kodiak Animists.
300: The Cytaari Priesthood is formed as a formal organization following a bloody purge of the temples. The induction and castration of priests at a young age is mandated.
1495: The Principality of Aldyrax finishes the conquest of the northern rockies, solidifying its position as the primary power in the north american world, at least for the time being.
1534: The Principality of Aldyrax declares the abrahamic religions sacrilegious, and from that point onward considers itself to be in a perpetual war with the european powers.
1537: The First Battle of Cusco ends in a narrow incan victory against invading spanish forces
1543: The Second Battle of Cusco ends in a spanish victory, and the occupation of peru by spain begins, while incan forces in the south continue fighting against the spanish invaders.
1561: The Principality of Aldyrax leads a naval invasion of spanish Peru, allying itself with the remaining incas.
1592: The city of Cusco is finally liberated from the spaniards, and Peru is lifted from Spanish occupation. The Inca become a protectorate of Aldyrax.
1601: Following a series of military defeats, the Spanish colonial forces are forced to withdraw from the americas, and most of the unprotected citizenry are massacred by vengeful Inca or Aldyraxian forces.
1630: Due to decreasing pressure from european powers, diplomatic relations between the Mortis and Aldyraxians break down once more, leading to enmity between the factions.
1665: Aldyrax annexes Alaska, bringing the Kodiak Animists in line. Their religion is tolerated generally.
Early Modern
1738: The alliance between the Hyakuya Shogunate and the Principality of Aldyrax is formally announced
1801: Aldyrax successfully subjugates the remaining kingdoms in central canada.
1841: The Hyakuya Shogunate merges with the imperial dynasty of japan by the Shogun adopting the child of the emperor as their heir. This move avoids the Boshin war, resulting in Japan's noble class remaining somewhat intact, although diminished in privilege compared to before, as well as with more social mobility.
1860: Aldyrax begins a widespread eugenics program
1800-2000: Gradually, the Aldyraxian priesthood changes in shape, diverging from a centralized faction to a number of orders that fulfill particular roles, with the priestly duties becoming more focused.
1978: Coinciding with the earliest succesful genetic enhancement programs, the Divine Avengers are first formed as a militant order of the Priesthood in Aldyrax.
21st Century
2021: The major bioreactor facilities are installed in the Citadels in Aldyrax, and the citizens of the Citadels begin to be granted gene therapy en masse
2025: With the rapidly changing political landscape in Aldyrax as a result of successful widespread genetic enhancement, the Divine Avengers come to become the foremost political power in Aldyrax, supplanting the Priesthood that came before. The Phoenix Prince has come to be selected from among the Divine Avengers, as they are the most noble and heroic of Aldyraxian citizens.
2064: The Chlorophyte Trooper is deployed in Aldyrax, marking the first infantry armed with either power armor or directed energy weapons.
2078: Biomechanical neurological constructs are designed in Aldyrax to assist in administration and provide more objectivity to meritocratic succession and the justice system.
2100-2108
2107: The A-17 Solar Musket and B-12 Chlorophyte Exoskeleton is introduced in Aldyrax, updating the Chlorophyte Trooper.
2109
January 31st: War breaks out between the Varangian Union and the Republic of Germania, supported by the French Revolutionary Empire, as the Varangian Union launches a series of nuclear strikes against its rivals after peace talks break down. Before anti-missile defenses can be activated, Berlin is partially destroyed by nuclear strikes due to its close proximity to the Varangian Union. French Revolutionary Imperial forces, including detachments from italy, fight in the ruins of Berlin against Varangian forces.
