Overview:
The island-home of the dwarven kingdom is situated just between the continents of Vianden and Mvaserine. Much of the island appears to be one metal fortress built up around a large mine where a large majority of the world’s metal is mined. The only greenery and foliage immediately surrounds the perimeter and draws inland for a few miles prior to meeting this construct. At its central-most point is a deep mine, rumored to go to the very bottom of Vaelthea itself and, at points, burrow through the floors of its aquatic surroundings. At the base, there is a forge crafted into Vaelthea’s core. The Dwarven people mine various metals and rocks below the surface of their home, and it is their primary export.
Government:
Mayor-Council Government. The dwarven mayor is elected quinquennially, and his/her cabinet is selected biennially, creating an overlap in cabinets with each new Mayoral electee. All dwarves get a vote in the election so long as they have made their first decade, and record keepers diligently count each vote to produce an outcome. The populace is typically unconcerned with politics beyond Stoneborrow, but the island itself is heavily contested with humans wishing to govern the citizens.
Magick
Unlikely to be magickally inclined.
Religion
Not at all religious. They believe only in the value of an honest day's work... and pay.
