  • Lakeside Farm Living

Lakeside Farm, if you're lucky enough to find it, boasts a few special amenities one wouldn't usually find in the middle of the apocalypse.

Thanks to the generator and the well, there is both running water and electricity. (Of course, to spare gasoline, these are only widely available for a couple of hours in the morning and evening.) The farm house bathroom is available for those who have made prior arrangements. Otherwise, there is an outhouse on the property.
The communal shower is a small section of trees that has been roped off. Sheets hang on those ropes, providing privacy. There is a bucket to fill with water that has been heated over a fire. You are generally meant to provide your own soap, but occasionally a Good Samaritan will leave some supplies behind for whoever comes after them.

The farm provides vegetables and fruit thanks to the garden and small orchard. You can also get fresh meat, thanks to the abundant supply of chickens. You have milk from cows. Cows and pigs also provide meat, generally on special occasions.

The gasoline that keeps the generators running on schedule also provide fuel for the few vehicles the farm is lucky enough to keep.

There are also a few occupied trailers on the property - families with children or older folks tend to get these spaces. Tents are also available to live in. They work mostly for 1-3 people who don't mind living in more cramped spaces.

Everything is readily available to anyone who is looking to the future, despite the apocalypse. If you're willing to put in the work on the farm - be it working with animals, crops, meals, laundry, etc. - you are welcome.
