Planet Design Contest! - Deadline 11:59pm FST Aug 30th
Hello Mobius! It has recently come to my attention that our player-made planets section is WOEFULLY UNDERPOPULATED BY PLANETS!
To remedy this I’m hosting a planet design contest with some juicy dragon-scale prizes. Planets may be as tame or wacky as you like, as long as they fit within the Mobius universe rules! For extra points try not to just think about the way the planet looks, but its affiliations and history e.g: a history with Galfed, space pirates, poachers, illegal miners, LEGAL miners, farming, perhaps even a new organisation or mob family you created specifically for this planet. Almost anything goes, don’t restrict yourself! Check out our official planets page for inspiration.

1st Prize – 100 GD + A full body art piece from me!
2nd Prize – 75 GD + A bust art piece from me!
3rd Prize – 50 GD
Runners Up – 25 GD each

Contest Rules:
- Feel free to take inspiration from other places but no direct copies! You may be gently critiqued if something comes too close to existing fiction and given the chance to alter it before the contest is judged. Refusal to alter stolen or heavily lifted material will result in disqualification (though I doubt anyone here would do such a thing).
- Minimum 500 words overall. Go into as much or as little depth as you’d like but try not to under or over detail your points.
- If you have any questions, drop us a line on this thread or preferably in #questions on the discord.
- You may enter more than once but you cannot win two prizes, only one of your entries may win.
- All submitted planets will belong to the Mobius universe upon creation and unrestricted access so don’t make anything too personal to you! Keep the community in mind (credit to the creator will still be given).
- You MAY submit art for your planet as long as it is in some way your own, generated images are welcome but no stolen images. Extra points are awarded for visuals.
- The fleshier the better, planets may even be created with a race connected to it. Anything you add, any world building you do adds to your points.
- Players may request one extension to the deadline if enough people need it.
- Judges will be picked nearer the end of the contest, if anyone hasn’t entered they’ll be nominated as judges to avoid any subconscious bias.
- Submit the planet to User-Made Planets by the deadline: 11:59pm FST 30th of August 2020. Use the form already provided on the thread and have fun!
