Anthony was surprised to hear from Ardaen, and he had agreed to come over. He was feeling a little nervous, especially since they'd all had too much to drink at their last meeting and things had gotten a little out of hand.

He wanted to look nice though, and so he had pulled on a dark red v neck sweater and some tight darkwash jeans. He pulled up outside of the house that his GPS told him was Daen's and took a deep breath. "Well...here we go." He got out of the car and went to knock on the door and hoped that he had the right address!
Brae seemed to be a little better so Cael had insisted Daen go home and get cleaned up and some rest. But Daen couldn't stop himself from calling Tony once he was back in his own home. He'd been thinking about him since their drunken night.

He was just tugging a shirt on when he heard Tony knocking on the front door, he wasn't wearing anything really special but he did have a worn out pair of jeans on and his long sleeved blue gray sweater that brought out his eyes. A few day old beard clung to his features, but it wasn't too crazy just yet.

Opening the door he offered Tony a bright smile, "Hey, Tony. C'mon in." Bucky was laying on the couch, taking pretty much the whole thing up but he managed to push his head up on the arm of the couch so he could watch this newcomer with a skeptical eye! "Thanks for coming over...I...I really wanted to see you again." Of course he'd finally get out of the way and actually let him into the house which Daen was still working on, but was starting to look like a home.
Tony gave Daen an easy smile, "Your house looks great. When did you move in?" He walked in and when he saw Bucky his whole face lit up, "Is this your puppy? He's cute! Can I say hello?" If he was allowed he'd hold out his hand for Bucky to sniff before trying to pet him. "Do I get the dime tour?" He flashed Daen a smile and he felt his stomach go tight. Daen always had such beautiful eyes.
Daen practically beamed, "Right after Christmas, my little brother Cael gave this place to me and Rider...slowly starting to make it home." Bucky lifted his head and Daen grinned moving so he could pat him on the back, "It is! His name is Bucky, and totally. He's a good boy aren't you Buck?" Bucky's tail wagged and when Tony reached over to be sniffed and petted he'd get little licks before having a giant head stuffed into his hand.

Tony wanted a tour though and Daen couldn't have lit up more, "Definitely. Hell I think I could do better than the dime tour." He couldn't help himself and winked before reaching out to offer his hand to Tony. If Tony let him take his hand he'd start heading towards the kitchen, "Obviously this is the living room, and this is the kitchen." He'd show him the kitchen, which was well stocked and looked like Daen obviously used it pretty regularly.
Tony loved on the dog, "Aren't you the cutest thing?" When Daen offered his hand, he gladly took it and followed Daen around. "I didn't realize your brother was well off." He looked over the kitchen, "Still like to cook? Memaw and I still talk about the time you made us all dinner."
Bucky woofled at Tony and wagged his tail, he thought he was pretty damn cute to be honest. With Tony's hand in his he couldn't help his heart flutter a bit, Tony had always been able to make him do that. "We all were at one point, came into some inheritance but I spent a lot of mine on the divorce and then Heather pretty much took the rest in alimony payments." Daen wasn't poor, but he couldn't have afforded this house on his own either.

The question about cooking got a smile and he twisted to look at Tony, "I love it, Rider does too. We cook together a lot." Tony's Memaw was mentioned and he beamed, "How is she doing? She was always so good to me."
Anthony gave Daen's hand a squeeze, "I'm sorry to hear about Heather. Is Rider taking it okay?" He smiled about the cooking, "She's still doing pretty good. Spry for her age. Her and grandpa live nearby, up in North Ridge. We should take a drive and see them one day, I know they'd really like that. Memaw would love a grandbaby to spoil, and you know that's exactly how she'd treat Rider."
Daen looked at their hands and then up to Tony, "Don't be. I'm not." As for Rider he gave a little shrug, "Some things are hard for him, there was a lot of ugliness in our marriage. A lot more in the divorce, but he's happy. And that's what is important."

Talk of Tony's Memaw was much easier than Heather and he just grinned, "Good, I'm glad to hear that. I love the two of them." They'd been better family than his parents ever had to him and Daen had always appreciated that. Tony was talking about driving up to see them and Daen smiled so bright he could have exploded, "I'd love that! Aww Rider would adore her, and he could always use more people to spoil him." There was a laugh though, "If I can ever get him back from Ainsley, she's pretty attached."
Anthony looked around, "Is that where he's gotten off to? Dallas really needs to put a ring on that woman. She's perfect for him. They'd have such beautiful babies." He still hadn't let go of Daen's hand, "Okay, living room and kitchen, check." Time to show him the rest of the house!

"I can talk to them about it, it's really not that far of a drive. Maybe next weekend if you don't have plans and you manage to actually get your son back?"
Daen laughed and nodded, "Yeah...I..." Then he sobered some, "There's been a lot going on with the twins, Brae was in the hospital for a while so they've been really great about babysitting him for me." As for Dallas putting a ring on it he nodded, "I've never seen him so happy before, if he doesn't put a ring on it I'm going to put it on both of them and tell them to say yes."

Tony wanted the rest of the tour though and he tugged on his hand, "Alright then, this way." And he'd start to lead him to the study. "I like that, maybe if it's alright with Memaw I can cook for you guys?"
Tony's face fell, "What happened to Brae? Is he alright?" He wasn't especially close with either boy, but that didn't mean he wanted something bad to happen to them. He knew Daen loved his brothers to pieces.

He followed Daen to the study, "I think she'd love it. We can make a big family thing of it and all go to the grocery store first. Do you think Rider would like that?"
Daenie chewed on his bottom lip, "Promise you won't say anything?" If Tony did he'd get the saddest look from Ardaen, "Braeden attempted suicide, he got into some trouble, got pretty drunk and stoned and then slit his wrists...we've been taking care of him through withdrawals." He sounded heartbroken and made himself look small, "I thought we were going to lose him, Tony..."

When they were in the study he twisted to look up at Tony again, "I'd like that a lot, and yes I think Rider would too. He's never had a lot of that, it'd be good for him." It would be good for Daen too.
Anthony sucked in a breath, "Oh my god. Why? Is he okay?" He pulled Daen closer to give him a hug, "If you need anything let me know. Even if it's just someone to talk to for awhile." He gave Daen another squeeze and let him go, "Do you think it would be alright if I sent him some flowers? Or am I not supposed to know anything?"
Tony pulled Daen in and he just melted against him, "He's...it's a process. It'll take time." As for why he just buried his head against Tony, honestly there were so many reasons he couldn't just pick one. Tony was being sweet and he pulled back to look at him for a moment, "Thank you, Tony. Really, it means a lot."

The squeeze was returned before Tony pulled away, "I don't think he's ready for anyone to know I just...I had to tell someone." Daen looked down, he felt bad letting Brae's secret out but he really had needed to say it out loud for his own well being.
Anthony still felt like he should do something. "What if they just said get well soon? He doesn't have to know you told me the real reason." He went back to holding Daen's hand and he tried to smile, "Also, you have to finish showing me the rest of your beautiful house."
Tony got a soft smile and Daen gave him a little nod, "I think that would be really sweet Tony." When he had his hand again he gave him a squeeze and couldn't help but smile a bit more, "I do...lets go upstairs, the rooms aren't quite done yet but they're pretty fun." With that Daen would take Tony up to one of the spare bedrooms first, "I set this one up for the twins." It was of course done in bunk beds and Marvel universe comics everywhere.
Anthony followed Daen right up the steps and grinned at the room, "I remember Cael always carrying comics around with him in school. I take it he's still really into them?" Tony wasn't looking down on it, he actually enjoyed some of the marvel movies himself! "Why bunkbeds though?"
Daen smiled, "Yeah he is, we all own the comic shop together. It makes him happy, and I love that." Though he wasn't sure where it stood now, he hoped it was still true. The question about bunk beds got a smile, "They have always had bunks, they have their own rooms but a lot of times you'll find them in the bunkbed. I think it's comforting for them." He would drag Tony to the next spare, "I haven't set this one up yet, but I think I'm going to make it a simple spare bedroom, so anyone can use it."
"Oh really? Do you still draw? I have so many of your pieces still." He had often thought about hanging some of them, but they still made him too sad. He followed along to the next room, "That's cool. It must be really different having a twin. All the ones that I've known have had this really special bond." He looked a bit worried, "Not that it's better than a brother or anything." He felt like he'd really put his foot in his mouth and he was eager to change subjects to the other room, "Got an idea of what theme you want in here?"
Ardaen had that sad look again, "No, I haven't drawn since graduation." He sounded broken talking about it, but he had not done a single piece since then and couldn't even bring himself to look at his work. "I didn't keep any pieces, Cael found some boxed up a while ago at the house. He and Brae keep trying to get me to try again, but I'm not sure I can still do it." As for the twins and their bond all Daen could do was nod, "They do, it's like...like two pieces of a whole." But Tony was back peddling and he smiled softly and squeezed his hand, "it's okay I knew what you meant, but it is really different." As for the room there was a shake of his head, "Not yet, any ideas?"
