Rin was sitting in a pile of things on his bed and staring at nothing. His mind was buzzing with so many things, most of which were the whispers he couldn't stop. Jagged thoughts, pointed insults, painful memories... He felt a shiver run through him, causing his fur to stand on end. He hugged his chest and rocked in bed for a moment before finally shoving himself off it and shuffling to the kitchen. He bounced off the walls, clutching at his hair in fist fulls and tugging until he stumbled through the kitchen doorway. Shaking hands made it hard to get the kettle on the burner for tea and he dropped the pop with a curse.

Water went all over the tile and Rin cursed. He crouched down to clean it up and gave up. Instead he hugged his knees to his chest and huddled against the cabinets.
For once in what seemed like an eternity, Theo had finished her work early. Giving herself a congratulatory pat in the back for getting everything out of the way, she thought a surprise visit to her favorite fox den would be the perfect thing.

Hopping down from her iron desk she raised her hand to create a portal, one that would connect her to the mortal world. Stepping through, her surroundings shifted suddenly from that of hell fire and sooty stone to that of Rings bedroom.

Theo's hooves clopped down on Rin's bedroom floor, just before hearing the commotion in the kitchen. "Perfect, he doesn't know I'm here" she whispered to herself.

Rounding her way out of the bedroom and down the hallway, Theo quickly and regally barged into the kitchen entrence, one hand on one hip and her hooves planted in a wide, not so lady like way that could only be described as...well, a typical Theo pose. Without waiting a second, or bothering to see the state of Rin's current conditon she announced herself.

"HELLO, LOVER!! I HAVE ARRIVED!!"
Rin flinched back hard, hitting his head on the cabinet behind him and whimpering. He hadn't been expecting his girlfriend and even though he should have been able to hear her coming, he wasn't paying attention. He started to break apart into shadows, whising into shreds. "Oh... Hey... Theo...." He clutched at himself, trying to smooth down the tendrils lifting away.
Theo's once confident expression seemed to melt off her face as she witnessed Rin practically beat himself up and break apart before her. Her expression softened, or at least, as much as it could soften as she approached him, her fingertips brushing against the shadowy tendrils that grew out of him.

"You wanna get some air?" she asked in a much softer tone as she crouched down beside him; She understood how hyper sensitive he could be sometimes.

"Maybe a walk will clear your head, huh?" her fingers brushed the silky hair from his eyes as she spoke.
Rin looked up through his hair and nodded. "Y-yeah. That's probably a good idea." He pushed himself off the ground and wobbled, trying not to slip in the puddle he made of tea water. He grabbed on to Theo to steady himself and made it towards his door. By the time he got there he was thinking the air would definitely help and he made his way out the door and up the path. The tendrils at least were reattaching as he went and being out in the open made him feel less cramped.
Clopping towards the door, Theo's hand settled on the small of Rin's back, rubbing the soft fur slowly and affectionately.

The air outside was hot and slightly humid with the slightest hint of fog starting settle down from the tops of the trees. Theo loved weather like this and she took in a deep breath of air as they walked into the forest together.

The birds around them immediately stopped their songs as the two walked through the woods. Theo wasn't phased by the "Reverse Snow White Effect" she had on Topside creatures, but glancing up at Rin to see how he was doing made her wonder.

"How ya doin' up there?"
Rin hunched and shook his head. "I don't know..." The feeling of relief being outside was short lived. As soon as Theo asked how he was doing, he was immediately not doing well again. He bent forward and clutched at his ears, the din in his head getting louder and louder. He shook his head as if trying to shake something off him. "No... definitely no..."
Theo took a step back from Rin to give him more personal space. Her ears perked up as soon as Rin toppled over; she could feel something sturring from within him. Some sort of familiar energy trying to force it's way out.

"Do you think you're gonna be sick?" Theo asked out of politeness. She knew the answer already.
Rin couldn't even answer. He shuddered from his toes up to his ear tips and back down. Those wars flopped uselessly at the sides of his head and his tail went limp. When he straightened finally, he was not the same. Sure, it was Rin's body but the demeanor and posture were someone elses. Tarakane stretched, popping his neck and back with one movement. He let out a happy sigh. "There. That's better."
Theo shook her head slowly and shifted her weight onto one hip, her arms crossed in front of her coyly. "Oh, dear. How could you do such a thing to my Rin? So mean." Theo chided, wile one corner of her mouth turned up into a crooked little grin she couldn't hide. It had been some time since she last came in contact with Rin's other half. Usually she'd hear about his appearances after the fact, but these one on one encounters where quite the treat. She swayed her tail from side to side in attempt relax the hair that had fluffed up in the transformation. Tarakane was so intriguing.
Tarakane perked and turned to look at her as if he hadn't been aware of her before. His lips split into a wide grin that wasn't Rin's at all. "Theodora. How pleasant that you're here." His grin increased and he turned to the demoness. "How do I find you today? Are you doing awfully?"
Theo couldn't help but laugh at Tarakane's formal way of speaking. "Pfft. Yes of course! But please, you can call me Theo. Formalities aren't really my thing."

Theo took a step towards the strange thing that was no longer Rin, her eyes glowing a dim yellow with excitement and curiosity. "So I always wondered, what exactly happens to Rin when you decide to come out and play?" Theo eyed Tarakane up and down as she asked.
Tarakane laughed. It was deep and rumbling and weird coming from the scrawny fox man. Tarakane tilted his head to the side. "He's still here. In the back." Tara poked the back of his skull. "Just watching the show I put on for him."
Theo's ears perked up at the sound of the deep laugh and voice emanating from Rin's mouth. "Ahh I see. Well then." Theo uncrossed her arms and grabbed her own chest, pushing her breasts together to show off an overly dramatic cleavage. "HEEEEEYYYY RIIIIINNNN~! Hope you're enjoying the show!~ <3" she nearly sang the line before letting go of herself.
Tarakane arched a brow, unsure where that was going at first. Then Theo was shoving her chest in his face and he smirked. "Too bad he's not really here to enjoy them."
Theo shrugged "Eh, a little teasing never hurt heheh." Taking a step back she brushed her bangs away from her eyes and gave Tarakane a small grin. "So what's the occasion? Got any plans for death and destruction?"
Tarakane grinned. "Teasing can hurt quite a lot. That's why I enjoy it." He watched Theo and shifted his weight on to one hip, waving a hand as he answered. "I was going to go to the city and see if I could find his sister. But it seems like too much bother now. I'd have much more fun with you."
"Of course I'm more fun!" Theo was quick to agree with Tarakane's idea before her ears perked up. "huh, didn't know your had more family members close by. Though I'm not surprised, poor Rin does;t like to talk about you much.." Theo's words trailed off before her face screwed up into a grin and she giggled the rest of the sentence out. The whole situation was really tickling her funny bone, being how much she loved to tease Rin...and the very thing that torments him was talking to her, all while he takes a back seat and watched her laugh at him. It was such a wonderfully twisted cycle of pain she couldn't help herself, and every time she looked back at Tarakane she was reminded of the situation and the laughter would come back out.

Theo tried to cover her mouth to surprise it, but she just wound up standing there with her face screwed up, laughing silently to herself like the class act she was.
Tarakane snorted. "I don't have any family. He does." He was referring to Zeki, Rin's twin and her brood of children. He was raising his brows at her now as she laughed for seemingly no reason. "Are you going to be alright?" He didn't sound annoyed, just mildly amused himself.
"Pfft! Yeah...it's just..." She paused for a moment to let the giggles pass. "It's just the whole torturing Rin thing....and here I am, chatting it up with you...while he watches..." She snorted. "Ahhh...it hit me in the funny bone."

With a sigh she composed herself, brushed her hair away from of eyes again. "Well, I would say hanging out with me is much more fun than scaring a bunch of fox kits, but how do I know YOU'RE gonna be any fun, Tara-cun~!?" She gave him a playful poke in the chest on the final syllable, her tone of voice teasing and melodic.
