Isaak was doing what Isaak did almost every day of his life. He was floating in his own cloud of smoke, a hookah fluttering through the air like some mechanical squid thing. Turned on his back, Isaak was working a tiny house, fixing the porch. He had the thing fluttering just above his stomach like an otter in the air and all of his focus was on the teeny weeny parts.

He was wearing his usual, which wasn't much. A purple bandana to keep his lazy dredlocks out of his face and a matching tye dye sarong.
Halfway across the room, Caroline reclined in mid air, one leg crossed over the other; one sequined high heel dangling from her foot that bounced lazily in the air. She was waring a red strapless cocktail dress and diamond riviere necklace with matching bracelets. Of course she had to dress her best, she had just gotten back from a successful haunting and was celebrating the job well done at her little brothers.

"Hey, Isaak. You ever plan on sharing that thing? You've been hogging it for 20 minutes"
Isaak had zero concept of the time that was passing. He was in an utter daze, one might say he was... foggy. He jerked his head up at the sound of Caroline's voice and blinky his glassy, red eyes at her. "'Line! Heeeeeeey." He grinned wide, letting the house go so it could float on its own for a bit. He was reminded of the hookah squid next to him and grabbed it up to take a long toke before sending it careening her way. And by careening, he sent it gently drifting to her but his senses were blurred. "Dude, watch out maaaan."
Caroline had to shake her head at her brother's utter lack of self control, though she couldn't help but smile as well. He was her "annoying little brother" after all, and despite his short comings, she could never be upset with him.

Twisting around so that she was now resting on her stomach in mid air, Caroline placed her elbow down and rested her head in her hand, as if there were some invisible table floating in the air with her. When the hookah hose finally came into arm's reach, she daintily took hold and took a long toke from the mouthpiece.

Exhaling a cartoonishly large cloud of smoke she floated over to Isaak, splitting the billows of smoke in her wake. "Can I see what you're working on?"
Isaak gently bumped into her as she got close and rested his head back on her shoulder. He lifted the house without touching it and let her inspect. It was a little colonial set up, something he'd seen recently when popping upside to Earth. The porch was still being put together, Isaak was taking his time on putting in the little wood slats.

"It's like, a little family house, 'Line. Wrap around porch and like...picket fence stuff. Humans call it the American dream, 'r something." He twisted his neck round to find the hookah and pawed for the mouthpiece.
"Ooo! That's really neat!" Caroline squinted at all the tiny details of the model, ignoring her brothers plea for another another toke from the hookah for just a moment. It was only after she took another hit herself that she handed the mouthpiece off to him.

Turning into her back once again, she crossed one leg over the other in feminine modesty and pulled the hair tie out of her dark hair. Inky locks spilled forth as she shook the tiny knots out of her hair to get more comfortable.

"Are you expecting anyone over today?" She yawned the last part of the sentence, smoking always made her a bit sleepy.
Isaak nodded and nodded. The house was really neat and he was super proud of himself. He took the mouthpiece when Caroline was done and huffed away. The house floated betwixt them with some loose slats splayed out beside it while Isaak was occupied. He let the smoke out between his teeth like some dragon, "Ya, 'Line. I gots a few friends stopping by here and there to pick up." Who or when they were coming escaped him... the door wasn't locked so they could just enter when they got there! "You stickin' round?"
"Yeah I think I will." Caroline stretched and yawned the end of the sentence, floating up and away from him slowly. She was done with all her haunts for the day and could use a bit of down time.

"Mind if I do my nails?" The question was rhetorical. By the time she was done talking the little toiletry bag from her purse was floating next to her, emery board and nail polish out. Each item working as if some invisible nail tecnition was manicuring her chipped polish to make it perfect again. Who ever Isaak was expecting would just have to deal with the smell of nail polish. That is, if it could even be detected beneath the heavy scent if weed.
Isaak grinned lazily, "Cool. Cool." He enjoyed his sister's company! He shrugged about painting her nails and wiggled his toes at her, "Wanna do mine?" If she wanted to, she was free to, Isaak would be a good palette and stay still for the grooming. Otherwise, he was cool with floating and chatting and periodically working on his new town.

At length, the door was knocked on. Isaak didn't seem to hear; he was in his own little world. There was a second knock and then the door just opened on it's own and a familiar face came in. Rohit wasn't exactly a big presence without his sister to work off of and he walked in looking around for the smoking lizard. "Hello?"
Caroline giggled at Isaak's request, perhaps for a bit too long thanks to the smoke's effect. She wiggled the tip of her tail at him as if to shoo his foot away from her. "When I'm done with mine!" She had to force the last part of the sentence out before the rest of the giggles choked off her words. Despite this, her nails we're still being tended to perfectly.

When the door opened, Caroline was just about done and ready to start on her brother's toes, but stopped to see who had just walked in.

"Ro! Fancy seeing you here!" her voice chimed as the nail polish brush magically started to paint Isaak's toes a lovely shade of red.
Isaak giggled with her, they were contagious. He shifted onto his stomach, legs bent up and ankles crossed as she did her own. He focused back on his building while she finished up and gracefully spun in place when she was ready to start.

His head fell back to regard the door as Rohit came in and he nodded his chin up in hello. Ro brightened at Caroline's greeting, his horsey tail lifting and sending a ripple through the long fur. "Hi, Caroline. How are you?" He walked in under the floating lizard siblings and pulled the door shut behind him. Isaak belatedly realized what he was here for and stretched himself as far as he could so he didn't have to 'get up' to reach Ro's purchase.
"Great!" Caroline was still suppressing a chuckle, but finally managed to compose herself when Isaak reached to give Ro his order. The Nail polish brush following him until every other toe on each foot was shiny red.

"How've you been? Working on any cases at the moment? I've got a pretty big haunt that would look a lot better with your name on it then in auction."
Isaak tossed a baggy to Rohit and the horse like demon put his silver down on one of Isaak's tables. The poltergeist trusted he left enough and pulled his feet up toward his face to look at his nails. He giggled, loving the pattern. Ro stood just below Caroline, tucking his baggy away and crossing his arms over his chest. "You have a soul ripe for dealing, you mean?" He frowned a little. "I can't make a contract unless we're called up from a Crossroads, though..." He seemed disappointed!
Caroline frowned when Ro delivered the bad news. "Multiple souls actually. My original dealer punked out on me and It'd be a real waste to loose this haunt in auction." She had put a lot of effort into this job, and the tone of her voice really gave away her desperation.

Caroline twisted around to sit on an invisible chair, one leg crossed over the other to stay modest as she floated down to be at Ro's level of sight. "Would you happen to know any other brokers who could take this haunt? I promise it's a really good one!"
Rohit watched he come down and frowned. He shifted his weight from heel to heel and flicked his horse tail, sending a wave through the long fur. "I could give you some businesses. You've maybe heard of Pyre and Brimstone? I know they take on independent contractors and stuff. You could probably inquire there." Ro patted his pockets, pulling out a little booklet and a card from there, "Ask for Firuz. I know him and he's always looking for a deal for souls."
Caroline took the card offered to her, admiring the shiny gold lettering against the pitch black background. "Thanks, Ro. I'll definitely stop by!"

She had heard of the company several years ago, it was quite a big deal firm and she always felt a little intimidated by that. But this was a great opportunity she was getting from her friend, and it made her heart flutter in nervous excitement.

"Do you think I'd need an appointment?"
Rohit smiled brightly, pleased to be able to help. He only ever wanted to help with Caroline. She was some aloof beauty was never going to... She was talking to him again and he'd missed it. "Oh, what? Appointment?" Ro blinked and shifted his weight. "Uh, you should probably call, yes. I know Firuz has been spending a lot of time topside on some case."
"Alrighty!" Caroline chimed as she beconed her phone towards her. The thing made a lazy journey to her hand and she dialed the number listed on the back of the card.

"Gimme just a sec, Ro." And she floated a bit higher off the ground to excuse herself while she made the call.

A cheery sounding secretary answered on the other line and Caroline gave her the details, being sure to mention Robot in her pitch. The entire call didn't last more than a few minutes, including the time Caroline was put on hold, but she thanked the secretary and floated back down to Robot and Isaak when she was done.

"Well, that was easy. I have an appointment in an hour." She gave a thankful smile to Rohit and placed the cell phone on her dress pocket.
Ro stood happily while Caroline got the call in. He felt accomplished for helping and smiled from 'Line to Isaak. The male iguana was floating upside down now, thankfully in a way where his sarong was hanging over the backside of him and still covering his green junk.

"That was fast! They don't usually see anyone that swiftly. Do you know where they are?' Rohit would happily go accompany her to the office if she needed it!
"IIIII have actually never been there before...so if--" her eyes made a quick glance at upside down Isaak and she reached an arm out to tug on his foot, spinning him right side up again. "--if you're not tied down with anything, I would appreciate the company."

She smiled in such a way that seemed to make her blue eyes sparkle and she actually touched down on solid ground to stand instead of float. Her heals clicked on the hard stone floor and she beckoned her purse to her, which floated seamlessly over her shoulder.
