"'ow 'ard is it to find a bloody tree with a bloody doorknob?" Remy stumbled through the Forest unsteadily, grumbling to himself all the while. He really wished the dimensions would stop hocking him back and forth like some rag doll. He was aware that his particular nature was interesting to misfit foundation like to Forsaken and the Nexxus, but his body was worse for wear by the time he found himself in one or the other.
Upon arriving to the Nexxus last, he'd been hunted and shot and the bullet wounds were still finding their way closed. Silver bullets were not the friendliest. Remy's face screwed up in a scowl as he pushed his way through yet another bush to circle around yet another tree trunk to search for the doorknob.

Amani was walking aimlessly thinking of what sugary monstrosity she would make later that day. Stretching, she started singing to herself softly. She stopped abruptly hearing the grumblings of a very familiar voice. "Puppy?!" she whispered. Then called again louder walking in the direction of the voice.
Remy was to the point of giving up when this tree was also door less. He stomped out of the bush in annoyance an awarded himself a spike of pain as he jostled his arm.
"Brilliant," he muttered as he made himself stop to settle. His arm was still in a sling to keep it from tearing the wounds open again, but he had his jacket and bag draped over his shoulders. His ears twitched as he picked up on a familiar sound.

Amani was still wandering in the direction of the grumbling and rustling. Still calling "Puppy" every now and again, pushing through bushes and walking around trees, hoping to stumble upon any sign of Remy. Amani was starting to worry she was making everything up in her head, not for the first time.
He sighed deeply and resolutely stood in place until the fae emerged from whatever direction she was coming in. His perpetual scowl was plastered over his features, but he couldn't help but feel a glimmer of relief that she found him. Stumbling through the Forsaken was how he'd gotten lost in the Nexxus to begin with.
His mismatched eyes lifted to where she stood and his frown dipped further. "'i." Perhaps not the best of greetings, considering his accept caused him to drop the crucial 'h' which really made the word what is was, but Amani would understand.

Amani stood across from him for a moment, before walking up to him and poking him in the chest to make sure she wasn't making it up. Confirming that he really was there, she smiled hugely and launched herself at him taking some care for his injuries. "I thought you were never coming back!" She peeled her face away from his chest to look up at him. "What happened to you," curiosity and concern in her tear brimmed eyes.
Remy grunted and uttered an ow as she slammed into him. Direct hit or no, the skin was sore around the wounds and most movement hurt.
"I said I was coming and 'ere I am," he grumbled at her, pushing her off with his good arm. "I got shot. Twice."

Amani let him push her off. "Twice?!" Grabbing his hand she started making angry mutterings and stomped off back the way she came until she came before a tree with a doorknob shoved into the trunk. "Why didn't you tell me. Let's fix you up." Turning the knob she led him into her "tree". Steering him to the couch she pushed him down gently. "Are you hungry? If you are not now you will be when you're fixed up. I can start something for you now if you like." She walked away and started busying herself in the kitchen area.
"I went the 'ospital already, woman. You don't need to fix an'thing, just don't 'urt me more!"
But he let himself be led into the tree, nearly dropping his over-stuffed back pack on the way in. Once on the couch, he peeled off his jacket; a new looking jacket at that, and let the back fall loose onto the cushions.
"You don't 'ave to do an'thing special." His brows met and he frowned.

"Hospital?! No I will fix," she finished washing her hands and went to a cabinet near the refrigerator. She pulled out a two jars and a vial. Walking toward him she put them on the table near him they were labeled, uh-ohs, wolfie uh-ohs, and close-up. Walking back to the kitchen she grabbed a mug of hot water and tossed something from the cabinet into it. She pressed the mug into his hands and kneeled on the floor in front of him. "Shirt off please. Oh and that is going to be bitter but it will make it feel better." She gave him a look that meant business.
Remy's head fell back against the couch in annoyance. He knew if he did not comply, she would just wrestle his clothing off and that would do more damage to his person and his dignity. He slumped forward to grab his sleeve opposite with the injured arm and pulled it forward to free the good arm. From there, he was able to free himself with more ease and dropped the shirt on the floor. He had two wounds; one in his pectoral and one in the deltoid, both on the right side of his body.
It was clear that he had been treated for the wounds, but it looked like a few days had gone by since they'd been attended.

Growling at his wounds. She got up again and gathered gauze pads and took the stopper out of the bottle marked wolfie uh-ohs, covered the top with it tipping the bottle to wet the pads. She gingerly went over the wounds, they started to clear up almost immediately. Taking care to take a the dropper out of one vial she dropped a few drops on each wound causing the healing to come even faster. Just for good measure she took the clean dropper filled it and squirted into his tea. "All better!"She beamed up at him from her position. "The tea will make the pain go away and I put some stuff in there to heal you from the inside too!" Looking smug, "See I've gotten much better at this!" She sat down next to him attempting to curl up on him for a minute, knowing he would move her soon enough.
Remy tried to withhold the wincing, but he did't do it very well. The sores were still raw when she touched them and it was hard to conceal it. But he did not try to remove her from her work as he might have someone else. He eyed the tea warily and chose not to drink it; it smelled funny.
He grunted in response to her boast, but he was starting to feel better already. It was as if a weight had been lifted off his chest and he could breathe more easily for the first time in days. He relaxed on the couch for half a second before his skin prickled. "My shirt.." He leaned away from her to gently remove her from his side.

Amani sighed and smiled. "There are clean clothes for you in the other room," she said as she got up from the couch, expecting him to follow. Walking into a room a little down hall past the kitchen. The room sported a nice sized bed with leaf patterned sheets and green blankets. There were two dressers, one covered in random nicknacks that looked splatter painted with bright colors and another that made from a dark wood. She walked over to the wooden one and put her hand on it. "This one is yours, I promise everything in it doesn't smell sweet. I put pine packets in the draws," she looked down embarrassed, she knew almost everything she touched ended up smelling sweet, one of his biggest pet peeves. "Also the bathroom is across the hall if you want to clean up..." she gave him a small smile. Normally after she patched him up, he would clean up, repack and go. As she walked out of the room she added, "This time before you go will you wait? I have to give you something," not turning back to see his face she went to the kitchen.
Remy had been listening, but he walked into the bathroom before she was done. He shut the door, but she knew he could still hear her talking. When he was finished, he flushed, washed his hand and face and exited. He paced to the dresser she indicated earlier and opened the drawers. He selected a maroon hoodie like shirt and pulled it over his head without another shirt beneath. He would change his jeans also, but not when she was standing right there.
He turned to her, his wild hair that much more wild due to the shirt being pulled over it. "I don't need an'thing." The mismatched eyes looked suspicious.

Amani went to the kitchen so he could finish changing. She did not really want to leave but knew he wouldn't change in front of her. She didn't understand that aspect of him, she had no problem changing in front of him. It was actually quite fun, watching his reaction and then his embarrassment of them. Why couldn't he understand how cute he is?! Dropping that thought she started making him a roast beef sandwich. She was toasting the bread with Swiss cheese before putting the meat on the sandwich, crinkling her nose at the smell of the rare meat. Putting the sandwich on a plate, pouring him a glass of water, she walked over and set the plate and glass on the table She then walked over to a shelf and selected a dusty box.
It only took him a few seconds to change his pants; in case she walked back in the room as a joke. He was much more comfortable in the jeans top, un-ripped jeans and new undergarments and socks. The feeling would only have been heightened if he'd taken a shower first. But he didn't have the time. He told Amani he would come for a visit and he had. No need to prolong it.. Or give her ideas.
He walked into the kitchen, while fixing the shirt around his hips. He was lightly thinner than he was the last time he'd been here.

Amani sat at the table with the gift on her lap. She watched him fix his shirt longingly. "Please?" she pushed the plate with the sandwich at him. "I meant to give you this a long time ago but it never seemed like the right time. No time like the present for a present!" She held out the box with a huge smile on her face.
Remy frowned as he seated himself across from her and looked at the sandwich longingly. He was very hungry, but she wanted his attention first. He looked to her as she pushed the box in front of him. It did not look as sinister as he had expected...
He reached for it and opened the box tentatively. Inside, he had to shift through the decorative paper to find something cold and metal... Well at least it wasn't alive and full of teeth like other things she held dear.

"Its not going to bite." Amani smiled hopefully. "Its a doorknob! This way you can come and go as you please." She got up from her chair and took the box and sat it on the table. Putting herself in his lap she put her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. "Just say you'll take it." Amani hated saying goodbye to him. She was trying her best to not smother him but also get as much contact as she could before he would run out on her again. She hated never knowing if he was coming back.
