Basic Ghost Hunt. That's what this job was supposed to be. Well, that's what the last hunt was supposed to be. And then she ran into the Boys. And it sort of turned into "three hunters squabble over the basic ghost hunt." Well, they had been fun to hang out with anyhow. Henna sat astride the Hyabusa and stared at the old mansion. Nothing creepier than an old mansion! Sighing, she wished someone would answer her messages and almost reflexively, she pulled her phone from her chest pocket to check it.
No answers. She needed more friends. Stuffing the phone back into her leather jacket, Gehenna pushed down the kick stand and left the bike. First things first, she was going to case the place for EMF activity. Device in hand, she began to walk the mansion's perimeter. Earlier, she had googled all she could about the place. Dated back to the 1800s, string of suicides inside the place and no activity since. Except for about a week ago when a teen was found strung up in the entrance way. Henna wondered why people thought it would be fun to hang around a creepy old mansion in the dead of night anyway. Couldn't people just tell it was haunted?!
Not to mention the bramble patch she'd had to hack through to get to the steps!

Reid walked out of the library, headphones in blaring music. She had finally gathered enough information on the ghost she was hunting. She got into Liam's 1970 chevelle, she had a love hate relationship with the car, she had been there when he pulled it from the junkyard and had helped him every step of the way, but she really wanted her own car. She would ask Liam to help her build one. She drove to the mansion, a little nervous. This was her first solo hunt. She pulled up and parked a little away from the mansion.
She got out of the car and made sure everything on her person was in its place. Knives: check, gun: check, salt: check, lighter: check and phone: check. She took a deep breath and walked toward the mansion. That's when she noticed that the brambles around the walkway had been cut. It wasn't like that when she scoped it out on her way to the library. She quietly went to take a look around.

The EMF was going off nearly all the way around the house, but it low, low doses. Like it wasn't exactly sure if it was picking up anything. That made Henna frown. She was just about through the back perimeter, walking around the grandiose fountain in the yard as well as the wrap around deck. This place would have been the highlight of someone's life if it still inhabited people. And you know, didn't kill anyone.
It was hard goings around the other side of the house where she guessed a garden might have once grown. Now it was just more bramble patch, high and thick and impossible to go through. She gave up after a few whacks at it and went back around the other way. She was grumbling to herself in Japanese when she reached the front of the house again, pulling twigs and stuff from her hair.

Reid walked around looking for an easy way in for later. She saw a few windows she could easily jimmy open and climb through. She kept walking around the place passing the fountain and making her way back to the front of the house. So far so good. When she close to the front she could swear she heard something. She walked faster toward the sound thinking it was a clue.
Henna had just about enough of being covered in brambles an twigs. She cursed loudly in a string of Japanese and pulled her jacket off in a huff. The stupid thing was all dirty and she was getting pissy. Shaking the jacket out, she muttered about how she should have worn her usual one and actually cleaned the ectoplasm off it right away like she knew she should have. Any one listening to this one sided conversation might find it more odd than any other one sided conversation.
"Yes, and you should have called them before you decided to be lazy and not clean the stupid jacket. He would have known how to get the gunk out. Uuuhg!" Tantrum thrown, she began to stomp back to her Hyabusa.

By the time Reid got to the sound it was gone. She shrugged, if it was related to the ghost she would find out soon enough. She walked back to the car and went back to the motel. Her plan was to take a quick nap and eat a snack before going back to the mansion.
When she got back she flopped on her bed face down, not even bothering to take off her boots. Pulling her phone out of her jacket pocket she set an alarm to wake up in a few hours and waited for sleep to come.

It could be said that it was funny how things worked out; but honestly Reid's motel was the closest to the Mansion. Henna googled it on her way out. She planned to come back when it was dark and more likely to have spooky activity.
She came up to the place all noisy on her bike and parked it in whatever spot she found first.

Reid woke to her alarm. She rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling. She hoped she was ready for this. She had gotten a lot of crap from her da before she left about how to do things and if she wasn't ready to just come home. Reid laughed, like she would just go home defeated, that would prove him right. She sighed and got up off the bed steeling herself for what was to come. She checked all of her pockets making sure everything was in place before leaving the motel room.
Henna was a little later on the get go. She hadn't been asleep herself, but she was occupying herself with the ipad, playing games. She was just now on a winning streak in this stacking game and didn't want to stop, even though it had fallen dark out. The big bag Boo could wait a little longer!
However, her bricks began to tumble and she deflated. "I almost beat the highscore! Damn it!" She shoved the device back into her bag and flounced out of the room to find it was, oh hey, really dark out. There was a thick cloud cover over the town blocking out both moon and stars. "Great." After checking out, she revved up the Hyabusa and was on her way. She was not surprised to find an old car parked near the mansion. What was wrong with kids!? Was it so interesting to see where someone had died?!

Reid was sittin in the car eating an apple listening to music, while she waited. That's when she noticed the motorcycle. She got out of the car apple in mouth like a roasted pig. She was about to tell that kid to go home! She took the apple out of her mouth, fluffed her hair, thinking it was a boy, and walked over with a twist of her hips. The closer she neared she realized it was not a boy at all but a very cute girl. She smiles brightly to say hello.
"What are you doing here? Don't you know someone died here last week! Have some respect!" Well, that left Henna opened to be asked why she was here, but she didn't want any punk kids around. If she had to, she would whip out the FBI badge buried somewhere in her bag. She eyed the girl who exited the car; tall, orange hair and a pretty face. Henna frowned, trying to guess the girl's age.
She was much too bubbly looking, smiling and saying hello! Henna frowned, butting on her best angry cat face. "You need to get out of here. It's not safe."

Reid smirked, "I should be the one telling you that." She was sizing Henna up, and that's when she actually looked the motorcycle. She was immediately lusting after the bike. "You're bike is beautiful. What kind is it? It looks expensive..." She wondered just how expensive and if she would be able to con her brothers into helping her buy one.
"It is." She said this as answer to it being beautiful and expensive. She was immediately on the defensive with this girl. FBI badge it was! "Look, I'm here on business. Agent Li for the FBI." After a second of digging while she spoke, she pulled out a black leather bi fold with her "FBI" identification inside. She flashed the badge and was putting it away again as she continued to speak. "I'm going to have to ask you to clear the premises or I will be forced to remove you myself."
When she flashed the badge Reid immediately started laughing. She dug in her pocket and pulled out her "FBI" badge. "Agent Connolly, nice to meet you. Now agent Li I'll properly introduce myself if you will." This girl was so serious, she couldn't help but laugh. She knew there was no way this girl was FBI with her bike and the way she was dressed. FBI agents couldn't afford a bike like that.
Henna's expression darkened. "Look, Newbie. I was here already this morning. I have this area covered. Shove off before I put some hurt on you." She had unzipped her leather riding jacket and holstered over her shoulders were two small hand guns. She hadn't meant it as a threat of shooting her, but if that's how she would take it, so be it. Her pack was slung over her shoulder, full of salt, lighter fluid, matches, her iron knife, the EMF reader and other various objects.
She was prepared to shove past this girl should she get in the way.

At the word newbie Reid's expression went from open and friendly to serious and she gave the girl a glare. Newbie my ass she thought, she had been learning to hunt since she could walk, had to learn about everything on top of school work and wasn't allowed in the feild until she was 12. This just happened to be her first solo job. She could see this girl was not going to be friendly in the least and honestly had no affection toward her anymore. "Look I'm not leaving. Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours." she turned on her heel started walking back to the car to gather the last of her stuff. She was not going to leave and let da think he was right, that she would never be anything more than a mouth to feed and marry off.
Henna had to smirk. She was already walking back to the house, EMF device out. The faint register she had gotten before was stronger now. Going more haywire as she walked closer. As her foot hit the front step of the entrance stairs, a plume of dust rose around her which caused her to cough and smack the cloud away.
"And Creepy Mansion just gets creepier," she muttered to herself as she walked in the front door. In all directions she pointed, the EMF freaked out.

Reid was cursing and muttering, ther more angry her mutterings the more an Irish accent afflicted her speech, as she put her knives back in her thigh holster, putting the iron one closest to where her hand naturally dropped. Everything else she already had on her person. She didn't duel weild like henna she only had one pistol in a holster on her left side in her jacket. She to the front door, since this girl was already walking right in she figured she didn't need to jimmy the window like she thought. When she heard Henna's emf she almost groaned. She didn't have one which was going to make her look more like a newbie.
"Beautiful," Henna said to herself. She was very much in the habit of speaking to herself since she'd split from her Parents and the Boys. She didn't snap at herself for her snide attitude or misunderstand what she was saying and make a big deal out of it. Though, she did miss being called Pips and Short Stack. For whatever reason, she liked when her friends came up with nicknames for her; despite them being about her height.
Placing her bag down, she fished out the iron knife. She strapped it over her skinny jeans as she had done on the last ghost hunt and placed what looked to be a plastic container with salt and a hello kitty design on it in her jacket pocket. The bag was designed for bike riding and had one strap that laced over your chest like a seatbelt. She made sure the thing was on tight and began her search for bodies.

Reid could hear the emf going nuts. She clicked on her flashlight and went to search a room Henna wasn't in. She hated being treated as inferior and the more and more she thought about it the more annoyed she got. She thought oh look another girl hunter, maybe we could be friends. I guess not. She unzipped her army type jacket so she could easily grab everything she needed. She hoped she would find something useful soon.
