Announcer's Speech

  • Group Focus

    Ladies and gentlemen,
    Young and old,
    Monsters and madmen,
Creeps and freaks of all kinds,
    Welcome...

    TO OUR OWN PERSONAL HELL!!!

The announcer leans down to pick up a crying baby girl, rocking her in the crook of his left arm as he continues to speak.
Thank you all for coming here tonight. As you all know, we have been pushed into the corners of society, shunned and ignored, our voices drowned out by the dull monotony of the crowd.

The child the announcer is carrying starts to calm down, now only sniffling slightly as the announcer bounces her gently on his hip, still addressing the crowd.
But here, here we can sing our songs to our hearts' content and be heard! Here we can wear our colors however we want, and be proud, instead of fearing for our livelihood when we wore a scrap of anything but grey.

The child is no longer crying, and is now looking up at the announcer, smiling and giggling softly. The announcer looks down at her and smiles, before raising his head and continuing his speech.
    So,
    Ladies and gentlemen,
    Young and old,
    Monsters and madmen,
Creeps and freaks of all kinds...

The announcer returns the now giggling infant to her grateful mother.

    Welcome home!
