Can we finagle an excuse for Dorothy to get recruited into this investigation? 
Maybe as simple as the deputy asking her?

Becca, would Elmer know any details about the strange occurrences at the mine since that chamber was discovered? We talking minor things like lanterns suddenly going out? Strange whispers? Or something a lot more concrete?
