It's a cute little pet shop, right? You can come here to get your familiar groomed. Give them a relaxing, refreshing boost!
Azura was simply walking her dog when she came across the pet grooming shop.
'Or is it a salon?' She wondered, peeping in the window. 'Ah,' she thought, seeing the rows of dog toys and brushes lined up in racks, and the big curtained space at the back of the room, 'probably both.'
She walked inside, picking up her puppy gently in her arms. The bell above the door jingled, and as Azura looked around she was almost immediately bowed to, questioned rapidly, and swept into the back of the store.
The operator seemed to know what they were doing, as they clipped back their purple hair and began to apply hypoallergenic soap to the dog. Azura stood by nervously.
The person seemed very professional, at least, and chatted in a friendly tone as they washed, brushed, and cooed at the dog before vigorously drying him. He seemed to be having a good time, at least, which made Azura giggle. He usually didn't like baths.
Here he was glossy and shining though!
"Now then," said the shopkeeper calmly, "we will have your dog rate his experience on a scale of one to ten! Then you'll just get your receipt at the checkout, have a free stamp if you want, and be free to shop or go on your way. Come along, sweetheart!"
They added this last to the dog, before leading him over to a large row of colorful shapes above buttons on one wall. "Just press one, there's a good boy! Nice puppy. Thank you! Have a great day."
Azura left, a little bewildered, but with her dog seemingly quite a bit happier and more energetic than when they went in.
