Luthor looked at the kid and what he said and sighed, "We all make mistakes but it is when we learn from them is when were greater. I will look over this time but expect my forgiveness time... Also watch out for the crew, I may have forgiven you but the others may be angry at you for making them lose their loot."
“Yes Mr.” Karma have a quick nod. “I’ll find a way to make it up to you. Promise”.
He nodded as Luthor walked away to his throne and ordered the helmsman to stay on course to the Broken Teeth Mountains as to find and see if the legends and the treasure map were true to its name. Some of the crew glared at Karma while some ignored him while polishing the cannons and rifles.
Karma ran around helping with whatever he could. He was probably only around 16-17. Karma felt ashamed that he’d messed up so bad.
So after that whole debacle, The Dread Abyssal would arrive at a beach with the sand was a coarse dim yellow and the mountains almost black but with a blue hue. Luthor had a landing party organized to land and he had Karma to come with him to pay for actions. So when they landed, he had everyone there start building tents and building a makeshift dock for the Abyssal. During the setting process, Karma would hear insult being directed at him but it was very few.
Karma had to remind himself not to get angry. Normally he would, and probably steal something, like their belts, and run off. He didn’t. He realized these people could and would tear him to shreds. He did whatever he was told with no complaint.
During this time Luthor sent scouts ahead to find and track the paths that his group would take. Luthor was in the command tent talking with his quartermaster about how the treasure should be split amongst the crew and their belief of what it was. So 2 hours passed and the tents were finished and the landing party was being assigned to different tents. The scouting party returned with the most unexpected news to Luthor. They had said where the treasure would be was a temple long and ancient but looked to be intact.
Nightmare searched long and hard to find the Fire Totem for Kuro so that he could have another force to be reckoned with. After that, he'd send it to him and continue his search across the Elemental Isles to find his crew
Luthor smiled at the prospect of temple raiding of this scale. He had some of his men come with him in this excursion into the temple. He had Karma come and told him if he wanted the forgiveness of the crew, he had to prove himself by trials of joining different missions and showing himself an invaluable part of the men. Luthor ordered those joining to head near his tent and await further instructions.
Of course Karma was ready to do anything to make up for his mistakes. He made it to the outside of Luthor’s tent and wait. He shifted nervously from side to side. Unable to keep still.
After more discussions and planning between Luthor and The Quartermaster, He had around gotten 20 men that include himself and the quartermaster. He ordered them to move out towards the north where the temple was found with Luthor occupying the front of the party. Eventually, they would see a massive, ancient temple that seemed to be thousands of years old. Luthor chuckled at the sight of the temple before he had the party stop in front of it and only had him, the quartermaster, three of his Depth Guard and Karma to come along to the inner sanctum of the temple.
Karma was feeling quite nervous as he followed towards the back of the small group. He didn’t quite know what he was gonna half to do in order to earn his stay.
There were spiders and their silk webs all across the walls and ceilings with the occasional clean and open block which confused and bit Harkon on edge of why this occurrence has happened. The more they walked down the temple they would find a door. The Quartermaster with the torch finds what seemed to be a stone doorknob on the floor which he picked up and found a hole. He shoved it in the hole aggressively and twisted the knob quickly and what they found astonished Luthor and his gang. In the room was a bright glowing piece that seemed to be radiating so much magic and it seemed to call to Luthor.
“Woah... What is that?” Karma voiced aloud as he stared in wonder. It was magnificent!
"Boy... I wished I knew." Luthor said back to him as he walked closer to this artifact of unknown origins. When Luthor got closer he felt powerful but the same time, fresh, and at Peace. So when he touched it the piece the light began to increase but Luthor began to get a good look at it. It was a large gold disk hollowed in the middle for it had a cube that also gold but had a blue crystal for each side. The magic began to increase before Luthor began to laugh loudly and placed the magical artifact in a pouch on his person.
“Mr are you alright? Is that all we came for?” Karma asked. A little disappointed he hadn’t been able to do anything.
He laughed again before saying, "Of course boy, if there something I learned about these temples is that there is usually an underground portion full of golden trinkets." He said as he motioned everyone to go forward for he found another doorway past the original resting place of the artifact.
“Well then let’s find it!” Karma’s eyes sparkled as he ran forwards and tried the door to see if it was locked or anything.
The door was shut tight Luthor discovered, so he had one-half of the group to grab one side and the other half the other. When everyone was in their positions he began to pull on the right-side double door it to open it.
Using all his strength Karma did his best. Hoping it’d open. He couldn’t think of anything right off the top of his head that he could do to help aside from what he was doin right now.
