On the west side of Lightning Street, the Purple District is the domain of Funk Mafia, zealous, stuffy sticklers. The architecture is clean and organized, with influences ranging from neoclassical to post modern, with an obvious art deco flare. Personality reflected in the bold colour choices and stark contrast of its most famous clubs. |

➠ VENUES

Aqualux: The classy, watery dance bar of Don Nina. The theme is gilded art nouveau and mermaids. Funk Mafia Deep Sea Electro Swing Club.

The Grooveline: Frankie Valentine's club. This discotheque sits right on Lightning Street near the middle of the island. It is the Purple District’s front line and sees the most action from enemy dance crews. It serves as a training and recruiting center for the Mafia, testing and sorting out fresh Steppers.
Fever: In the Square Days, it was the largest hospital on the island. After V-Day, many of the doctors gave up the traditional methods of healing, instead using their vibe to aid people. The hospital has been completely renovated to remove all that useless old equipment and bland furnishings. Larger areas were transformed into dance floors, and patient rooms were turned into groovy lounges. The only machines left alone were the Dr. Vendy machines hidden away in the basement, though they are still used quite frequently since there are so few real doctors remaining on the island. Though Fever is still operational as a Venue, it is no longer headed by a high-level Boss.
The Aria: This newly opened building an event-style venue under the control of Funk Mafia Boss Hide Miyagawa. Its primary purpose is to host large-scale events, parties, and performances such as concerts, competitions, galleries, or fashion shows. It is located on the far northwest side of Purple overlooking the beach with a walk-out bridge leading to the shore, allowing events to be held as a combination of indoor and outdoor.
The HUB: This previously FM-owned Venue has found its way back into FM's hands back in X108 after a decade of being UG's hands (OPP) . It holds a large black market consisting of drugs and goods taken from other factions and a variety of rare Vendy machines that can’t be found anywhere else and is run by FM's Agatha Perry.

St. Summer's Hospital
Purple Venue
One block into Purple off of Lightning Street is St. Summer's Hospital, an emergency care centre and medical clinic. St. Summer's primarily services Funk Majesty members and unaligned Purple residents. Regardless of faction, no patient will be turned away; however, UG, Squares, and Banditos will be treated with far less urgency than Purple patients. UG and Banditos should also expect an increased security presence while being treated.
St. Summer's has a sleek white brick façade, and a tall steepled roof which gives it the appearance of a cathedral. The purple stained-glass window of Saint Donna Summer, fixated on the steeple, is the building's focal point.
St. Summer's is equipped with an emergency room, a walk-in medical clinic, and a state-of-the-art compound pharmacy.
All services are offered at a lower cost than non-essential Dr. Vendy care. These include:
Thanks to efforts initiated by the Chrome Coalition, the doctors of St. Summer's now do occasional outreach work in the RD. They volunteer at any RD medical clinics that are willing to work with FM doctors.
Given the futuristic nature of medical care in Step City, most doctors at St. Summer's are "jack-of-all-trades". Surgery, pharmaceuticals, family medicine; everyone dabbles in a little of everything.
(Not yet publicly known, but worth noting OOC: Nails has chosen to redirect the UBI funds from deceased and banished Hua family members towards the hospital. Her name is attached to this donation, but Nails is rather adamant about "not making a big deal out of it.")
Employees:
- Nails Hua - In residency: general medicine, trauma care, orthopaedics
- Dr. Richard Feelgood (NPC) - Chief of medicine. Dr. Feelgood was once a physician at Fever. Following Fever's conversion into a nightclub, he scraped together what funding he could and founded St. Summer's Hospital. Feelgood is not the last name he came to the island with, but rather a nickname that eventually stuck.

Purple Venue

A sprawling two-level dance club in the Purple District not too far from the border with the Research District. Naturally they don’t shy away from disco, but the club’s DJs typically spin music on the industrial side in addition to New Wave, Punk, Electronic, Goth and other similarly styled new music.
With a harsher vibe compared to many of the District’s iconic disco institutions, it’s a little more of a niche destination, but all Purple citizens are welcome to the world of dark, foggy dance floors lit by neon and strobe lights if they dare.
The club’s first floor has two full bars, a large stage, and a MASSIVE dance floor.
The second floor leading up from the staircase on the right is a quieter lounge area with comfortable seating if you need to catch your breath. It consists of a smaller but still stocked bar and a mid-sized space to socialize. While dancing certainly isn’t discouraged, it’s more of a place to take a break and talk while still feeling the heavy bass from below.
The staircase on the left side of the venue is usually roped off, but if you’re in the know, you can say the right words and sneak upstairs.
On club nights, the stage is accessible to all with high top tables and chairs placed throughout for club goers to look out over the crowded dance floor. If you want to talk it’s probably best to head to the second floor, but if you don’t mind shouting over the music or silently people watching, this space is for you. On concert nights however, the stage area belongs entirely to the performers.
(NSFW content behind spoilers) Once a week, the club opens its doors to invite the District’s kinkier clientele for a Play Party to socialize with other members in the BDSM and kink communities and to engage in consensual BDSM activities. The first floor is reserved for socialization, demonstrations and light BDSM activities, a little flogging, spanking, rope tying or other small scenes may take place here. However…if you want to negotiate something a little more advanced or hardcore, rooms are available upstairs to act out your wildest fantasies in a private space (although, you can always leave the door open for an audience if that’s your preference)
Play Party Procedures—upon entry, all attendees must review the Party's rules and guidelines, and sign a safety and consent waiver acknowledging the event's content and consenting to view it. The waiver is NOT consent for any BDSM activities which must be discussed and agreed upon by each participant individually within the Club.
To facilitate kink discussion and help attendees find partners that share their interests, a myriad of colorful bracelets are available to wear throughout the course of the evening, and a color-key is available to download on any electronic device. Bracelet Kinks are extremely diverse and range from your standard Dom-Sub roles to more extreme kinks such as Free Use. Bracelets are also available to those who are curious about the culture who aren't interested in participation...and of course anyone in attendance can report back to the entrance to pick up a new color or two if they change their mind!
If you’re looking to grab a drink, you’ll need to head elsewhere, alcohol is not served on Kink Nights and all mind altering drugs are STRICTLY prohibited. Anyone who is caught trying to skirt these restrictions or is found to be ignoring consent will be blacklisted from both the Party AND club any night of the week. So behave.
…And yes, the “e” in the venue's name is lowercase for the ~aesthetic~.

Lo-Fi Love Hotel
Purple Venue

Searching for a discreet location to host your hookup? Look no further than the Purple District’s side of Lightning Street!! The Lo-Fi Love Hotel’s towering structure houses 12 floors of suites for short term booking (whether you want a room for 1 hour or the full 24) and all reservations are completely anonymous…So if you wanted to drag your secret Square lover over the border to have a little fling, this is the spot.
But you wouldn’t do that…would you?
Rooms inside the LFLH range from the height of luxury to more simple, modest accommodations. Book a lower floor room to just bang it out or REALLY woo your partner by treating them to a decked out penthouse suite. If you’re looking for a real fun time, some rooms even have quirky themes, but regardless of your selection, you’re guaranteed to have a good time!*
*If you have a bad time it’s not the hotel’s fault, you just picked up a total dud.
Want to keep things extra hush hush? When you walk in, you can press a button on the wall to lock the doors behind you to prevent anyone from entering the establishment until your transaction is complete and you’re safely in the elevator and on your way to pound town.
When you walk into the small, well lit, but windowless lobby, you’ll notice there isn’t a front desk or any staff at all! Instead, you’ll find a kiosk and a pair of elevators straight ahead. All you have to do is visit the kiosk to make your room selection, determine the length of your stay, pay the room fee by scanning your CREDit card/inserting your Cred, pick up the dispensed room key and head to the elevators! Quick and easy!Just like YOU.
IF you require assistance there’s a call button on the kiosk display to reach the hotel’s discreet hospitality team…but really, how hard is it to press a few buttons on a screen?
At the LFLH you can leave your blacklight at home knowing that sanitization bots are on sight to ensure each room is made sparkling clean between each booking.
But you might be wondering, is this experience REALLY anonymous? Absolutely! Full disclosure, the LFLH does have security cameras in the lobby and on the building's exterior, however they are NOT monitored by staff and only accessible by verified Majesty personnel in the event of an unsanctioned throwdown, criminal investigation, or destruction of LFLH property.
All security footage is taped over within 48 hours of capture.
So what are you waiting for? Step in today and show your partner you’ve got the moves and know how to FUNK.

roller rink mall where you can disco amongst the stars~
This building is the venue of Wesper, Knight of Stardust
Remember those good ol’ roller rink & arcade hybrids? We have taken that up a notch. The local disco rink has been relocated and expanded to make use of the Big Ass Crater left behind by a certain space ship. And if you thought we were done with spaceships. You would be wrong. Perhaps a bad look to some considering-

F1 - The Roller Rink is capable of dropping down, making use of the big crater by turning it into a bowl for more intensive throw downs. It can also make hills and waves so let’s hope your center of gravity is under control. It is operated by B-03 who also works on safety duty during normal hours.

During normal hours the ground floor of the saucer just sports a regular rink and arcade. A DJ booth for beats, and automated skate rental (Rent full skates or use your own shoes with snap ons) a prize exchange kiosk and an indoor/outdoor bar called Dark Side of the Moon to take a break in the back.
The ceiling above the rink animates with an LED displace of space that can change with songs and events. The Screen can also open up to review the upper level mall floors for onlookers.

F2 - The upper floors are a bit more calm when closed off from the party bellow. Also accessable from exterior escalators to avoid the noise entirely. Seeing the flip side of the same LED screen that is the ceiling below in the center. Exactly like a Mall, these upper levels have food and consignment shops open for residents of Purple to start up businesses.
There is even an outside terrace with split levels for more space looking out toward the ocean.
The inner space is brightly lit by the large dome window above with a clear view of the sky on sunny days and cloudy days or night it is softly lit in pink lights.

F3 - The very top floor is a versatile event space. There are star viewing stations along the wall and the center can be closed and cleared for extra Convention space, LARP practice, D&D.
Events:
Anithyst - Anime convention. All Mall levels, Artist Alley on food floor, cosplay events in roller rink, Top floor panel rotations.Star-Trapped - Startreck/Starwars fan event and Larp/ escape room.
TTRPG Live Play Hosts - Wesper [Rare] - B-03 [Midnight hours post-rink close] - [Hold] - [Hold]
LARP at the Beach - During the day when the Bar is closed the back patio is the starting point for LARP events that extend down to the beach.
