Nina finishes Neeva's tattoo
>
Neeva — 06/18/2021
She had waited as long as Nina suggested, and she had been very careful with the tattoo, despite the incident with Harpur. The upside was that he hadn't actually done anything to make it have to heal longer and she was soon skating in the direction of her fellow Bandito's parlour. Once her skateboard was plucked up, she headed inside without much fanfare.
"Hello. I am here to finish my tattoo." Was an appointment necessary? She couldn't remember, but she figured if Nina was busy, she could hang out and wait until she was finished. "I have also brought you something." She didn't forget the hat atleast.
Her attire was casual, mostly so they didn't have to roll anything up to deal with the job and she'd find a place to set her board for the meantime.
Nina — 06/22/2021
Nina stood back to admire her handiwork. The shop was starting to look more like… well, a shop. And not just any shop, but a tattoo one, at that. Artwork by her hand decorated the walls, and the huge crack in the floor had been repaired and covered up with a swanky (and possibly stolen) rug. Nina looked pleased.
The bell to the front door jingled happily as Neeva walked in. Nina turned, surprised. “Oh—hi.” Mildly confused to see the Bandito here, she was nevertheless glad. She liked Neeva. Nina rarely liked anyone.
“Something?” she echoed, wondering if this ‘something’ was why her fellow ‘Dito was here. “What’s that? I hope it’s not another Milk Maid card, swear to god…” She smirked. “Um, just set your skateboard by the door, in the can. It’s where mine is. Nice wheels, by the way.”
Neeva — 06/23/2021
She was confused by this surprise. Nina did have a tattoo to finish - did she forget. "Hello." She replied with her own confusion and she stood up straighter, the skateboard clutched by one of its wheels at her side. "Yes." She dug around in her hoodie pouch and pulled out the hat she had promised.
"Did you forget everything?" Neeva would ask, and she held the hat for her to take. "Ah, perhaps it is a strange time." It now felt a little awkward, and the Bandito wasn't keen on the anxiety that'd start to swell. "Thank you. It is my favorite." If Nina took the hat, she'd stand there awkwardly for a moment.
Nina — 06/23/2021
Nina didn’t forget, but she did have expectations. She voiced that concern once she understood. “Ha! Forget? Naw, of course not, girl. Um, just, I thought you might call beforehand, set an appointment. Maybe I… forgot to give you a card?” Nina grimaced. “I gotta get things ready. Uhhh… if you wouldn’t mind waiting for about thirty minutes, we can finish it today, but I need to look at your tat, make sure it looks good n’ healthy before we proceed, yeah? Things gotta warm up, gotta clean up a bit…”
Nina paused, feeling awkward to have to mention it. The feeling quickly disappeared when she was presented the hat she bought from Neeva. Nina felt her throat tighten and her eyes sting. She shoved the emotions down, feeling like an idiot for feeling anything at all. Recent events made her such a sentimental and emotional person. She hated it. “Oh,” she gasped, admiring it. “Oh, Neeva, this is so nice!”
Nina was thrilled to take the hat. She promptly put it on her head, and gave a crooked smile. “It’s real cute. I love it. Thanks!”
Nina decided to wear it all day.
Neeva — 06/24/2021
"Oh no, you gave me a card. I do not set up appointments, because I do not know what will happen on certain days or if I am distracted by other things or people. Planning is not easy for me, and I do not like to talk on the phone." Talking in person was easier, as likely noted by the fact that she was rambling a bit. "But yes, I can wait for you to properly prepare. I brought my phone."
If need be, she could watch videos.
"Clean?" Neeva repeated, only to look around the room. "Ah yes, I am glad you like it. It was very fun to make." She tucked her hands into her pockets after and smiled lightly, though as always, her expression relaxed afterwards. "You are welcome." She sought out a chair after. "Do you want to check my tattoo before you prepare?"
Nina — 06/25/2021
Nina uttered a soft “ah” and nodded. “Mmkay, well, we will work something out, because if I’m booked full, you won’t get a chance by just being a walk in. And I am starting to get more customers. You’re lucky you got me on a day I don’t have any. I just don’t want this to be a habit, because I don’t work that way. If it’s an issue, have a friend call me instead, or just stop by and we can make you an appointment in person, I don’t mind doing it like that.” Nina was firm, trying her best to stay polite. She was no pushover.
“Besides, you’re chill. Anyone else, I’d tell them to fuck off and do it properly. But you only get one because I like you.” Nina smirked as she walked over to take a glance at Neeva’s tattoo. “Ooh, yep, looks good. I might touch up a bit here…” She touched where the line looked mildly light. “…but coloring is full steam ahead.” Nina walked back to her station.
“Alright, Sterling, get comfy while I go and get stuff ready. I’ll be back soon.”
It took about thirty minutes, but Nina moved quick. Before long, she called over to Neeva. “Alright, come have a sit down when you’re ready.”
Neeva — 06/25/2021
As Nina went on, Neeva just stared at her, deadpan. "This is the only time I am getting a tattoo." One was likely enough, she'd decided. Going through the same process over and over again seemed tiring. The first one was simply on a whim afterall, because Nina mentioned it when the first met. "Very good, I am looking forward to seeing the color."
As she waited, comfortably, on one of the seats, Neeva went through her phone to watch a few videos quietly. She was mindful of the volume, given she didn't want to dig out headphones only to have to shove everything back into her pockets.
To the other seat she'd go when Nina beckoned her and she'd have her phone put away. "I am ready." Her clothes were adjusted accordingly, but she'd tug her hat down a little lower.
Nina — 06/30/2021
Nina gave Neeva a thumbs up. "Awesome!" She rolled up in her chair, ink gun in her hand and mask pulled over her mouth. She waited for Neeva to get comfortable while adjusting the ink. "So... anything good out there lately?"
Nina proceeded with the coloring. The dragon was starting to come alive, its vibrant colors bright and lovely on Neeva's skin. Nina was quite proud of this one.
Neeva — 06/30/2021
Neeva laid back with her arm positioned best for Nina's range and preference. "Hmm....no, not really. I have been wandering, and met many others. I went to a rave, which was fun, got to eat curry at a Mafia thug's home. Not so fun, he is a terrible host. Another friend has been giving me chips, and I met someone around the UG area."
As Nina worked, she was still and she stared up at the ceiling. "What about you?"
Nina — 06/30/2021
“Sounds like a grand ol’ time.” Silence followed; Nina felt like she needed to exercise focus on the curve of the dragon’s tail with the chosen colors. Every now and then, she would ask how her client felt. And yes, she totally kept her panda hat on her head.
“Dude, I haven’t been to a rave in a helluva long time. Last time I went, I fell hard on my ass and had a bruise bigger than my fist. No regrets though. If you don’t leave a rave full of sweat and boozed up, you didn’t live. What kind of music are you into? Wait, let me guess… you’re into trance. You totally look like a trance girl.”
Neeva — 07/01/2021
"It was." Neeva understood the need for concentration and she made sure not to interrupt, but would allow Nina to know she was doing fine. It felt strange, but there were worst things. "It was very nice, but I did not stay long." For reasons.
"Trance is very nice. I do like hip hop and sometimes, instrumental stuff. I do not think I have a very solid choice, just a mix of many. Whatever sounds really nice." Neeva explained, and she chanced a look over the tattoo. "I like these colors."
Nina — 07/28/2021
“Why didn’t you stay?” Nina didn’t expect an answer. Roller Banditos had this hilarious habit of keeping things to themselves, and the tattooist was no different. “You and I gotta go dance some time.”
Nina finished, and leaned back. “Tada,” she sang, gesturing at Neeva’s tat. “There you go, all done. Whatchya think? Come look in the mirror.”
Neeva — 07/28/2021
"It is complicated." And that would be it! Neeva happily left it vague, though the mention of dancing had her inwardly concerned. "Yes, that would be nice." Perhaps she could control things, or get Marc's help to deal with her vibe somehow. As she mulled it over, Nina was soon finished.
"Oh!" She commented, and looked down at her arm, but soon moved over to the mirror to get a better look. "This is very good. Thank you. Did I pay the rest already?" She'd ask, and got money ready incase she needed to do so.
If she needed to or not, Neeva would pluck up her things. "I must go, and get some food. Thank you again, goodbye." And off she'd go!
