Jacklyn meets Abrahm at his coffee shop!

While an event wasn't really in the schedule anytime soon, Jacklyn still stuck to his usual routine. Weekdays usually started early enough, but it was atleast easy going and he could sit when he needed to - the upside of being one's own boss. It had been quieter that day, lending to a combination of relief and nerves, the latter for the sake of too much contemplation over funds.
Maybe delivering out to certain places wouldn't hurt, but that was difficult when one had to rely on a bike or foot. Eventually, his laptop become his focus as he enjoyed a cup of his own brew, likely turning into a time of zoning out a lot longer than he anticipated.

As much as Abram loved the liveliness of the purple district; there was always more comfort in returning to his roots. Albeit, he wasn't really apart of the Mafia for very long. Though the research district brought back familiarity as he walked along the same broken down grey path.
Though, this was new. A coffee shop? He didn't remember this one being stuck in the corner of this road. He's always been a sucker for good coffee. He decided to take a swan dive and see what this new place was all about.
He was dressed more casually, but still fashionably so in a partly buttoned up purple shirt and black slacks, with some gold jewelry as accents. He is still wearing his mask that covered half his face as he walked up to the counter. He politely knocks on the counter to get the baristas attention.
"It's always interesting to find a new shop here, " He gave a smile to the barista. "I would like to know what you would recommend,"

Jacklyn had been happy to go through what they were working on, but when Abram knocked on the counter, their attention was immediately on him. "Oh, h-hello! I'm sorry, I was just working on something!" Instead of babbling on too much over apologies, he quieted as Abram started talking.
"Thank....thank you! I have always wanted to open a place of my own." He said with a hesitant smile, thinking to himself. "Personally I'm a fan of dark roasts. I've read about coffee from other places, and I wish I could try them someday. B-But, anyway. Do you have a preference? I can make you a cup of any to try, or get you a couple bags for your home?"

"Ah, seems you know your stuff, I'll have a cup of dark roast please," he goes to pull his wallet to get cred. "If I like it, I'll buy some bags, and i'm sure I know some people who like coffee," he shrugs, "after all it's coffee, who doesn't like it"
He takes look around the small, cozy shop. He takes a deep breath; enjoying the overwhelming aroma of fresh roasts around the shop. "How long have you opened shop?" He inquisitively asks looking around the shop to see how it's decorated.

"Oh yes, of course, thank you!" Jacklyn was always happy to make a sale, and overly eager, though while he was quick to get a single cup of coffee ready, he did so without a slip up. "Do you want any other types of coffee, or flavours? I have any you can think of!" He asked, and brought the cup over, digging out sugar and cream from a nearby counter and cooler.
"There's a couple chairs you can bring up and get comfortable in." The barista closed up his laptop and put it away, smiling. "It's not been two long, I needed to get a spot and then the stock, which is easy enough to get through one of the vendies in here."
The Cafe was small, but with shelves of various coffee bags, tea and machines for either drink.

Abram ponders for a moment at the question. "Hmm, I'm a simple guy, just dark roast please ," He goes to grab a chair to the bar to wait for his cup to get ready. "Can you do fancy stuff too, like lattes and stuff like that,"
Honestly Abram has never had a latte, hell he doesn't know what it is as a drink. He places his hand on the bar; "I am used to quick coffee from a vendy, I am excited to try a cup from here,"
He then shifts to putting his head on his hand as he enjoys the small, cozy space he was in.
"How long have you been making coffee for, a while?" he ask inquisitively trying to make some form of conversation

"Dark roast it is!" He'd get a couple bags for Abram and rang those up, along with the cup of coffee. "Oh, I can. I get a lot of interest in those and they're a lot of fun to make." Once Abram paid, Jacklyn would bag up the coffee and set them aside for now.
"Let me know what you think!" The cup was offered over, and he'd sit back down. "Vendy coffee....I don't think I could handle that myself." Sounded gross! Probably like microwaved coffee.
"I have, yes. I worked as a barista elsewhere before I saved up money for my own shop. What about you? What do you do?"

"God, let me tell you," he goes to put his wallet away, as he let his hand drop a healthy amount of cred into a tip jar. "Taste like shit, but when you need to be up late in the night, it helps,"
He goes for his cup and takes a sip. There is a bit of a perk, before he goes again for another sip. He happily shrugs his shoulders up and takes a deep breath in.
Damn, that was good coffee.
"Wow, that's really good, you sure can brew a good cup," He smiled, he pulls out his wallet to put more cred into the tip jar. He perks up a bit at the question, "Well, I do fashion design, I'm releasing something very soon, " he pulls out his phone to quickly send a text to his comrades to try the coffee. "This coffee, it's going to be a real life savior"

The generous tip took him by surprise, and he raised his eyebrows. "T-thank you! I...I agree, though. I used to endure it before I just started m-making my own." Much to his displeasure, but atleast he had the money (and equipment) to actually do so.
"That's very kind of you, I'm happy it's so well-received. I'm always happy to make a cup everytime you're in the area, but I might fail when it comes to the later hours." Simply due to not being around. When Abram texted his fellow Mafioso, Jack took a moment to wipe off the counter and clean one of his nearby machines.
"Oh? Do you have anywhere one could see what you've already designed?"

"Don't worry about it when it's late, I got these to tie me over," he chuckled a bit. "This will help when it's later in the night and I still have work," He grimace a bit at Harpur's text rolling his eyes a bit before locking his phone. By god, he's being dramatic about the whole mafia side thing. Not like he's getting a cup from a UG shop.
He perked up at the question. There's a small smile on his face as he pulls his phone again to unlock it and scroll to his social media to show him some pictures.
"I do post on Stepbook some of my older works if you would like to see, it isn't a lot, but I'm proud of my work," He seemed to be excited to show him his older collection by the wide grin on his face.

"Good to know!" Jacklyn said with another smile, which relaxed after the other man set his phone aside. When another person came in, he'd stand for the sake of getting them their requested coffee and a short chat.
"Oh! I would love to." He said excitedly, closing up the cash drawer quickly. This time, he stood infront of Abram from his little space behind the counter. "How much do you charge? I make an okay amount, working here!"

"Hmm, well, It just matters what you want," he hummed while sliding the phone over to show him different styles. He takes another sip of his coffee while going through his page. He beams with pride as he looks over old clothing he designed.
"I keep things affordable for the most part, and well the few commissions I've gotten were of suits mainly." He closed the app and went into his photos to show pictures of the finished tailored suits with intricate designs. "I pride myself in making clothing that will leave people feeling good about themselves"

"Let's see..." Maybe seeing them all would help him, or atleast he hoped so. He glanced over each picture shown and nodded along, one hand moved his bangs out of his face. "Suits are nice. Probably wouldn't find much use for them myself.."
He didn't go anywhere, and his cafe wasn't that fancy! "Do you charge to do measurements? When would be a good time to set that up?" The barista asked, tugging at his shirt. "I can look up some styles I look and maybe you can add your own flair to them?"

Abrams shoulders jumped excitedly at the question. He has had only one commission in the past. There's a big smile on his face as he listened to Jack ask questions. "Oh, I'm close to show my new line of clothing, but after winter I can take care of you," They ponder a bit as they pull a small card from the back of their pocket. they flip it between their fingers a few time and slide it to Jack.
"Well, My commission price covers everything for you, but you let me know what you want and i'll make something wonderful for you," They continue to sip at their coffee.
