The clan that once controlled the whole island. A rebellion and several uprisings later along with some bad cases of disease left Clan Kazurai weakened allowed for the other two clans to rise to power. They now how to seek favor with the Shogunate once more and take back their island. They are traditional in their principals, and stay away from really taking influence from the outside world. They hold traditional values and let honor guide their path. The are notably the best swordsmen and spear practitioners on the island. Magic is outlawed unless you receive permission from the daimyo. Colors = Blue and Gold

With the upheaval and disease weakening Clan Kazurai, Benamatsu's lord took up the chance to secure territory. Being in the middle of the island with great access to all roads they were able to become savvy merchants. While they're talented at making money and have no real ambition to reunite the island they won't let the other two clans walk over them. They boast having some of the best archers on the island and their people are notably fantastic horsemen. Magic is not forbidden here but also not pursued. Many common people find magic too overwhelming or that it would bring bad fortune from the kami so they avoid it.

Torytoma is the most forward thinking of the three clans on the island. They seek gaining the shogunate favor and control of the island so that they can secretly use this to fund and fuel the rise of an Imperial rule. They believe in the old way of the Emperor and that he is divine and want to use Shiroishima as a seat of power to unite themselves with other clans and eventually over throw the shogun. They enjoy importing things from foreign lands. Gunpowder, guns and many other technological marvels are favored by their military, but they are expensive and rare. They are known for unique tactics and brutality in battle, forgoing honor at times to win. Being that they take the do whatever it takes to win approach the also favor magic. Often they actively seek out magic users and magics regardless of the source to use as a tool in their arsenal.
