Grant Walker
Grant looked out the window through the blinds, half of his gear on. He had arrived only a few days prior to get a job done, just to escort some important person as usual. But now he thought that job would never get done.
He was lucky to get his house barricaded from everything. But the short end of the stick was with his resources. He was almost out. Only a bag of chips and a plastic water bottle.
Grant put his gear on when it all started and didn’t leave it, he slept in it in fact. He also kept his gun by his side, not his rifle but rather his magnum. It was small and easily concealable. So he felt safe around it.
He looked out the blinds again, nothing...calm and quiet. He would book it to the dorms, where people were, where food was. We’re salvation was. Grant grabbed his rifle and put his magnum in its holster. With confidence he grabbed the handle and opened the door. Taking one final breath before taking his first few steps.
The fresh air was no longer fresh as he ran, it felt to him polluted and nasty. But not like he could do anything about it. The dorms were so close, he just worried someone he didn’t want to see him, did.
SCENE POST
While the group on the third floor slowly came together, and the small group of people finished eating Jake, many things came to happen. Jake had his key card in his hand when the others attacked him and it now lay on the ground, about 100 meters from the front entrance of the dorm building. What was left of Jake's body remained there, although there wasn't much. Blood smeared and splattered the walk out front, leaving tell-tale evidence that something horrible had happened. The people that attacked Jake still wondered around, attracted to the whir of the power still here.
Most of the power in the town was out, thanks to the explosions and many buildings lay in ruin. Smoke hung heavy in the air, choking some and making it hard for many to see clearly. Some people had climbed out of broken buildings, running away, only to be met by growing hordes of mindless, stinking, stumbling humans that only growled and lunged at them. Many who fell would rise again, but the humans didn't know this yet.
Many car radios were still on, from where the military had forced people out of their vehicles and into random houses, to clear civilians from the streets. The static and sometimes blaring noise from some echoed in the empty smoggy streets.
Inside the dorm building anyone who could see out front would be able to see what was left of Jake, although it is difficult to say how many students are left in the rooms themselves. Many remained open, the doors left wide and easy to see in. Most had the curtains pulled over the windows, but not all did. On the first floor, there's been some damage, mainly pictures falling off the walls and glass being broken due to the concussion of what had happened before. It didn't look like there had been any looting here, and the doors and windows remained sealed for the time being.
Along the 3rd floor, some radios and TV's had been left on, doing the same thing the car radios were doing. Most places were just static, white noise to make something scary even more terrifying. Every few minutes, the voice of the Void, as he calls himself, and the static cuts out as the tuned out radios sync up to the final broadcast before everything went silent in this small town. "ZOMBIES, THEIR ZOMBIES AND I'M THE VOID. Don't go outside.." and it fades away, the warning a dire signal of what lay beyond the safety of the dorms. Anyone with a radio, such as police, anyone who was in the dorm would have all heard the warning. Should one be close to a car, or a working tv, then they would have heard the warning. The same faded out words, spreading awareness and truth as best as possible.

Grant Walker
As grant ran up to the closest door he could find, he reached for the knob to test if it was locked. Luck not in his side, it was. He had to find a new entrance that wouldn’t involve him getting the people on the inside worried to much. A man with a bulletproof face mask with glowing red eyes couldn’t just come in without suspicion.
Grant made his way around the building, testing doors and windows. As he reached the front, the smell hit him like a truck. His mask could filter gas and smoke but the smell was awful. Grant looked at the body for a moment, the body of some unlucky guy who got eaten by something he didn’t want to know more about.
He slowly made his way over in a crouch walk. Pulling his gun in case. Leaning over the body the smell was even more foul. Out if the corner of his eye he saw a white and blue badge, looking closer it was a student ID. The poor fellow wasn’t as recognizable as he was before.
Grant picked up the badge and made his way over to the main entrance, if this ID even worked anymore. Not knowingly as he put the card up to the reader he looked inside. Where student were. Hopefully none of them were armed.
Sasha Kingsley
Making it to the first floor, she slowly pushed the door open and stepped sideways through it, spying someone hunkered down outside, messing with the doors keypad. Keeping her steps slow, she made her way across to the main entrance and pushed the door open slightly, crouching down so she could be seen the one outside with the bloody pass key.
"Hey man, I don't know you, but I don't think hiding outsides gonna do anyone any damn good. Come on in." She pulled her pistol up, and pushed the door wider so he could slip inside with the smallest amount of fuss possible, while she kept an eye out. "I'm Sasha and welcome to chaos." She said, as she let the door slip back shut, sealing the outside from coming within.
James Turner
As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he saw the two gathered at the bottom. “I have no idea if anyone else is coming. I told the lady with the shotgun to come with me, I feel whatever is going on, we are going to need some firearms.” James extends his hand to introduce himself to the lady and the man. “I’m James, and I really hope what is going on outside, we can handle.
Grant Walker
As Grant walked in and the door was shut behind him he looked around the lobby, there was another person in the room. Male. He waved. Confused by the situation. “Umm, have you established rations already or do you not have any food here?” He asked. Turning between the Male figure and Sasha.
His stomach ached, a bag of chips and water had been holding him over for about two days now. It wasn’t the most pleasant experience but it wasn’t the worse he had happen.

Sasha Kingsley
Sasha stepped away from the door after it had closed, not speaking for a minute as she took notice of the other male that had come down behind her. Sliding her gun back into the holster, she nodded to each of them. "Ya, we have food. Your welcome to some, or to stick around with us. Seems to me there's more here than I first thought. I heard on the radio that it seems like it's fucking zombies or some shit," she said, shaking her head. "I need to head into town. I've got to find out if the troops left and if anyone needs help. If y'all want, you can snag some chips or sandwiches from the kitchen there and come with me." Her offer was simple, and easy. Didn't seem to come with any strings attached, and either way they could have food. She moved over to the door after talking, not opening it, but she just looked outside. Afterwards, she went to pick up the rifle she had left hidden in a cabinet that she had taken from the TA Jake's room, leaving a note inside the gun case letting him know she would return the gun later. After checking the rifle, she laid it up on her shoulder and waited to see what the two others would do.
Grant Walker
“Show me to the kitchen, please” Grant said to Sasha, “Also may I ask who you two are? As you could see I’m not a student here.” He gestured to himself. Grant honestly thought that the people in the dorms wouldn’t be as welcoming to him. His appearance usually scared people, it was custom made after all. It was meant to do so.
James Turner
James looks at Sasha and Grant, “I’m gonna stay here, you can follow me to the kitchen. Keep an eye out for more people so we know how many mouths we have to feed here.” James focuses on Sasha, “Just be careful out there.” James starts to move towards the kitchen, with his bat at the ready. Listening for screams of help or if there were any Zombies in the building yet.
Shortly after moving a few steps James is confronted by the woman that aimed her shotgun at him. "You..." is the only thing that James could muster up to say. He had this feeling she isn't going to kill him, or else she would of done it at the elevator, "Look I think it's best we stick together here." points at Sasha "She's going in town for supplies, and this gentleman here and I are going to the kitchen. Maybe you could put that shotgun to use and help us get in."
Sadessa Dawn
There was a momentary pause, an odd silence that made the dark skin of the shotgun wielding wild woman crawl. But then someone spoke, a male voice that made her skin crawl even more.
Her faded eyes flicked over towards the bat wielding man, then back at Sasha before looking at him again. "And what makes you think I give a damn about you enough to help?" She asked, curling her lip at him. "I dont know you, you dont know me and I only take care of my own. And even he doesn't give two fucks about me either. So all of you are on your own." Her tone was bitter, and the look in her eyes foretold anger, but mostly hurt. Stubbornly, her tears trickled down her cheeks as she stared up at his blurry face, and she roughly wiped them. "I dont need any of you..."
With that, she brushed by Sasha and began huffing her way out of the building. When she got a few feet from the building, she heard what sounded like an animal wailing. Her tear filled eyes widened, and she turned her attention to where the sound was coming from. She saw a blurry figure suddenly before her, groaning and gurgling. It was one of those walkers, coming from a corner right by her without her noticing. "Shit!!" She cried, pulling out her shotgun but before she could aim, the zombie lurched and slammed into her, causing her to be thrown back a few feet. Her shotgun went the opposite was she went.
Sadessa landed on the cement pavement with a loud grunt, rolling some when she hit the ground. Dazed, her vision blurred even more. But her hearing was precise, and she knew the monster was to her left. She rolled out of the way when the walker lurched at her once again, then she quickly began slapping the ground to make sound waves. She saw her gun, the crawled over to it but failed to reach it when the runner grabbed her foot.
She screamed as the thing drug her back.
Sasha Kingsley
Sasha merely nodded at the two males and pushed the door open, checking to make sure she had her key card to get back in later on. She felt it in her pocket but went still when shotgun totting chick came down the stairs, teary eyed but holding herself together. Lifting an eyebrow, Sasha shifted her foot and let her brush past her without any issues, not entirely sure it was the best thing to do.
However, only a few seconds had passed before Sadessa wasn't alone out there and went flying to the ground. Now weaponless, Sasha steps outside and uses the butt of her pistol to kill the man that was yanking on the females leg. "Come on, why don't you ride to town with me." She put her hand down to her and smiled " my hands out, with no strings attached." Sasha pointed out to her truck not all that far away, "that one is mine, let's go."
Once in the truck, it was easy to change the gears and have them leaving the dorm building behind.
Grant Walker
As Grant walked up to James and watched the woman exit he remarked, “guess that’s one less mouth.” (Assuming they keep walking afterward) Grant did feel somewhat unwelcome coming here, but welcome that they allowed him to stay. He decided to lighten to mood a bit, figuring the apocalypse was out side after all, “So, what’s your name stranger?” He asked.
James Turner
James looks at Grant and replies, "Yea but that is one less gun here as well... lets go to the kitchen." As they head their way to the kitchen the door was shut, and James didn't hear anyone inside. When he hears the question that left Grants mouth, he turns to reply, "I am James Turner, frien- uhh... teammates call me JT for short. What about you?" James swings the door open to the kitchen and heads inside.
Grant Walker
“Grant” he said as they entered the kitchen. He glanced around, observing for what food was available. “Don’t worry about guns” Grant said, “I’m much more skilled than whoever is in this building combined.” He opened a random cabinet and pulled bread from it, “Is there peanut butter in here?”
James Turner
James opens his bag and puts it on the counter. "There should be some peanut butter in the cabinets. Leave anything that would be perishable here, we still have electricity so the fridges will keep them good for a bit." James opens a cabinet and grabs a few cans of food and some water bottles. "Grant..." James lets out and with a bit of hesitation in his voice, "what is it like out there?" James turns around to grab a few more cans of food and a loaf of bread.
Grant Walker
"Well, when I was outside it was it was quiet. I dont know about what it looks like now." Grant said as he looked through the cabinets for the peanut butter and other perishables. "Whatever is out there aint good though, dont get caught outside without a weapon."
James Turner
"I've never fired a gun before, I deal with more hand to hand combat. Mostly Jiu Jitsu, and this here bat of mine." James slides a bottle of water across the counter to Grant. Adds a few more cans of food to his bag, and zips it up. "Lets not completely sack this place, there are more people in here that might come looking."
Grant Walker
Grant nods as he takes the bottle of water form the counter. He finds the peanut butter and grabs the jam from the fridge after looking for it. “I suggest you get some target practice, whatever is out there might fight melee. You don’t want yourself getting infected if we are talking the probability of zombies.”
After grant makes himself a sandwich and eats, he goes out to explore the rest of the dorms. Traveling finds himself at the front entrance again, looking outside to the rotting corpse. He turns around and continues exploring finding the staircase.

Klara Schulz
Walking like zombie to the front door with her bag and items for school. As she opened the door the stench of the body outside caught her by surprise. When she looked to see it her mind and eyes caught on. Klara slammed the door shut behind her with her eyes wide, “Sheisse!” She cursed under her breath. She looked around for anyone else inside around her, looking for some sort of help.
DM Post
The sun seemed to slowly but steadily sink towards the earth as the night fell. It took the light and it's warmth with it, leaving nothing behind but chilly air underneath a pink sky. The pink was deep and dark, as if colored by the blood that had splattered on walls and floors that day. The moon was visible amidst it, surrounded by a few clouds that seemed to try and comfort it after the horrors it had to witness. Everything about the sight seemed to tell the people of Clarey that this was no ordinary night, and the chill felt almost like freezing even though the summer hadn't officially ended.
Streets became quiet as a lot of the survivors found their way inside of buildings. Some returned home while others tried to seek the safest location and they placed bets on any buildings that had a lot of doors they were able to lock and didn't have a lot of windows. Others even hid in public bathrooms, choosing the stall that was reserved for the disabled and turning it into their own miniature bunker. Lights were turned off indoors if they were visible beyond curtains and sounds faded in the distance. The town came to a halt, as if someone had grabbed a remote and pressed pause. Soon, little sign of the living was seen except for a few that remained outdoors. Those were either utter fools or perhaps, if they were lucky they were smart enough to know what they were doing.
While the temperature experienced a strong drop along with the hope of survivors, other things seemed to rise. One of them was panic amongst the town's people now that the first zombies had been seen, the others were the bodies of those that had fallen or fought a losing battle. Eyes that had been deemed to be closed forever were now opening with all life sucked out of them, as if someone had placed a blurry filter over their iris. Movements were wooden and slow, no energy remaining in the flesh of the ones that slowly stood up from their resting place.
Those that had been bitten that very morning went from bad to worse, their fevers reaching a point of no return as they met their own demise. After that, they too opened their eyes and slowly stood up. More would come to stand as time progressed, rising over night and resurrected as walkers. None were left dead except for those that had bullets in their brain and those who's heads had been severed. Others walked and were doomed to live a life of walking until a weapon ended their sickening afterlife. Until then, they'd only have a single goal. Food, or more specifically the flesh of the fresh and the living.
The bodies of the deceased, some with bullets draining their vessels, stood in a collective army of undead that was spreaded over town and for a moment, neither of them moved besides tilting their head upwards and staring at the sky. For a minute it seemed like that was all they would do but soon, their heads snapped back to their usual position and they started walking, albeit slowly. Each one of them wandered around, some of them finding others and joining them as they formed small hordes before they proceeded to wander aimlessly.
Where the leader of the horde would walk, others would follow and while initially, most hordes consisted of no more than 4 or 5 zombies, they soon grew in numbers until a few of them had twenty if not more. It was a terrible and fright inducing sight that made it clear that Clarey town was lost. It wasn't safe anymore and people would best remain indoors. At least they would if they were aware of it, which most weren't yet... Only one thing was clear as the first newly turned attacked the living here and there: Those that weren't aware yet would soon learn. There was no chance of escaping now.

Grace Gibson
Once they'd all entered the building and the doors had closed behind them, Grace let out a sigh of relief. She didn't even attempt to hide it, the relief overwhelming her overall. As she proceeded to look at the ones she was with, she scanned everyone with her gaze to make sure none of them were injured. It was especially ripped clothes and possible bite marks that would get her attention, and if there were none she'd proceed to look at what each of them was carrying with them. She knew that her apartment still had resources, so did Jake's and she figured there would probably be more in the kitchen or the stock room.
In the safety of the dorms building, she also dared to check her phone again as she'd felt it vibrating in her pocket. It was then that she read the text from Talia, telling her not to worry and that Xena was with her. Talia would take care of her, she said and Grace trusted her educator. More relief came to her and for the first time in an hour, she finally felt like her heart wasn't hammering in her chest. Fingers darting over her keyboard, she thanked Talia and let her know she was at the dorms before moving to her inbox and opening the conversation with Sasha instead.
Talia is with Xena, Xena is safe and Talia will take care of her. The truck and I are back at the dorms, waiting for you.
She typed out, wanting to update her so that she wouldn't go after Xena anymore and put herself in more danger. Truth be told, she'd only be able to truly relax and breathe again once she saw her best friend and knew for sure she was safe.

Leah Young
"Where do we go from here?" Leah asked holding her arms.
She was shaking slightly; scared? Maybe or it could've been adrenaline finally leaving her system. Leah and them were just standing in awkward silence.
"Im Leah Young...i was a admitted as a Special Guest..." Leah muttered holding her knife and purse "i would....like..to know your names."
Klara Schulz
Klara’s entered the hall from the kitchen where she had gotten a water, trying to calm herself from the sight of the body. She looked up from the bottle to find more people on the floor, some with ripped clothes. “When did you all get here?” She asked quite confused, still unsure what was happening in the town.
Sasha Kingsley
She wasted no time but yelled for Grace, "GRACE! WHERE ARE YOU!" Her voice bounced off the walls, oddly making her think her Gunny would be proud of that particular yell as she walked further inside, her face desperate in her need to know if Grace was ok or not. How many of the others made it back, if the babies were ok, but Grace. She needed to see Grace before she could settle.
Robert Freelen
Taking a moment to look around, he didn't like that there were so many civvies, though his head was wrestling with his situation. Blinking and shaking it a bit, he growled softly under his breath, before walking past anyone who might be in the way. His head wasn't in the present, as he wrestled with his past and present hitting together. Taking a few deep breaths, he wandered off towards the TV room, before plopping on a couch and leaning back, closing his eyes to try to focus his mind and figure out where he was actually at.
Davinci Bjelke
Stepping inside, he took a look around, noticing someone coming from what looked like a kitchen. "Ah, food." He then walked over to the girl who had just walked out from there. "Sorry about the intrusion. This lady here, Sasha I think, is looking for her friend. I'm just looking for a little food and a place to crash for a few hours. The other guy is busy being an asshole. Tread carefully around him, I get the feeling the threats he makes aren't just for fun." Sadly, Dave didn't realize he was talking at a higher volume, given his headphones and music being on, so his voice was very well able to carry in the area, and he was more interested in the potential for food than he was in pissing someone off.
Jackie
Jackie stood inside the dorms nervously his hands messing with each other and his eyes on the ground staring down at Will. For a second he felt eyes sweep over him, making him tense. His sholders stiffening. Suddenly, one of the other women spoke wanting to know his name and for a second he stayed silent, trying remind himself what his name was. He was so tired, hungry and scared but he peeked around the bangs that stood in his face to look her in the eyes. He pointed to himself as his deep voice rang out toward her, "Jackie”, he pointed downward at his dog, "Will.” He turned his gaze away from her hoping he didn’t come off horribly. He wrapped his arms around himself becoming insecure and looked back at the ground. Will wagged his tail at the mention of his name, turning his attention toward Jackie in question. Jackie was uncomfortable with the suggestion and became worried but, shrugged at Will in response letting him do whatever he wanted. The dog came toward the Woman named Leah, carefully as not to scare her. Jackie watched Leah for and sudden moves to indicate a threat. The dog began to try and sniff the air around her careful not to touch her with his muzzle, He gazed up at her with friendly brown eyes sitting back on his butt staring at the woman. Jackie called him back muttering something incoherent as his emerald eyes turned back to the floor.
Leah Young
"Jackie.." Leah Whispered processing his name "and Will..."
Her voice was hushed and faint, she kept her eyes down and held herself tightly.
It wasnt until Will walked up to her that Leah stopped holding herself to a brief moment "woah~" Leah murmured in awe; impressed by how trained Jackie's companion was leah tried holding back a faint giggle but failed. The soft laugh escaped her lips and in response her face turned a bright red
"Apologies- this is no time to be laughing" Leah scolded herself trying her best to stay calm and collected but it was hard seeing the cute animal look up at her: she felt calmer just being around it.
"Its just...ive never seen one up so close before...i mean..not in a while that is." Leah tried explaining, nervously fiddling her thumbs.
Leah's father was terrified of dogs and well her mom was allergic to cats. Therefore growing up Leah hadn't had the chance to grow up with a pet; and that was ok, she was born in a busy household- outside from interviews with the press and attending social events Leah had no time to experience life as a "commoner" thats what her father called those who weren't in their tax bracket and later on thats how she called others who werent a celebrity like her
And to Leah that was more than enough. Being a Celebrity was enough
Grace Gibson
Grace listened to Leah as she introduced herself before looking over at Jackie so that he could do the same. She didn't quite expect for anyone else to come to the hall and as another woman showed up from the kitchen with a bottle of water.
"I went to pick them up from Sasha's truck, outside." She said when the woman asked when they'd gotten there. "So, about three minutes ago I'd say." She added to clarify that they hadn't been there long.
Grace didn't mind a new addition to the group for now as she wasn't even sure if everyone would even stick together. For all she knew, they could scatter throughout the building now that they were remotely safe. At the very least, she stood and listened to Jackie who now also named his dog for them and she looked closely as that dog made it's way to Leah to greet her.
"My name is Grace. I live here, at least during most of the year. Astrum is too far to travel back and forth every weekend. My apartment is on the third floor where I live together with Sa-" She started as she attempted her best to introduce herself.
Before she could even explain that she lived together with a roommate, that same roommate came barging into the building, yelling her name and looking for her. Leah's shoes, which Grace had held in her hand ever since she'd exited the vehicle were now given back to the girl and pressed into her hands before she turned away from the group and towards the sound of her best friend's voice. For a moment it appeared that she'd completely forgotten about the group's existence.
Upon seeing Sasha, tears formed into Grace's eyes and she ran to her, throwing her arms around Sasha's upper body and hugging her so tightly that she barely allowed her to breathe. That hug lasted minutes before she pulled back just enough to be able to get a decent look at her, which she did while placing both of her hands on Sasha's cheeks.
"Oh my god, you're okay. I'm so glad you're okay." She muttered through the tears, her gaze finishing the scan for injuries. Deep down, she'd known that Sasha would be fine and that she could deal with almost anything that life would throw at her. Still, she'd been worried and as she'd noticed the situation turning worse outside, she'd feared that her best friend wouldn't come back unharmed after all.
Two men came in right behind Sasha, one making his way to the entertainment area while the other immediately let himself into the kitchen. She furrowed her brows at them, but thought nothing more of it as these were weird times in which people would do weird things. Assuming that they were two other survivors that Sasha had ran into, she turned to the group she'd been standing with right before, where Leah was still enjoying the company of the dog.
"I found them and brought them inside. Xena should be here soon too." She said as she gestured towards the group. A soft sigh escaped her lips then and she allowed her head to hang as she remembered the one that had been left on the campus grounds. "The one with the sawn off shotgun didn't want to come. She insisted on finding Levin and I let her, for the sake of the babies. I really hope she's okay." She added.
Klara Schulz
“Take your headphones off your yelling.” Klara’s said to the man confronting him “kitchen is right behind me” she gestured to the doorway and walked over to the group that just came it. Grace, who had just introduced herself, after telling Klara what was going on went back to hug another one in the crowd. She scanned the crowd for injuries, seeing that some had tattered clothing and such. “If any of you need some bandages I think we might have them somewhere, probably to stock room.”
Sasha Kingsley
Sasha wrapped her arms around Grace, taking a deep breath as the girl just held on. For a few minutes, that is all that was there. Knowing her sister was ok, alive and safe. As Grace pulled back and touched Sasha's face, she grinned. "Darlin, I'm always ok. I'm good, not hurt. I was worried about you, because I don't know what the hell is going on out there. It sure as hell isn't safe now, for anyone to be out there." Sasha shifted slightly, putting an arm over Grace's shoulder as she took watched the men mosey into different areas before turning back to look at Grace. "The babies" Sasha asked, looking around. And nodded at the information about Xena, knowing that she would go get her soon if she didn't show up. "The shotgun woman is odd, but she seemed more concerned with Levin than anything else. She might have went to look for him." She lifted her eyes to the others in there, noticing the man with the dog, and another she didn't know right off. She could hear another unknown voice hollering in the kitchen, but didn't go over yet. First, she laid her bright green eyes back onto Grace, intensely looking her over. "You aren't hurt, are you?" She said, running a hand over her arm. "I didn't catch your name out there on the road, friend" Sasha said to the man with the dog, and nodded towards the female who was standing with him. "Mine is Sasha." Lifting a hand, she waved towards Dave and the other woman at the counter, in a greeting to avoid yelling more.
Robert Freelen
Bob had been about to say something to Dave, getting more irritated by the moment, when the screen had suddenly come on. The location seemed odd to him, though when the guy in the mask came on, it had his attention. He watched closely and listened, noticing each little detail as he watched, though he couldn't get a very good estimate of how long being in this building and the fact the video was taken from the air. Given no real background noise, he figured a drone. Taking a moment after the screen went blank, he debated on what he should do, before looking towards Sasha. He gave her a dead cold and serious expression, saying all he needed to say with that one look, before he slightly tilted his head and stood up, not saying a word to anyone as he suddenly ghosted out the door faster than his large size might say he could, and without a sound. If no one had been looking in his direction, he might have seemed to vanish from sight in this air, as he left and went into Forecon mode, heading towards the woods. He left only enough signs for someone of his class to follow, which is to say, almost none at all, before vanishing into the underbrush.
Davinci Bjelke
He blinked, before realizing what the woman was saying about his headphones, before he took them off. He'd completely forgotten that they were even on his ears. When the woman walked off, he went into the kitchen, before trying to be nice and not make a mess or use up all their food. As such, he just grabbed a few pieces of bread and made them into toast, before staying in the kitchen and munching on them. They weren't much, but they were enough to put something on his stomach, and he'd be able to get more once he got home to his shop.
Jackie
Jackies eyes wandered back upward as the woman called Grace started to introduce herself. He listened to her over share but, he didn’t mind. Jackie figured that if he didn’t have to try at conversation then it was win but, before Grace could continue, she was interrupted. It was the insanely reckless woman, the who’d owed the truck Jackie drove here. He watched them both reunite, and a small smile appeared on Jackies fuzzy face. Will also seemed to be moved by it as his tail thumped on the floor and his tongue stuck out of his mouth, panting. During this many people passed through and suddenly Jackie felt overwhelmed. Making friends was a challenge for the gentle giant as he usually felt that he was too awkward or maybe his size was the cause. He ran his hand through his thick hair suddenly anxious to move somehow. His green orbs dashed across the room once more before his attention was brought back the reckless woman. “Mine is Sasha”, she spoke. “Jackie and that’s Will”, he yawned the last part feeling exhaustion start to weigh in on him.
Leah Young
Leah looked around acknowledging that everyone was making their stay and beginning the phases of getting comfortable, and with that she decided she would make herself comfy as well.
Stretching Leah swiftly snapped her button of her halter top off with one hand while she held her shoes with the other
"Where is your nearest dressing room?" Leah asked Grace. Shimmying herself out of her dress.
Modesty wasnt something Leah had grasp, making quick changes in from of people was normal to her and if anyone were to chime in and say something to her she would look absolutely confused.
"Leah Young." She would say untying her hair and eventually dropping her shoes.
"Do your dressing rooms have a shower?"
Grace Gibson
Tears kept streaming down Grace's face as she was finally able to reuinite with the one that was like a sister to her. They hadn't been apart for more than 20 hours but it had felt like eternity, especially as she didn't know for sure whether or not Sasha would come back and be okay.
As Sasha gave her a once over to check for possible harm, she shook her head. "We came across three of them but they weren't able to touch me." She said, most of her clothes not even having been ripped apart as she was still wearing what she'd put on upon leaving her apartment. She felt lucky and glad that she was wearing flat shoes though, as heels would've been a total safety hazard out there.
Her attention was fully caught up by Sasha's return and the introductions of others. So much so that she didn't notice anything that was going on on television, even though her subconcious tried to tell her she was hearing The Void's voice. Instead, she turned to Klara and thanked her for the offer of bandages.
Of course Grace knew where they were kept and she had some in her own apartment too, but that didn't make her any less grateful and the offer was still appreciated.
As Leah sudddenly moved and started to take her dress off, Grace stared at her in shock. Widened eyes and a dropped jaw followed the girl's movements while she tried to process the question...
"Dressing... room? Ah, eh..." She brought out, not really understanding what the girl was on about. It then dawned on her that as she was well known if not famous, she probably did use such room regularly.
"Right ehm... We don't really have those here... but I know someone with a walk in closet as well as a three way mirror, a make up table and a shower in their apartment. Would that do?" She asked as she wasn't the kind of person to judge someone based on such things.
Klara Schulz
With no one needing medical attention. Klara felt somewhat at ease. “Then can I get anyone something to eat, one of you guys already went in there, I can smell toast.” She said gesturing back to the kitchen
Sasha Kingsley
Sasha's head had swiveled hard at the sound of the voice spouting through the TV, her eyes narrowing even more as she watched the scenes playing. Her arm hadn't left Grace's shoulder, but after the final word faded from the screen her hold had tightened on the smaller female. She watched as the one of the males that had come with her stood, turning to search and look directly at her. Without words, both knew what they needed to do. She gave a curt nod as he slipped out the door and she slipped the phone from her pocket.
" Hey, crazy woman. Head towards the campus, that would be college campus. I won't be here but I'll leave ya a way inside the dorms hiding outside. Shouldn't be to hard for you to find out where. I gotta go do something. Watch your back, shits getting worse." She texted one of her online friends who was heading towards Clarey. Putting the phone back in her pocket, she rubbed Grace's shoulder and turned her so the two could look at each other.
"Look darlin, I have to go back out there. The Void showed some.. scary shit. I need to know if what he said is true. Can you take everyone here upstairs and lock the third floor stairwell? I can shut off the elevator at the breaker box and find the extra keys to the door. But if... If anything that dude said is true, being down here sure as hell ain't a good idea." Sasha turned to look out one of the windows, her eyes hard as steel, the green having turned flinty after the video.
She raised her voice a bit, needing everyone to hear her. "Listen up y'all, idk which one of y'alls heard that report, but we gotta take it serious for now. I'm going out there to see if I can confirm or verify what was said, but until then the safest place is up on the third floor. Grace will take y'all up, get ya set up. I'd suggest taking more food, clothes... Whatever else might be in the store room." Turning again, she looked over at Dave
, "Can you make sure the stairwell doors get locked?" She asked, running a hand absently down Grace's hair.
She didn't wait for an answer, she slipped the extra key card of Grace's from her pocket and took off, leaving as quickly as she had come in. She slipped through the outside door, letting it slide shut behind before anyone had anytime to react.
Davinci Bjelke
Dave looked at Sasha for a moment, before shrugging. "Sure." He then headed up the stairs, without bothering to wait for anyone else. It hadn't occurred to him that he should wait for the others to get up there first, however, so he he stopped for a moment, on the landing to the second floor, as he waited rather impatiently for the others to come up as well.
Jackie
Jackie Listened to the read headed woman, it seemed he arrived at a chaotic time. He scooped Will into his arms, not bothering to wait for anyone else, he climbed the steps up to the 3rd floor. Whatever that woman had said, it was important. She seemed tense while talking with Grace, he decided he might buck up and ask her once everyone was safe upstairs. Jackie wasn’t about to question any of it. He climbed the steps, he could feel the things in his bag jiggling and stomach growled loudly, “Damn”, this time unbearably. He took his pack off and took out a granola bar. He gave half to Will hoping it would tied them over until he could find a heating source. He stood back up this time not bothering t carry Will as they both made their way up the last flight of stairs.
Leah Young
Leah thought for a moment then proceeded to ask grace about the rooms.
"It seems like everyone is getting situated. Shall we?"
She asked keeping a mental note of how everyone around her acted. It was a strange feeling being amongst the commoners; to be in immediate anger yet everyone was so willingly ready to help at a moments notice. No amount of money or power could help her in her situation.
Once inside the dorm with the shower Leah would look around scanning the area for things that she might need, like new clothes a hairbrush and others.
"Did you know this individual?" Leah asked untying her hair putting the rubber band in her purse alongside with her necklace and earrings.
"I wouldnt mind the company in the shower room. Although showering together i DO mind. " leah teased "i wouldnt want to be caught naked if a zombie were to..."
She paused and looked down she couldn't joke about something like that not after losing the girl with no name. Zombies were no myth and at any moment one could burst in and take her. Even though she had no idea what all Zombies could DO she knew that they drove people to suicide and tore others apart.
"My father would tell me that things could be used for more than what their description tells...with that said. While im showering...could you look around the room for anything like; vitamins, sunscreen, makeup toners and cleansers- witch hazel is a GOOD one! Serums, preferably vitamin c or b12, face wash or hand soap- dish soap works too! Perfume or shaving cream...theyre extremely flammable." After pausing for a breif moment leah then continued her list "If you go into the kitchen can you check for: salt, sea salt amazing but table salt works fine. Tea if any, and chips...im embarrassed to say, but im quite hungry...and a bit tired. After that the spare clothes in the dorm could be shredded up and used as cleaning devices or sanitary pads...or and i say this in kindness...although it is bound to happen especially with everyone. We could use the remaining clothes as alternative toilet paper...given how long we are to stay here for safety"
Leah let out a big breath then sighed "you got all that?"
Grace Gibson
Grace didn't expect for Sasha to pull away from her so quickly and now that she did and said she had to head back out there, every vessel of her body screamed no.
"The void? Sasha, no. Everything he said so far was true. Why would you question whatever he said this time? We need to assume he's right and stay right here." She argued. Deep down, she knew it would be no use but she had to try her best to stop her friend. And thus, she reached out in an attempt to stop her as she slipped out of her grasp.
The request of taking everyone to the third floor and getting them set up made her head hurt, and her heart felt squished as Sasha turned away from her. The tears of relief that had been in her eyes at their reunion now turned into burning tears of sorrow and despair and rolled down her cheeks rapidly. How could she do this to her? How could she put herself in danger once more and risk not coming back?
She fought hard to wipe the tears away and turned to Jackie, handing him the key to their apartment and telling him to go there. Then, she turned to Klara too, worry on her face.
"Take as many food as you can carry from the kitchen and follow Jackie. You can stay with us on the third floor, we'll be as safe as we possibly can be there. I'll follow soon." She said to her. At last she turned to Dave, giving him a soft nod.
"There's a key in a box on the wall on the third floor. You can use that to close the floor off. Don't worry about me, I'll get there and will get in without help. I have a way." She clarified, as she knew that Sasha had asked him to close off the floor and it'd be best to do so as soon as possible.
As Leah turned to her, she nodded again, her eyes and cheeks still puffy from the tears but now dry as she felt grateful for having something to focus on. She turned to the right and headed through the hallway with her, using the key under Talia's doormat to enter her apartment and closing the door behind the two of them.
The apartment itself was nothing short of a dream dressing room. While it held a similar layout to Jake's, it was covered in bright colors with a lot of pink and glitter. The bathroom and walk in closet were glamorous with glitter in it's flooring, epoxy shelves and bright spots. As they found the walk in shower with the rain shower head, Grace was about to leave Leah to it. That was until Leah started talking, and with her words she teased.
"I know Talia, yeah. She'll be here soon too." Grace said, her cheeks flushing a dark red as Leah said she wouldn't mind the company. Due to the near-invitation to stay in the bathroom, it took her a moment to recollect her thoughts and get her mind out of the gutter, which luckily happened once Leah clarified that she didn't mean showering together.
At the mention of a zombie, she shivered a little and started to focus on what Leah was asking her for. Turning her back to the girl, she opened cabinets to pull out the things she requested. Sunscreen, make up toners and cleaners were easily found. So were witch hazel and things like the face wash and hand soap. It took her a moment to find the serums and the vitamins, but after a few minutes she'd tracked those down as well, filling a bag with them.
"Seems like you have quite an excessive-" She started, figuring that most of what she was asking for was for the sake of her routine skin care. When she added that shaving cream and perfume were flammable, she frowned a bit.
"Flammable, you say?" She asked as she turned around, the realization of the girl being in the shower and very much naked only hitting her then. Letting go of the bag and keeping it on the counter, she quickly covered her eyes.
"Right, the kitchen. Sure." She said as she already made her way to the doorway of the bathroom. She listened closely to what she asked for, and once she was ready with the list she nodded in understanding. "Yes, I got it. Spare clothes will be something I won't take here as I don't think she'll appreciate me ripping them apart, but I'll take care of the other things." She replied, after which she bolted out of the bathroom and made her way to the kitchen.
There, she took a moment to lean on the counter for support and catch her breath, her heartbeat racing in her chest. As she took another bag and started filling it with sea salt, tea and chips as well as other food she could find, she shook her head a bit. This woman truly was something else...
Soon enough, the bag was filled and she waited outside of the bathroom for her to return so they could head upstairs to the others. Taking out her phone, she chose to send a quick text to Talia to let her know they'd taken stuff from her apartment and that she wanted her to join them on the third floor once she was back.
Klara Schulz
“Hey did anyone hear that?” Klara looked up, a faint scream echoed from upstairs, “it sounds like someone’s hurt or something, I’m not the only one right?” She looked around at the other people in the room with her. Hopping they too could hear it.

Davinci Bjelke
He looked at the redhead with a slightly confused expression, before shrugging. "I don't mind doing that, if got their asses moving instead of standing around twiddling their thumbs." He watched her walk away, before perking up a bit. "Great, sounds like the third floor might not be the greatest idea." Hefting his sledgehammer, he waited a bit more, grumbling.
Leah Young
When leah stepped out of the shower she felt refreshed for a brief moment but then filled with dread she had been concealing her feelings of worry from the messages of the Void and the silence from her father and Skylar.
Leah got dressed in whatever clothes fit and rushed out the bathroom
"Grace?" Leah called out a worried tone after stumbling around the hosue she let out a relived sigh when she found her in the kitchen.
"I hope you found everything ok. With everyone getting out an about someone is bound to get a cut and scrape here and there. With these im sure we will for sure disinfect and DEFINITELY leave no ugly scars if any."
Leah scanned over the items Grace had collected and left out if any
"Wow this is a LOT of good stuff. If you ever need a letter of recommendation for the beauty industry just let me know!" Leah joked trying to hide her puffy eyes and reddened nose
"Should we head back?"
Grace Gibson
When Leah was ready and came out of the bathroom, she triumphantly held up one of the bags for her to see. Allowing for her to look into it and see what she could find, she then proceeded to head back into the bathroom to grab the other bag as well. Two bags in hand, she nodded at her.
"I think that covers most, if not all that you asked for." She smiled, feeling grateful for having been able to accomplish what was requested of her. Deep down she was also grateful that Leah had been covered up once she'd left the bathroom. To her explanation, she nodded in understanding.
"No scars... that sounds like a relief to me even though I don't particularly look forward to getting cuts and scrapes. I guess that will be part of the new way of life though." She added. As she asked whether or not they'd head back after making the joke, a quick glance at Leah's face told Grace enough for her to know that she was really trying to hide how worried she truly was. In a way, she reminded her of what she'd been doing earlier that day, and if it hadn't been for getting to know James she probably would've still been crying.
"Yes, we can head back. I need to grab something next door but after that we can head upstairs with the others." She said, before she walked towards the apartment's front door and opened it to access the hallway. Provided that she followed, she'd then proceed to close and lock the door behind them.
Getting back into Jake's apartment was quick and she took out the necessities, mostly adding the food leftovers from the day before to her bags before she grabbed the backpack that James had given her in which she had some other gear tucked away. Within minutes, she found herself back outside of it and locked that door as well, tucking the two sets of keys into her pocket before making her way back to the others with Leah in tow.
She didn't know about the sounds they had heard from the third floor, leaving her quite surprised to find the both of them still standing there.
"We got everything we need from this floor. Ready to head up?" She asked, knowing that the stock room would still be there if they needed it. For now though, they'd be able to cover the group's necessities with the things they'd already gathered in the apartment in the past days.
Klara Schulz
“Go up? There was just a blood curdling scream and you want to go up?” Klara asked as if Grace was insane “We don’t know what’s up there!” She tried to not seem panicked all, but she failed to keep all but some out of her voice.
Davinci Bjelke
He looked out over the room. "Well, you can either come up and see if someone needs help, or you can stay down here and be an easy meal for the stuff outside. I'm going up." He then headed up the stairs, hefting his sledgehammer in both hands and looking to smash something if it came near him. He took each step one by one, however, not wishing to mistake a human for one of those things.

Timeskip of a few hours until the evening - DM Post
The small group of survivors decided to head upstairs after all, most of them encouraged by Dave's words. The prospect of whatever could be waiting for them above being far less scary than becoming the next meal of those that were outside.
Leslee entered the Dorms with the keycard that Sasha left behind, hearing the last words that Dave had spoken and deciding to follow the group along, although at a small distance.
With steady footsteps of professionals trained for the field, Enzo and Owen took in the sights of the Clarey Campus Grounds. At this point, fatigue and exhaustion plagued their minds and bodies. Rest was desperately needed at this point. A female not too far in the distance could be seen entering a structure.
Taking this a means of other survivors, both Enzo and Owen silently venture forth. Following standard hand signals they followed after another into the structure, discovering the gym. From their entry point they take in view potential exits and entrances as well as further points of exploration. They find their way into an entertainment room of sorts. Comfortable seating ranging from reasonable sized couches and beanbags. A sign or two gives way to ascending stairs for the second floor also nearby.
Lastly, Talia and Xena made their way into the building after having driven Talia's car from the coffee shop to the dorms. They enter the building then head to Talia's apartment, deciding to stay there over night to calm down after the situation they've been and the things they've seen
Enzo
Enzo walked in through the doors and took off his gas mask. Bags under his eyes were starting to form and he felt like shit. Enzo sat down and put his back to the wall closest to him, letting out a long sigh once he found him self relaxed. He was on the brink of passing out but tried not to ket him self fall asleep.
Owen
“There was a search and rescue mission in Afghan I was tasked with leading but a couple of years back. My team consisted of a few operatives such as myself, two of which were marines from over here.” Owen looked at Enzo while still standing. He put the safety on his MP5 on and kept his pistol out of its holster. “Some arms dealer responsible for a series of kidnappings and murders. Holed up in a building with five floors. One guy posted in front when we secured our own location across the street. Being in a leading position, I offered to take first watch and most of the shifts while the rest of the team slept. Really though...I knew something would occur should I let the next person take over. Through three shift changes I stayed in my position. And sure enough I noticed it. The guy in front never moved from his post either. I mean never even flinched. From where I watched, looked like he wasn’t even breathing. One shot from a silenced rifle and I knew the fucker put a dead body as a damn guard. Like a fucking scarecrow.” He reaches up for his own gas mask, but hesitates, and keeps it on. He pulls up a chair and puts it against a wall nearby Enzo. A means of watching all visible openings for the possible survivors to enter that they took note of. “That was the mission I learned to analyze all details accordingly and execute first. When we eventually stormed the building, the bastard was long gone. So once again, like then, I’ll take first watch. I can say without feeling bad, you look deader than the shit I’ve killed since landing. Count some sheep and rest up mate. I’ll let you know when it’s your turn.” He looked away from Enzo with both hands on his pistol, feeling slight mental fatigue from being awake. The fatigue on his legs from walking as much as he did now put at ease.
Enzo
“Thanks, if you need any medicine or anything, I got some in my backpack.” Enzo motioned to his back, barely lifting his arm from sheer soreness. Enzo out his head back and closed his eyes. The pain in his legs slowly drifting away as he dozed off. Until quiet. As he dreamt, memories of his fiancé started flowing through his head. On his face he shed some tears, clearing away some dirt.
Owen
Owen’s sleep deprived eyes went from the now slumbering Enzo to the entrance they came through. Water seemed ideal at the time. He went through what was in his canteen shortly after landing in the woods. Upon refilling at the river in the woods he had to stop himself, during that time he noticed the color was off even during the night. Contaminated and not worth risking his life. Since then he had no taken his mask off. The desire lingered even after watching Enzo do so and revealing his face. Still, he was unsure how this virus that turned people into walking corpses could be transmitted. Letting out an exhale he slowed his breathing and focused. There was movement in the building and possibly nearby. For both their sakes being the one on watch he had to make sure if anyone appeared they would keep their distance by any means. “Tick tock.” He whispered.

It had been a few hours since she had entered her apartment with Xena, and now that she had the girl sitting at her dinner table while she stood in the kitchen to prepare them something to eat, a small sigh was let out. She knew that it would be better for her to take her to Grace as she trusted Grace more, but she couldn't help but to want to make sure that the girl would eat and go to a last medical check before sending her up there. She wasn't quite sure how hectic it would be on the top floor of the building, and given that the door towards that floor was locked there had to be something going on that Talia wasn't aware of.
"Do you like mushrooms? Tomatoes? Carrots?" She asked, pulling some vegetables out of her fridge and deciding she'd do her best to make something between ratatouille and spaghetti, especially considering that she didn't have the exact ingredients for one of both in particular. While waiting for a response, she took the bottle of soda out of the fridge and carried it to her, placing it on the table so that she could refill her glass when she needed to.
"Yes im ready." Leah said looking at all the things gathered with a pleased smile "your friend...can you tell her to keep an eye out for my vehicle? I have something in my trunk that means the world to me..i-I cant lose it."

Xena
Although it was several hours ago, Xena was unable to get over the shock of everything that had happened. To her knowledge, strange creatures were still crawling the streets and it was completely unsafe to leave the building.
At the moment, she was sat on a chair in the kitchen in one of the dorms. Her left arm was tightly wrapped around her knees, bringing them closely to her chest. Her other arm rested on her knees and her delicate fingers brushing against the bandage that covered her wound whilst she replayed the most recent events. Her hair had once again fallen over her eyes, hiding her expressionless face. The reason why she currently showed no emotion was purely because she didn’t know what to feel. One second, she was enjoying her coffee whilst she read to escape reality, the next, she had fell over and managed to gain a minor injury; another embarrassing experience to add to her collection. Then this unknown woman came up to her, practically saving her from going insane. Without Talia, Xena would most likely be a zombie herself right now; or she would have fainted from the sight of blood coming from her head.
Another thing that she couldn’t help but wonder was, why Grace never came. As the female slowly rocked backwards and forwards in her chair, she thought about every single thing that could have kept her from coming. Was she held up by something? Did she find someone else that needed more help? Did she just forget? She would have preferred if she had just forgotten her so it would stop the wave of guilt she was feeling. The worst case scenario could be that she was already in a safe and secure place but got injured, or worse, whilst she was on her way to Xena. If that was true, she would never be able to forgive herself.
Rocking back and forth, she stared blankly as the soda in front of her, not even aware that it was there. Fear filled her body as she worried for her friend. “It is all my fault.” (C)
The words came out as a mumble as they weren’t intentionally supposed to be said out loud, however, her head then darted upwards to the sound of Talia’s voice. Truthfully, she didn’t feel like eating. Her stomach was filled with guilt and worry, there was no room for any mushrooms, tomatoes or even carrots. That even came as a surprise to the female herself, as she loved carrots. But all she did was shake her head gently. It looked effortless but it felt as if there were many weights placed in there, preventing her from even being able to lift her head up. “I’m not fussy, I’ll have anything.” She managed to form a brief smile in appreciation to the kind gesture, but it wouldn’t have been seen due to her face still being hidden behind her thick locks of brunette hair. Talia's expression changed into one of worry and her brows creased as she wondered what was up with the girl aside from the obvious. Of course the girl was worried about her safety, Talia was too and she couldn't blame her. While the head wound was taken care of for now, she was sure that it still hurt and felt very unpleasant and she understood the girl's inability to get comfortable. That said, she could've made the girl a lot of things with what she had in her apartment and the fact that she said she was not fussy made her wonder if it was said to be kind or to not have to make a choice with a full mind.
The brunette's face was hidden by her hair and Talia couldn't make any expression out so she let out a little sigh and grabbed her tajine out of a cupboard before placing it on the fire. If the girl wasn't fussy then she'd just use almost everything she had, which included the tomatoes and the carrots but also the mushrooms and some potatoes. She had no idea how much longer the power would hold out, and with everything pre-cut and stored in tupperware boxes in the fridge it wouldn't last long in case it went out.
For a moment, she was quiet as she started to prepare the food just like she always had, but as minutes ticked by and the first scents of food started to float throughout the kitchen, she turned to lean against the counter and cleared her throat, before speaking in a soft but firm tone.
"I'm not sure what you believe is your fault, but none of this is. Nobody saw this coming and none of us knew how to stop it from happening. All we can do is try our best to survive." She claimed, her fingers playing with some of the fabric of her clothes while she tried her best to not get closer and reach out to the girl. The last thing she wanted to do was startle her.

Xena
Humans are strange, it's true. They can do the most miraculous things but it appears completely normal to them. They can fall asleep, but their mind is still awake, dreaming. They can be awake, but their mind is completelt shut off. In some cases, their minds can wonder away, taking it's owner with it. That is sort of what is happening in this very situation. Xena, a girl confused and heartbroken, had her gaze fixed on the beautiful concoction of ingredients that would soon make a meal. However, her mind continued to trail off to the echoing sound of gunshots that pierced her eardrums. The ongoing reminder of the helpless screams that emerged from victimes constantly rang in her ear. Each sound replayed endlessly in her head, making her imagination even more real. You see, Xena was physically sat in a dorm, but she currently was back in the coffee shop, crouching cowardly behind the counter, clutching her minature wound. She was back at the scene, a scene that wasn't even dramatic, but each gunshot fired, each bellowing scream, it stayed with her. She was scared. Terrified, even. Her mind remained at the coffee shop, where she sat shivering in the corner. Talia wasn't there. Just a few bodies, lifelessly laying on the iced floor. The female pleaded to the gods to let her mind return to her body, but she was stuck. Stuck in the coffee shop. That was until a mouth watering aroma wafted through the air, settling underneath the bookworm's nose. One whif brought her straight back to reality, where she quickly grasped her head, preventing her newly formed headache from worsening. It was clear that Xena looked sad, but it stunned her how quickly Talia caught onto what she was thinking. The female slowly rose her head with a sigh. "If I didn't make that call, she could be safe. But now she could be in trouble. And it's my fault."
Sara
Sara pulled the boy over to what looked like a kitchen. She started going through things, hoping to at least make the three of them a sandwhich before anything else happened and they had to run. The kid had been mostly silent so far, but she knew she was starving. So even if he had a gun that it seemed like he knew how to use better than she did, she could make food. It's what she does.. did. It's what I did. She thought to herself as she started putting together a few things.

Enzo
Enzo at this point had been awake for a few hours, sleeping through all of the previous day. He felt guilty in a way, making Owen stay awake all this time just to watch Enzo slack off. He fixed the gas on the hip of his belt, and stretched his arms out, it would be a long day, he didn’t know what for, but had a gut feeling.
Owen
The former SAS specialist and current covert operator had left Enzo an hour prior to recover some nutrients in the form of whatever food had been available in the nearby kitchen. In terms of individuals he knew were present within the structure, he cared little for surviving citizens as they had little to offer in terms of intel. Sufficient intel anyhow. A female came into his vision. Probably one of the students. Owen does nothing to stay hidden. Just a clear as day all-black gas mask-wearing soldier looking guy standing in a kitchen and making direct face-to-face contact and looking at the female in silence. This was an acknowledgement. A silent one of course, that signified he was aware of her presence, and she should be aware of his, and nothing more until opportunities present themselves.
Owen goes back to supply searching, uncovering two water bottles for himself and Enzo. He takes the water bottles and calmly steps back into the prior room where the soldier he had stuck with was now awake. Approaching Enzo, he stands next to him and not facing him, his left side pointed to Enzo’s front with their position being perpendicular. Owen holds up the water bottle for Enzo to take. “I’m not making introductions, but there are survivors here. Doubt they’ll try anything, but if they do...I’ll handle it quietly.” He said at room volume before walking off to stand away so he could drink the water.
Elias
Elias panned around the entire entrance into the building as the others went off to wherever “Either we found the fucking jackpot or we just walked into a fucking trap...” He’d back step towards the kitchen as he rejoined the two “Any luck guys?” He’d walk into the kitchen and lower his rifle turning to face the two “Upside we might get lucky and find more survivors in here, chances are slim but hey a building with a card reader would present a challenge to those who don’t have the corresponding keycards, speaking of that though. If we find anymore we need to hold onto them for essentially dear life.” Elias shrugged as he stood there
Enzo
Enzo grabbed the bottle Owen offered and took a sip. “Better avoid them then just ignore them, I don’t exactly agree with what we were doing outside a few days ago” he said with a sigh. As someone new walked into the kitchen he remarked, “guess I failed to do so, if your looking for keycards I think just asking them first would be a good decision. They didn’t kill us while we were sleeping so there’s nothing against them at the moment.” Enzo took another sip of his water before he screwed the cap back on, “Hunnam, where to?”
Sasha Kingsley
It didn't take her long to make her way down to the stairs, each door slamming shut behind her but no longer locked because she hadn't heard any zombies inside the building. She stopped at the first floor, and looked around. She already had her pistol back in it's holster at her hip and the hunting knife in place on her belt. She thought she heard voices but didn't turn to look in the kitchen or towards the apartments down here before striding outside, the key card slipped into her back pocket.
Sara
Sara had froze as others showed up in the kitchen, her hand in the act of handing the food to the boy. A woman had come down the stairs but without actually looking around, the bright red of her hair was like a signal in Sara's mind. But the woman went outside just as quickly as she had come down. "Hey, that's the one I seen come inside her, she has a keycard." Sara said before she went silent and froze, because she could hear other voices around them, and pulled the boy and his food closer to her. She was clearly afraid but stood her ground because of the child. "I uh... I don't know what your talking about." She said, trying to sound meaner than she actually was.
Owen
The operative looked to Enzo and then back at the ones he had seen just now, the one with the child. A memory so faint surfaced and was gone as soon as it appeared in his head. Something...familiar. He looked to Enzo and shook his head. “These are your people here, soldier. Get acquainted, form some trust and make friends with this lot. They may need all the help they can get. My mission was never to make friends when i was deployed. I might have even compromised it by sticking with you.” A hand reaches out and rests on Enzo’s shoulder before it falls down and to his SMG. “I’ve rested. I’ve gained some nutrients. I need to continue onward alone for the time being. This campus...I need to get a better lay of the land. Til next time mate.” He picks up any supplies he left off his person, mainly his empty canteen and refilled it with water as he walked forth and out of the building. Upon exiting, he crouched and steadied his movements.
Elias
Elias spun around and watched as the woman walked outside. he’d adjust his rifle, shotgun and pistol and take off after her “You two stay here” He’d readjust his hood as he finally ran off after the woman as he turned on his heel “I’ll be back before ya know it!” He shouted at the two as in his eyes a new objective had been added to his work
Sal
(sal enters bottom floor) As Sal continues down and can hear soft footsteps and voices. He Stayed determined to not stir trouble for anyone right now so he stayed quiet, and made his way around , and noticed the kitchen. Could be some food left. He laid his had on the door handle when some thoughts came to him. That's probably where that big meal was made, so there might be people guarding it. This caused him to let go of the door and continue on his way. He tiptoed his way to the front door and saw a group of people. He however tried his best to sneak past them and stayed against the wall of the school.
Sara
Sara gripped the boys hand tighter, freaking from being around others. She stepped further away looking around and sees the fire door. Even if it took them upstairs away from the exit, she would run there if she had too. She cried out as Elias ran outside and left them alone, her mind totally freaking before she drags the boy with her up the stairs. And just kept going upstairs until there was no more stairs. She knelt down to his level and put a finger to her lips so he would stay quiet. She slowly pushes open the door on the third floor, #dorms-third-floor *
Enzo
Enzo gave a quick salute and ignored the statement from the civilian, “guess these are my people, and I’m not much of a people person” he mumbled. The sound of gunshots outside didn’t bring a care to mind. He grabbed his rifle from off a chair and looked at the staircase as a woman ran up them with a little boy. I have got to know what in the devils hell is going on in this place he thought to himself.
Owen
There was minor chaos in the building now. He wasn’t sure who else was really here except Enzo and the man with the rifle from earlier. He crossed his arms and let out a sigh, wondering how to approach the situation as he waited for Jolyne to follow through after him.
Hearing Jolyne being preoccupied with whoever approach, the lack of conflict leading to skirmish made it seem as though it were a harmless confrontation. After all, she seemed like she could handle herself. Owen being the operative he was, went into a form of recon. He still had little to no understanding of this town’s layout. A map would suffice in aiding his grasp of his surroundings were they to go rescue this woman. Walking through he came across some rooms. There was a door that had the title “Educator”. Similar to an administrator role, such a position has to have resources that he could use to his advantage. Owen attempts to open the door with the knob. Locked, of course. That would be too easy. Then his gloved hand gracefully traveled upward. Fingers pressing firmly against the material. A push door. Breach worthy.
Owen steps back and disarms himself of his MP5, placing it on the floor nearby. His holstered side arms are checked and ensured that the safety is on. The operative stands there, and only a deep calming breath his heard exhaled through the mask. Following this was a quick sharp inhale, before brisk and swift movements occurred consisting of Owen bringing his right leg up. The motion was a kick through the door, planting his boot just next to the door knob, just where it needed to be for breaching purposes.
Talia
A loud bang of shattering wood pushed it's way into her dreams and her eyes shot open. A curious but cautious glimpse was casted towards the door of her apartment. It was closed and at first glance, there didn't seem to be anyone inside with her.
A sigh of relief left her lips but it was short, her body unable to relax as she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Things were happening outside, and she wasn't sure that she wanted to find out what those things were.
Pushing herself up from the couch, she slipped her feet into her slippers before running her fingers through her hair and making her way towards the door. It were only a few steps she needed to take, but they felt like miles and the door stretched high above her like a fierce giant while fear held onto every vein in her body.
What if there were zombies by her door? She shivered at the thought and her shaking hand grabbed onto the umbrella that rested in the corner underneath her coat rack.
She took a deep breath as she prepared to pull open her door, unaware of the fact that the one of the apartment next to hers had just been opened by force.
Owen
A deep sigh emerged from him after picking his gun up, and he cautiously stepped through into the room. It was at his moment that Owen had to collect his thoughts. A change needed to occur. Comms were down. Identity compromised more or less. Territory unknown. He wasn’t just a special operative anymore. Though...he was still The Plague. First thing was first, removing the tactical gear. His shift in wardrobe kept the all black aspect as he was now wearing a hoodie rather than visible coveralls. The pants were flexible and dark, and fit well with his boots. Some skin between his gloves and the sleeve ends on his arms were visible, and revealed his ebony skin whenever he shifted too much while moving. All removed aspects of his clothing were folded and neatly set aside as he began to search the room.
Among some pamphlets and parchments of papers, Owen located a map folded neatly in the informational belongings. He unfolds it and finds a marker nearby. The marks he draws on the map detail his progress upon deployment, from the woods to this campus. He needed more input on where the kidnapper went, so he capped the marker until he reunited with Jolyne. He searches more and finds consumables, and a box of ammunition. 9mm bullets, ideal for his current guns. He replenishes the missing quantity in both weapons’ carrying clips and rips off a piece of bread, to which he stashes in his pocket.
Owen adjusts his gas mask as it was the last piece of equipment he put back on, finishing his urban attire. In this new world of walking dead, he had to adjust. Be it day or night, he had to be a shadow of imminent death. A reaper. Whoever this woman was that was kidnapped, he was going to get her back. He stands in the destroyed doorway, and folds the map into a small square that could be easily carried. “This guy’s got a rendezvous with death. Better be sure he doesn’t miss this rendezvous.” He says to himself.
The first floor of the dorms was reached faster than ever before and her eyes briefly scanned her surroundings. A few people she didn't know appeared to be standing in the hallway but she ignored them and turned right, heading for the kitchen instead.
Others seemed to have raided supplies even after her initial gathering of food and some leftovers were scattered on the floor. She passed by some spilled milk and shook her head her hands instead reaching for a bottle of water, some toast and a few bars of chocolate.
As she left the kitchen and closed the door behind her, her gaze fell upon the people that were standing by Jake's door. The last person she could see near them was Talia, who appeared to have just left her apartment as well.
Bringing her index finger to her lips, she hoped to silence Talia with the gesture as well as advise her to turn around and head back inside. She didn't know who these people were and didn't recognize them, but the attire they were dressed in managed to send shivers down her spine.
Even when she casted a final Glance at what used to be Jake's place while she could feel a sharp sting in her chest, she blinked away the tears and rushed through the front door of the dorms while attempting to dodge any hands or voices that reached out to her. If succesful, she'd still remain haunted by the ones inside her head which sang their song of sorrow.
Wiping away a single tear that escaped her eyes, she pushed open the door to the madness outside and set foot into the storm of blood with a single whisper.
"No use crying over spilled milk."

Owen
His footsteps weren’t too silent. He began folding the map he found and stashed it into his pocket. “Rescue op. And I don’t even know your name, love.” He shook his head and walks passed Jolyne and the individual she had been chatting it up with at the door to the dorms. The man inspects his gun whilst walking with a steady pace. “Jolyne. We’re heading out. Judging by the nearby locations there are other schools in the area. We approach the campus, recon to see what’s lurking about. Find the bastard and the woman, put a bullet between the eyes.” Owen puts his hood up and looks back at her, nodding before walking towards the main road.
Enzo
Enzo looked up as the lights flickered and eventually blew out, “fuck” he said as he looked out the window and saw the rising smoke. better go check and see if everyone’s ok he thought, this is my job after all. Enzo turned to the staircase as walked upstairs to check in on the survivors in the building.
