A small cough left one of the young twins veta carried with her as she approached a pharmacy in town, her sharp grey eyes were filled with worry and concern as she kept her rifle shouldered. The children were resting at her front wrapped up carefully in two light blue cloths that also looped up around her neck so her body and arms were free to move. The young mother felt the forehead of the child at the front and frowns in worry before she enters the pharmacy with her rifle folded up and tucked into the large coat she wore, hiding the weapon.
The eighteen year old student had left the dorms as soon as she could in order to get medicine ahead of time for the twins and for herself some painkillers as the scars on her ears were feeling more pained than normal.
Entering the pharmacy Veta would keep her weapon shouldered as she enters the falling apart building, sweeping it with the barrel of the .308 rifle before heading toward the back to try and find some medical supplies. She did her best to remain quiet but she also had to worry about not waking up the two children asleep across her front in the wrap.
She would get to the counter and climb over carefully before kneeling to start searching through bags. One of the little ones coughed a bit making veta extremely worried
Veta would sigh softly as she searched through several cabinets and even at some poimt smashing some glass with the stock of her rifle collecting medical supllies while she kept her children close and stopped after she broke the glass to calm them down as the twins panicked
Sasha Kingsley
Sasha kept the rifle lowered, the sound of the infant still sounding softly. "Shit," she said, ", where is it coming from?" She tossed her last load into the back of her truck and walked out into the middle of the street. She held the rifle strap tightly, so she could swing it back into her hands if she needed to. Looking back behind her, she assumed the crazy woman could hear her and said "I think it's coming from the pharmacy." Sasha walked slowly towards the front doors, making plenty of noise just in case. She didn't know for sure if the crazy chicka was following her or not, but she stepped into the building anyway and could clearly hear the grumbling of children clearly unhappy or not feeling well. "Hello?" She called out, keeping her hands away from the weapons she carried. "Anyone here?" A vibration from her back pocket had her reaching down to pull out her phone, and seeing the text from Grace, Sasha sighed with relief. Sending one back she said "All good, no worries. Why don't you stay on the first floor, that way, when I get back you can give me a hand?"

Veta hadnt heard the woman call out but her children her the voice and let out noises while moving a bit in their wrapping which was enough to make her aware of another presence. Slowlt grabbing her rifle she peaked from the counter looking at the other woman who had just entered, quickly popping up she shouldered the rifle calling out in a quiet shaking voice "f-freeze! Don't come any closer, d-drop any weapons you have!" She ordered

Footsteps echoed throughout the street and became louder as they got closer to the pharmacy. Screams mixed with the already present sounds, weaving through the cries of children and the loud noises that were made by the woman that tried to make a clear path of vision for the other with bad sight just in case she planned to follow.
More screams and shouts for help, each one more desperate than the last bounced from building to building. They clashed into walls and formed a path of terror that crashed through the street like a tsunami that hit the shore.
Two men became visible on the very end of the street. They were the sole cause of the screams that burst out of their mouths. They ran, slowly but as fast as they could as one was dragging one of his legs over the ground and the other did his best to support him. The sight wasn't pretty and enough to twist a stomach or two as they got closer. The man's leg was bend in unnatural ways, it's bone sticking right out of the flesh while the other's screams of fear were pierced by his own screams of pain.
They made it closer to the buildings in which the other civillians were, only being a quarter mile away when one of them collapsed on the ground and the other froze to check on him.
Sadessa Dawn
Noises.. so much noises. Screaming, but is it real? Crying, is it real? Am I real? Is any of this.. it hurts.. it hurts!!
Her vision waved, weaved and vibrated even more as the chaotic chorus of noises bounced off the buildings and walls. Two men in the distant, screaming and causing her vision to vibrate harder. "Ha! Ha... look at that!" Sadessa blurted, in a stage of dismay when she made out the broken leg of one of them. She saw a body collapsing into a heap, another checking on him. "Like a horse. Gotta put it out of its misery." She said, mostly to herself before she looked over to Sasha. "We kill? Or we help?" A smile then, staring at Sasha's distorted face.
Sasha Kingsley
Sasha shook her head at the crazy woman, talking softly. "For nowz we do nothing. Keeping a low profile right now is the best, I think." Sasha's hands were held up, visible to anyone inside the store as she stepped around a shelf. "My name is Sasha, I'm not going to hurt you. I can't put down my weapons, but you have kids... Let me help. We have a safe place, we have food, power, water.. let us help." Sasha said, her voice staying soft in an effort to gain the smallest amount of trust so she could help. "My truck is right out here. Come back with us, and I will go to the hospital and see if there is any doctors left to help your babies."
Veta Calh
Veta didn't hear the woman and only saw her hands as she was coming around the shelf, as Sasha spoke the younger girl before her watched her lips move reading her lips while keeping the rifle shouldered as she spoke back in a shaky voice "how can I trust you? You may just be like the last!" She said anxiously, not realizing how loud she was and her shape grey eyes shaking a bit with nerves
Sadessa Dawn
Sadessa's eyes looked off, nodding at Sasha's words. Her eyes flickered over to the wounded man, a sense of pity overcame her. But she was loyal to Sasha now, and whatever Sasha says, goes. She holstered her shotgun then lifted her hand and nub in the air like she just didnt care.
There was a smile plastered on her face, trying to look friendly but perhaps in this situation she looked like a maniac. As per usual, of course. "Listen to the red head! She dont know me but she saved my life! She will help you too!" Dess reassured the woman, doing a little dancy dance with her hand and nub above her head.
"Move, yo body girl. Makes the fellows go. The way you ride it girl, makes the fellas go oooo." She sang softly as she danced to a pretend beat.
Sasha Kingsley
Sasha merely shook her head as she watched the odd woman walk away, truly hoping that she would be alright. Curious if she would be seeing her again, however, she turned back to the other woman and kept her own voice soothing. "I'm not really like most anyone. Besides, you have babies. Let me help and I'll let you hold onto my rifle but not my pistol. You need a safe place for them and they sound Sicky. I make any move to threaten or do something that makes you think that, then you can shoot me." As soon as she said that though, she heard the big booming sounds of a shotgun echo down the empty street. Knowing that it was possible the troops double back, Sasha sprinted forward, crouching not far from the stranger. "Look, take the gun. Follow me to my truck. At least let me get you out of here." She said urgently, hissing the words at a whisper to avoid attention.
Sliding over to the door, Sasha pulls out the simple 9 on her hip and starts looking around outside. Not seeing anyone, she motions the other woman to soundlessly move up and points to her truck. "Run and don't stop. Get inside and hunker you and the babies down on the floor board. I'll be right behind you. Now MOVE!" Her last word was loud, as she stepped out into view of anyone who may be outside or around. She kept watch until she heard the truck door and sprinted towards it. With no effort, she jumped into the cab and the truck roared to life, grumbling harshly in the near silence. A quick smell of rubber burning and the truck was on the next block, coming to a halt just half way between the grocery store and texmex restraunt.

Veta has barely been able to keep up with what Sasha was saying, her grey eyes filled with confusion as she attempted to read the woman's lips and follow along. Sasha didn't make it any easier on her as she kept moving around making veta grow frustrated as she attempted to speak before she noticed the twins both jump and start to make a lot of movement/commotion when the shotgun blast went off. She didn't know what the hell was happening but the snippets she got from Sasha suggested medicine.. fuck she would have to take that chance.
As she saw Sasha running out shs following hoisting the bolt action up with her as she moved with her toward the truck, she didn't think twice about jumping into the truck once she saw a gap to, setting her children down carefully as she took note of her surroundings inside the truck and out. Should anyone else attempt to follow the truck as it sped off her rifle was shouldered ready to peak out the window
Sadessa Dawn
The dumpster flaps swung open, and out came Sadessa with a candy apple in one hand and a soda tucked underneath her arm. While Sasha was trying to talk to the threatening young woman, Dess decided to cha cha real smooth towards the dumpster to dumpster dive for some snickey snacks for the road. All of this craziness made a chunky girl hungry.
Sasha was shouting now, and immediately Sadessa clicked her tongue to clear her vision. She saw the woman carrying her babies towards sasha's truck then began to leg it towards the truck, shoving the candle apple from her mouth and throwing away the banana peel that found it's way in her top. She jumped onto the back of the truck just as Sasha was moving, nearly stumbling and losing her grip on the tail gate. With her one remaining hand she pulled herself up, then uncerimoniously flopped onto the bed of the truck. She pulled the half rotted candy apple from her mouth then looked down at her soda which she barely saved. "Whoa mama! I almost missed ma ride!" She said to the bottle of soda before she reached over, grabbed it them commence to trying to open it. Once she got it open, the shook up soda sprayed her in the face.

The two men in the distance were still struggling as one was trying to help the other up. It was little use as the leg of which the bone was sticking out was unable to support him. Still, his friend did his best to partially carrying him along and for a while they seemed to manage.
The one that carried his friend called out for the truck of survivors to stop, hoping that help would be offered to them. Sadly enough, his attempt was futile as even if the survivors would be willing to help, they wouldn't get a chance to.
On the horizon, a couple dozen feet behind the two of them, walkers were gathering from all sides and forming a big horde of at least 20. While numbers grew, they quickly seemed to progress through the street and towards the two friends. As slow as the zombies walked, the friends walked even slower and got more tired with every step. They were distracted too and panicked as they saw the zombies behind them, causing for the two of them to attempt to run but struggle to stay upright.
Within a minute, they both tripped and the zombies quickly caught up to them, the idea of a fresh meal being too appealing to risk losing track of them. They piled up on the two and started digging into them, making a bloody mess of their meal until they were surrounded by the zombies and hidden from sight. All that could be heard were the screams of demise and the grunting of the zombies and a few of them, particularly those on the sides of the pile continued to walk towards the truck, figuring that maybe they'd have a chance to get some fresh meat there instead.

Tonya
Tonya had crept back into Clarey mid-afternoon, her pack left behind on top of the roof of the grocery store where she figured she could sleep. However, she heard the rumbling of a truck and booked it back to that roof, a better place to keep an eye on things, she thought. She watched as a red head loaded things into her truck, others taking off with another box. A one handed woman wondered around, dancing? There seemed to be more, because she could hear babies cry and so did the red head. Tonya never announced herself, staying hidden on the grocery store. She knew someone was inside but she had blocked the roof access. It didn't take long though for her to hear more. The truck that had been parked at the hardware store quickly took off, tires giving off a high pitched whine as the rubber burned. Tonya kept watch through the scope of her rifle, more than a little surprised when she seen the truck come to a screeching halt half a block from where she herself was sitting. No way they know I'm here, she thought. She kept the weapon shouldered, though, watching. As dusk quickly fell over the town, the headlights glared on, spot lighting a man carrying a big ass dog and running. More
came out from the texmex place and Tonya shook her head, kind of amused at this. She didn't think any of them knew how many people were messing around in town right now, but she did. She had seen those go into the police station, as well. Even as she started to grin, the smile quickly fell from her face. Sheer shock took over as her scope showed her the people who were dead.. weren't dead. They ate the other men, moving slowly towards the rumbling truck as the red head tried to get the people around her to jump in. She quickly shifted and looked down from the roof to the road in front of her and bodies poured out of the store below her. She didn't know what to do. Should she stay put? Shaking her head, she knew she couldn't do that. She could hear the infants crying over the roaring of the truck and lifted her rifle to take aim. She only had five round clips, but wanted to be closer so she didn't miss. She grabbed her pack and gear and went running. She slid down the ladder in the back of the store and ran to the front, her long legs moving her easily. She couldn't talk, but banged on the hood of the red heads truck, pointing to the things shambling towards them. She pulled up Kate ((the rifle)) and started firing, bracing herself on the hood of the truck. Heads exploded as the boom of her gun joined the rumble of the truck. Five shots later, she dropped the clip and stuffed it into her bag. Pulling free another, she took the chance and jumped into the bed of the truck, reloading the gun as she did so. She ended up on her back, looking up into the smokey sky as she shoved her gear and pack beside her.
Sasha Kingsley
Sasha was a bit surprised when the man jumped into her truck, but she said nothing because she seen what he was running from. It didn't take her long to clue in on what was going on. "Son of a bitch…" she muttered as she slipped the pistol from her holster and moved to sit up on the driver side door, when a tall strange woman came running around one of the stores, banging on the truck, pointing to the people slowly making their way towards the noise. Sasha's eyes widened more, even as she braced her elbow on the roof of the truck and took out three from the grocery store door. The babies began crying loudly at this point, harsh terror bringing home a point to Sasha. She watched as five more heads exploded from the stranger before the bump and thump of her jumping into the truck made it clear it was time to go. But they were surrounded and having little choice, Sasha rolled up the windows of the truck and got out, closing the doors. At least these things won't get that babies, she thinks to herself as she to jumped into the back of the truck. She took aim and waited until they were closer, but even still, she checked her phone and cursed as she read the text from Grace, trying to figure out how to get back to campus.
Veta Calh
All the gunshots were upsetting the children more but veta wasn't able to hear any of it, she watched as people moved around and several of these men who were.. reanimated moving got closer to the truck. The banging and thumping from all the others only made the young mother's panic rise more but she steadied herself as she gave her children a kiss on the heads and moved outside of the truck after Sasha ans she moved to climb onto the top of the truck leaving the children to the safety of the metal vehicle while she prepared to fight. The way she scrambled up was practiced and clear she had partakes in some sort of climbing training. As she got atop of the truck she moved herself to face the bigger group of the horde surrounding the truck, taking a deep breath she lays flat on her belly and sets the large rifle up where she flicked the safety off.
Veta never shot this rifle much, mostly because of ammo expenses. One mag of this gun costs nearly fifty dollars and right now she only had the one mag of the large .50 caliber rifle. Waiting until she had clean line of sight of the undead group she aimed for center mass looking for a clump ans pulled the trigger. The force of the round nearly threw the small woman off the truck if she hasnt secured herself in proper form and any sort of dust on the vehicle would more than likely be thrown to the air from the sheet velocity of the anti material round. Whatever her round hit had her center mass shot been to form it would be thrown violently down with a large gaping hole blowing its body open and any number of others behind that zombie suffered the same fate from the large caliber rifle.
Elias Reaper
Reaper began to carefully and meticulously play his rifle at the undead hordes heads “Say cheese you gut whores.” He’d pull the trigger shooting the first zombie in the back of the head “One down whoever fucking knows how many to go” He’d move on to the next repeating this process in hopes of not catching the attention of the horde, He’d push his rifle for what seemed like an eternity grabbing one of his grenades from his vest and pulling its pin and throwing into the horde in hopes of thinning its ranks, as the grenade flew through the air and landing into the horde with a metallic “clink clank”, Reaper would make his way to one of the cars that sat in the road, climbing onto its roof he’d take aim again as the woman atop the truck with the rifle caught his eye “Now that’s some worthwhile fire power to get ahold of” He’d resume firing into the horde hoping to grab the woman on the roofs attention
Sadessa Dawn
Staying laid down in the bed of the truck, Sadessa stayed pretty much quiet as she munched on her half rotting candied apple. Things were stirring up, and the sensitive ears of the bounty hunter picked up on some odd noises. She sat up, her faded eyes were trying to decipher the warped figures in the distance.
Babies began crying, and the frequency distorted her vision even more. The figures looked rippled, like the were a reflection in a disturbed pool of water. Next thing she knew she felt the truck move. She turned her head, catching the sight of the mother from earlier climb onto the back of her truck.
She shook her head, the woman was warping as well. Then, BAM!! Sadessa's vision cleared, like the world was seen through brand new glasses. Her ears rang, oh the rang. That was one loud gun! But she was more focused than before thanks to it's ungodly firepower. Her milky eyes went back to the figures she tried to make out before. And with her nub she slammed the tail of the truck, "Well ha! More!" More of those creatures that had attacked her earlier.
With her remaining hand, she pulled out her DT-11 12 guage sawed off shotgun and from the ammo belt strapped to her upper torso she took some shells and loaded her gun. She stood up, propped her high heeled boot on the tailgate, pulled out a cigar from her back pocket, lit it with a zippo, put the zippo back into her back pocket then aimed her shotgun.
Once a zombie got close enough, she clicked her tongue to focus and then shot her first round. She cocked the gun again, and shot. "Yo, Pyro hair!" She called to Sasha, "If I knew we was finna have this much fun, sweet thang I would have bought you dinner first!" She cackled maniacally, shooting another zombie with pure glee.
Jackie Griffith
Jackie hugged Will into his side, signaling for him to stay close and out of the way. They both watched the strangers defend the truck, shooting, shouting and the cry of children ringing out over all the chaos. The smell of gun powder annoyed him for a moment as his ears rang from the blasts. Will buried his face into Jackie’s hip, the noise hurting his sensitive doggie ears. Jackie thought for a moment that he should help, after all they were kind of saving his and Will’s lives. He looked to the gun in his hand, he doubted it was loaded. He threw the firearm into his bag, deciding against it. He grabbed at a wooden bat inside his bookbag and decided to just hit whatever came to close. It wasn’t like he knew how to use a gun anyway; he was better just bashing them in with his blunt object. He hoped it was helping, it was all he could do without getting in the way of the guns. Not many walkers got all that close to the truck bed, so Jackie was just stuck covering for them when they reloaded. He’d admit he wasn’t doing much to help. He was more of a close combat kind of guy so nothing he did would make him look useful to this group. He wondered if this would negatively affect his chances of being see as useful. He hoped not
Davinci Bjelke
With how strong his headphones were, not to mention the volume of the music, he couldn't hear the gunfire, and only offhandedly noticed the crowd in the street and people milling about. He brushed it off as another college party, lost in his own little world. If anyone noticed him, he was a relatively tall guy, with pale skin, and long white hair that came just past his neck, currently pulled into a pony tail. He wore some faded blue jeans with a couple of scuffed areas and a hole just below his right knee, and a thin white tank top. He was heavily muscled, due to working so much in manual labor and his shop, and wore a large pair of black headphones with silver accents, covering both ears. He was sort of dancing as he walked, almost strutting in time with his music. Every now and then, he'd jump forward as a catchy part to a song came on, like he was performing a dance move in his own little world, and as he did this a couple of times, one of the zombies milling about would be in mid-lunge and simply run into the wall. He took no notice of this of course, and just continued his stroll. After a few moments, he saw a quarter on the sidewalk. "Ooo, shiny." He knelt down to pick it off, as a bullet whizzed past where he was standing and took out another of the dead. He stood up, smiling softly, before pocketing the quarter and continuing on his way. He had a bit of a conga line with a couple of zombies behind him, and he was completely oblivious to it all. He simply kept walking, heading to the Police Station.
Robert Freelen
Coming closer to the edge of town, the gunfire was starting to get to him. He got lost in his head for a moment, and careened into the edge of a fence, clipping it and catching him off guard, and sent him hurtling into a bush. He couldn't seem to shake the flashbacks though, and his emotions faded away almost instantly. He picked up any of his fallen weapons, before easing his bow from his shoulder. He made sure nothing was wrong with it, then nodded softly to himself, before nocking an arrow and staying inside the bush. He was now silent, though if anyone were to look into the bush and could see well enough, they might view a pair of silver eyes that seemed to catch the light slightly.

The smell that closed in on the truck amidst the street was rancid and foul. A mixture of iron and blood with decaying flesh made it feel like a slaughter house had lost electricity days before and dumped it's remaining slaughtered meat inside of clarey. Upon reaching people's noses, one smelling worse than the other but none of them having reached the rotten sent of pure decay yet, the smell was vomit inducing and it took a strong stomach to be able to stand it. Some of the zombies smelled rather alive as they'd only died less than an hour before, but those were lost in the scent of the bodies that had been laying around for days, some of them amidst the summer sun.
While zombies started falling around the truck and body parts were scattered by the sheer impact of a single grenade thrown amidst one of the groups, more zombies exited buildings and surrounding streets as they made their stumbling way towards the source of the noise. Most of what attracted them was the explosion, but the loud weapon on top of the truck itself didn't go unnoticed either and caused for the group to proceed moving closer. Those of the hordes that had been walking on the edges were sometimes attracted by other survivors, like the one that had snuck past and made his way towards the police station. The majority of them didn't lose track though and went for the five course meal that sat waiting for them around the truck, unwilling to lose it's target out of sight.
Hungry and angry groans were released into the air and mixed with the smell as they proceeded to walk, one falling here and there as they were hit in the head. A few were utterly blown apart by the force of the deaf woman's weapon and crawled further on the floor as a dismembered body while everything from the waist down remained where they got hit.
Out of the initial two hordes, only half of the zombies remained and if one were naive then they would start believing that the living were winning for now. Sadly enough, those that were smart enough to see could tell that the zombies were growing in numbers as more gathered to come to the noise and now slowly formed a circle around the truck. In total, there were about 63 zombies that found themselves amidst the street. That group consisted of those that were still standing and those that had left the streets and the gym as well as other buildings. A few that were closing in on the truck reached for it, grabbing onto anything they could get a hold of, regardless of it were a body part of the living or material of the truck itself.
In the far distance, further down the street more of these horrid creatures were on the move. They were far enough to not be a worry yet but they closed in on each other and slowly formed a third and huge horde, or now that the first two had become one it would be considered a second. With any minute they needed to get through the circle that surrounded them, that horde would move closer and the very sight of it would urge the survivors to hurry up, telling the smartest of them that they wouldn't make it if that horde were to get close enough.
Screams filled the air as the horde in the distance made it's way forward and ripped through any survivors that they came across. Meanwhile, more loose zombies made their way to the same location, a group of them coming from the direction of the college as well as the sounds of the weapons and the grenade had reached that far.
Tonya
Tonya had popped back up into the bed of the truck, the rifle laid against her shoulder as she watched the things get closer and closer to them. The shot gun rang out loudly, the echoing mixing into the sounds of other shots as she took quick aim, hoping to make the bullets count as much as possible. She shook her head, figuring that this is where she was going to end after all. She knew others had gotten into the back of the truck, but paid no attention to most of them. She could hear the different guns being shot, the sounds booming from the much larger one and then a quick boom from somewhere else but she couldn't see from where. All she could do is hope they would make... Oh no, she thought, more are coming. She stood up and looked around. She shook her head, knowing she didn't have the ammo for this and took the two steps to tap on the red heads shoulder, again pointing all around them.
Sasha Kingsley
She felt the tap on her shoulder as she removed her second clip for the pistol. Stuffing it into her back pocket, she popped the third and last one in. Turning her head, she turned to look at what the stranger was pointing towards and Sasha's heart dropped. More and more kept heading their way, the sounds of the guns and explosion from the grenade causing more than enough noise to draw more company. Scrubbing her hands over her face, she reached out to lightly touch the mother with her hand to get her attention, holding her palms up to show no bad intention. "Get back in the truck." Sasha said, loud enough to everyone around her. "Y'all have to head back to campus. Here's my key card. Go to the dorms and hide out. I'll come find you." She said, turning back to the crazy woman and the stranger. "I'm going to draw them off the truck. The babies.." she didn't finish the sentence but instead nodded. She took a hold of the rifle, getting the attention of the man standing on the ground with the bat. "Hey! Get back in the truck. Y'all gotta head back to the campus." She hoped everyone understood before she closed her eyes for a brief moment. Opening them, who she uses to be had taken over. Flat blank eyes and an empty face stood there now. Cocking the rifle, she nodded once to those in the bed of the truck. "Back to campus, to the dorms. Use the key card and get inside. I'll come find you." Her final words before she jumped from the back of the truck, and took off, barreling against the bodies of the walking dead, creating enough noise and enough of an easy meal that many of those turned and began shambling towards her.
Their slow and ponderous steps making it fairly easy to dodge between them, for now and make it to the other side of the first horde. "GET OUTTA HERE!" She yelled to the truck, and turned away. Hitting cars with the butt of the rifle to create noise, pulling the zombies further away from the truck, giving everyone a chance to pile inside and take off. Sasha took off running towards the far side of the street, still using the rifle like a bat, hitting cars as she passed. The quickly growing hordes slowly took up behind her, the growling over taking the sounds of her breath which grew slowly labored as she kept moving further away from the truck.
DM NOTE
((DM note: The sound she produces would be enough to lure most of the hordes away. About 25 zombies remain around the truck and the truck is likely to handle running most of them over even as some will try to get to the survivors to the best of their ability))
Veta Calh
Veta didn't hear any of the orders but she felt the wave of the boom that the grenade left, her focus pulled out of the scope as she starts to rack the bolt and caught the empty shell that she tucked into her pocket. She looked ahead at the hordes forming feeling worry build up before they all seemed to be pulled away by something else making her watch them go just to see Sasha running away drawing fire. Not wanting to waste the opportunity she climbed into the truck quickly
Elias Reaper
Elias watched as Zombies chased the woman who was running past him as he quickly reloaded his rifle “RUN YOU LUNATIC RUN! He’d begin to pick off the stragglers of the horde that was chasing her but would quickly turn back towards the truck and in rapid succession shooting several more as he motioned to whoever was inside the truck “GET IT MOVIN AND GO!” He’d shoot a few more zombies to clear the path up more. He’d then take out one of his breaching charges and place it atop the car he was on and he would then remove his left hand glove and pull a small knife out of his boot and cutting a large enough cut that would draw blood. He’d smear the blood on the charge to emit a good strong scent “CMON GOD DAMNIT!” He’d throw his rifle back over his shoulder as he would jump up and grab onto the awning that sat overhead and would slowly shimmy his way up the awning to the small edge of the building’s architecture and use this to pull himself up towards the edge of the building’s roof and climb up onto the roof peeking over and motioning for the truck to go before the charge blew
Jackie Griffith
Jackie launched his bat into another walking corpse, sending it to the ground. Will stuck
behind him, sometimes growling if one of the zombies got too close to his backside, they worked together quite well. The gun shots in their ears were not as loud anymore, making Wills cues helpful in their survival. They both worked on empty stomachs, still
not having the opportunity to hunker down and chow. Jackie almost didn't feel like eating anymore, the smell of the dead and seeing all the gross insides of the flesh eaters made him want to barf. HIs eyes watered at the stench but he tried his best to ignore
something trivial. All he needed to think about was the next head to cave in. His boot stomped on the ground as his arms swung his bat into rotten heads, caving them in with forceful blows. He was interrupted by the redhead woman, she shouted directions to
everyone making him hurriedly make his way to the truck. He scooped Will up in one arm as he kicked dead heads down with his boot, swinging his bat wherever needed. He was stopped just as he was about to reach the door, his hood caught by one of the zombies.
It was hard to know when they were coming when his back up was in his arms. It’s rotten teeth chewed on air as Jackie hurriedly shouldered off one sleeve and whacked its head in, covering his already bloody clothing with a few splatters of red. Jackie hurriedly
threw the truck door open and shoved Will and himself inside. He stood at the door, defending it, for anyone else trying to make their way toward him.
Robert Freelen
Bob watched for a few moments, debating on if he wanted to waste the time dealing with civvies, or if he should just focus on the enemy. Then he noticed a few others, one giving orders and another seemingly doing something with a car. The scent of death didn't bother him as much, having dealt with similar smells overseas in war, not to mention when he went behind enemy lines for intel and had to see all the remains of tortured soldiers and civilians. Taking in each detail, he surveyed the area, his eyes first landing on a woman running and shouting, then another that seemed to be getting attacked by one of the things. Standing suddenly, he drew his bow to cheek, aimed at the creature, then judged the distance to be about two football fields away. He felt the wind and judged the direction, before aiming three seconds later and letting the arrow fly, seemingly fired into the sky at a weird angle. After a moment though, the arrow caught the wind and changed direction in an arc, before aiming true. If the male stayed put, the arrow would take the zombie creature through the head with enough force to lodge the head into the ground along with the arrow. But Bob was already moving. He dropped low and skirted the boundaries of the large crowd that seemed to be following the woman. He took aim with a second arrow, before firing into the crowd, taking three of the creatures in the head with a single arrow flight. The advantage to his bow's draw strength was it could put an arrow through half-inch steel, and he was aiming very carefully so as not to hit the woman. As he continue his skirting sprint, he would fire at the ones who got closest to her, keeping them off her and seeing what she was doing. He needed answers, and he had a feeling she might know more about this than some random person on the street.

Soon enough the path was cleared around the vehicle, allowing them to get through without too many issues aside from five or six zombies that they had to run over. For the most part, the horde that had been surrounding the truck had followed the woman that made the most noise and only those that had been close enough to it to smell the survivors had remained. They were focused on their victims, still wishing to have a nice and easy meal. While following Sasha for one seemed easy enough due to her allowing them to track her without effort, some of them refused to be lured and hoped that they'd get the survivors near the truck. After all, those weren't really running away from them and losing time by getting in the truck so if they tried, maybe they'd be able to take a bite.
At the sight of the youngling with the dog in his arms causing for one of their companions to meet it's demise, a few of them seemed to zoom in on him and make their way towards their new target. They made it to the truck just as Jackie opened the door and lurched for him, not realizing that the man would be ready to defend himself and those inside the truck.
On the other side of the truck where the babies were, one of the zombies launched itself at the door with all it's might, trying to get through the window and reach for the woman and her children. It was a saddening and futile attempt as all he did was knock himself out, but it left a lot of his blood on the window itself.
Further down the road, the smell of fresh blood managed to lure more zombies in. Although, in all honesty, the shouting of the man did it more than anything and the smell of the blood was what caused them to linger. Zombie following zombie, a small horde of twenty formed around the car and desperately searched for the survivor they could smell, unaware that their target had since reached higher grounds.
The growing horde that had been heading towards the group of survivors on the streets had found a new target too, following the bright red haired woman as well as they could. They had their attention on her and only her, which made them an easy target as another shot them from behind. Thinning out the back of the horde, the front kept moving and growing one by one as the last of the zombies reached the group and followed it, aiming to corner the red haired woman if they could so that they could enjoy her soft flesh.
Further towards the texmex restaurant, no zombies remained but a single one that was ran over by the car of the woman that had gotten into her vehicle. The bag, which had been given to her by the friendly restaurant owner, got casted aside and thrown in Jason's direction before she took off at full speed and headed outside town, which caused for the single zombie's head to explode on the street from the weight of a tire that crushed it's head.
Elias Reaper
Reaper stood atop the roof as he watched and waiting for the truck to drive away Come on you fools, drive away... He’d lean over the roofs edge and fired down at the small horde gathered around the car “Need to find a way out of here and something a little more structurally sound..” He’d begin checking his magazines and weapons as he looked towards the neighboring buildings
Jackie Griffith
Jackie slammed truck door shut and sat down catching his breath. It seemed no one else was going to make their way to the truck, well except the woman and the babes. Jackie climbed over the seats, his giant frame squeezing passed the passenger's seat and him bumping his head on the roof of the truck, “Owie”, he whimpered. He crashed into the driver's seat with his foot stuck in-between the chair and the console. “Frikin”, Jackie whispered in annoyance, “Seriously?”, he questioned himself. Jackie felt a bit embarrassed now, he secretly hoped the woman wouldn’t be mad with these stupid antics at such a serious time. He pulled his foot upward trying to get unstuck but, he couldn’t manage it. He groaned a little bit and finally slid his foot from its stuck position. Will groaned in a seemingly annoyed manner, his big ears sloping downward like he was disappointed. Jackie turned his attention the steering wheel, starting the car and took off. Jackie sighed as he turned to the woman awkwardly, “You uhh, you hungry?”
Jason Ripley
Running from the restaurant, he has blood covering his face and clothes. He watches as a giant of a man takes the driver's seat and drives away. Looking down the road, a crowd of groaning people approach him. Slowly they get closer.
"Jesus..." He speaks before deciding to do something stupid.
He runs into the pharmacy, calling out for someone.
"Hey, what is going on?!" he shouts all the whole searching for a hiding place just in case.
The groaning gets louder as he continues to desperately search for help, or a hiding place, or even an emergency exit.
He heads deeper into the building, making more noise as his boots fall heavily on the floor. Jason makes his way to an employee break room, closes the door, and waits; not paying any attention to who or what could be in his hiding room.
DM Post
The vehicle that had the blood smeared on it's window was now surrounded by enough zombies to nearly tilt it over. They clawed onto it and used their body weight to pull it onto two wheels while they desperately searched for the origin of the blood scent, utterly oblivious to the man that stood on top of the roof. The more they tried to get deeper into the vehicle to look for it, the more weight they pulled on one side and soon, the vehicle would flip over.
As the truck door was slammed shut, two zombies crashed their head against it while a third got his arm slammed between the door and the rest of the vehicle, which caused of it to let out a piercing screech before the door closed completely and pulled the survivors out of their reach. They attempted to do something similar to the others and pulled on the vehicle as well, but as there were still zombies on the other side too and they were low in numbers compared to the horde that had surrounded the other car, there was no use to it.
As the car was started and took off, a few of them were dragged along with it for about 20 feet before they were forced to let go and fell onto the floor, being a grumbling mess.
The one that headed into the building was followed by a small group of zombies until those zombies heard a loud crash coming from outside and with their attention turned to the noise the horde outside made by flipping the car, they changed directions and left the guy alone. As he made his way further into the building and made even more noise before reaching the break room and closing the door, the room seemed eerily quiet and the groaning faded while the last zombies left the building.
If the man were to listen closely, it would appear that only his own breathing could be heard until he focused more, in which case he'd hear a second and fast paced although quiet sound coming from the other side of the room. Someone was breathing there too, and they either seemed frustrated or... scared.
Tonya
This strange woman made no noises as she watches the truck drive away, having jumped out of it before hand. She shook her head, watching the red head make herself a target for others. A concept that she personally doesn't understand. However, she thought she had seen someone run into the pharmacy, so she headed over there to go inside, her rifle held up just in case. She moved slowly, having slipped around the group of zombies by the car they turned over. As she cleared each section of the store, she came up towards the back of the store and a closed door.
She checked the knob and it turned slowly and silently. The six foot tall female would be outlined by the flickering and broken lights above. She lowered the muzzle of her rifle, using one hand to ask if anyone was hurt, the ASL smoothl and steady.
Sasha Kingsley
Her bright green eyes showed relieve as she finally watched the truck leave, knowing that at least one of them understood and would get the babies inside somewhere safe. She kept making noise, yelling and using the guns as a means to making more noise. Even she had seen one man run into the pharmacy and the stranger woman follow him. But Sasha knew she wouldn't be able to get to them, so she did the best she could and kept the attention of as many of the creatures as possible. Somehow, she thought, I've got to get back to campus. She heard a quick twang that could only have come from an arrow and quickly ducked down below a car to look around. She could only spare a few seconds, but was able to spot someone following, aiming at the zombies. Taking that as meaning that whoever it was, wasn't aiming at her, she got back up and moved back out into the middle of the road, trying to get another block or more between them and the pharmacy.
Veta Cahl
Veta looked over at Jackie when he got the vehicle started and took off, the rocking of the vehicle had made her tense up as she kept a tight hold on the two babies keeping them close to protect them if anything were to happen, she had her eyes shut tightly until she felt the rocking of the vehicle stop and looked up at Jackie, blinking a few times as she saw his lips move but didn't get to read what he said. "I..I can't hear you" she spoke in very broken english. "Deaf." She said finally to tell him her issue, as of now the two children against her chest began to cry in fear from the events which the woman was trying to sooth

Elias made his way across the roof as he spotted at ladder and made his way to it, He’d hastily make his way down the ladder back to ground level as he took notice to the sign next to the building “Pharmacy employee parking only”. His sighed as he walked towards the back door and slowly opened it as he poked his head and his rifle inside “Hello?” He could swore he watched someone go inside the pharmacy earlier, He’d turn his light on as he pulled the door open and slowly made his way inside “Maybe I find a working car and get to that campus they were shouting about...” He’d make it through the stockroom as he waited at the door as he heard movement on the other side
Jackie Griffith
Jackie’s green orbs widened in surprise as he uttered an apology. “Wait no, you can't hear me”, he blurted almost immediately. Jackie focused his eyes on the road once more. He didn’t know any sign language or anything, hell he could barely communicate with his own mouth. He turned his face from the stranger a little embarrassed. His eyebrows furrowed in frustration with himself. He turned back and smiled at her apologetically and quickly turned his head away again. He shushed his mind and got back to his driving. He was still stiff with his awkwardness and tried to distract himself as he hummed a super dumb song and After a moment his mind began to wander, and he relaxed into his seat a bit more. The shake of the truck from where his feet met the pedals as his eyes wandering off a little bit to the passing surroundings stuck behind the glass. It reminded him of his countless adventures on the road. His butt in a passenger seat with his large bare feet on the dash. His bittersweet smile turned to a look of concern almost immediately. He was knocked out of his distraction by the cries of the small babies and he threw a concerned and awkward glance at the woman. He wondered if there was something he could do. Will also seemed a bit concerned as he poked his big pink nose in the front, sniffing at the woman's arms. His head lowering but, careful not to get too close to the babes.
Robert Freelen
After firing a few more shots into the crowd of zombies, he was getting a bit low on arrows. Swearing inwardly inside his head, he stopped and crouched, waiting to see how the horde would react. he noticed the woman was outpacing the group, and seemed to run off towards the police station. Nodding once to himself, he faded back into the darkness, silent as death, before fading from the area as well. Once in the shadows, he stealthily made his way towards the area where she seemed to be running towards.
Jason Ripley
Looking up, his hand on a revolver in the bag. The woman towers over him. He could swear he heard her speak.
"Who are you?! " he quickly asks stepping back to give himself room to move.
He slowly pulls the revolver out seeing her own weapon.
"What's going on?!" He impatiently asks.

The hiding spot suddenly didn't seem very safe anymore and with two people that had entered the room, the breathing of what was in the corner picked up and became heavier. Anxiety rushed through the body and if the two others were to see the panic in his eyes, they'd surely realize that he was another survivor. Of course, as things were, they weren't able to see him and he hid in the back, where he had attempted to cover himself by lowering the tablecloth on the table and placing chairs around him. He'd also done so to be able to protect himself against zombies, although he obviously hadn't considered that he would've trapped himself as a perfect meal.
Luckily for him, the two that had entered appeared to be very much alive too but as he didn't know whether he could trust either of them and they pulled their weapons, he didn't dare to take the risk of speaking up. Instead, he smothered the sound of his breathing by covering his mouth and nose with his hand to the best of his ability. His tiny hand falling short, a low and soft whistle could be heard as the breaths he exhaled escaped through his fingers. It was a dead giveaway and all he could hope for was that neither of the two were paying attention to him.
Meanwhile, the truck made it's way through the streets and towards the edge of the town. Passing by a zombie here and there, they eventually reached the town's college campus unharmed. There too were zombies, although much less than there had been in the center of the town. Here, the screams that had filled the air were slowly becoming few and far in between, most survivors either having gotten away or died by now. There were also bodies here and there, some of zombies and some of those that had been living minutes before. Overall though, it seemed calm. At the very least, much calmer than the place they came from. The truck turned onto the campus grounds and made it's way on there slowly, coming to a halt near the school buildings.
Tonya
Tonya made no move to do more than enter the supply room, lowering the rifle as she noticed it was a living human who was waving about another gun. He was moving it to fast for her to see what kind it was but held up one hand in a sign of relax, attempting to tell him no danger. She heard movements not in front of her and she swiveled quickly, dropping down to one knee and shouldered the rifle again, watching at a light filtered through the dusty air. She used the light on her gun to flash it twice, enough to get a living persons attention but hopefully not enough to call attention to them from the walking dead.
Elias Reaper
Reaper flashed his light twice in return the flash from the opposite side of the door “Let’s make a deal alright? You put that gun down and I’ll walk out and put my down, Sound fair? He would slowly round the door as he brought his rifle down to his side Let’s descale this and we can all be friends ok? He’d turn to the one waving the revolver around Hey hey put that six shooter down before we attract unwanted attention ok? He’d slowly take his hands off his rifle as it dangled at his side from its sling We can work together and find ourselves some form of transportation and get to that college I heard them people talking about back there, Safety in numbers and all that jazz ya know.

The one that was still hiding in the corner had so far managed to remain unseen. Still, he felt rather uncomfortable about the situation and shifted positions in his spot, his arms wrapping around his knees and his head resting against them to make himself as small as possible.
Maybe it was fair to assume that they wouldn't hurt him and that they weren't as scary as they seemed to be, but all the gun talk begged him to reconsider and he didn't particularly dare to take the risk. Because of that, he remained where he was and stayed as quiet as possible while trying to get his breathing under control.
Tonya
Tonya didn't answer the man, for obvious reasons. Rather she pointed to the other man on the floor with his gun, before using hand signals for silence. She had heard something behind her, but it seemed something small. The black of her hair was still kept tightly off her face as her swept the darkened corners of the supply room. She heard the softest rustle of fabric moving, and the thick slow heartbeats. She slid her rifle along her back, holding out one hand towards the dark, and the other behind her, seriously hoping the two men would get the picture and stay shut up. She pulled free a small flashlight and used it to highlight the small fellow hiding very well behind them. Tonya wasn't even sure she would have found him, had he not moved. She sat on the floor and held out a hand to him, the other she tapped to her mouth, an attempt to show that she wasn't able to talk.
Elias Reaper
Reaper rested his hand on his sidearm as he watched the movie motion at the darkness in the room “If there’s someone there, You can come out, We’re peaceful for the most part.” He kept his hand on his sidearm as he just watched “We need to find a damn vehicle or something that way we can find out where this “campus” place is that everyone’s talking about. He’d make air quotations on the word “campus” as he looked around the room. He’d take notice to the fact that the woman was a mute “Oh swell, there goes the possibility of directions.”
DM Post
He should've stayed put. He shouldn't have moved. His thoughts were racing and so was his heartbeat now that he'd been discovered. A shiver ran through his spine and as the woman tried to reach out and highlighted him, he visibly flinched and tried to make himself even smaller. The movements of the woman were something he closely followed, noticing how she tapped her mouth while holding out a hand to him. While she was sitting on the floor, she didn't seem as scary as she had before. That didn't change the fact that they had guns though, and maybe they'd see him as a burden.
He was about to reach out in return by moving one of his arms towards her when the male spoke up, his voice sharp amidst the silence. It caused for him to retract his arm and wish to disappear. Of course he didn't sound mean or threatening per sé, he just hadn't been addressed by anyone in a while and the man was more intimidating than she had been at the moment. At the word campus, he perked up a little. He did know where that was, maybe he could help them? If he helped them, they were less likely to hurt him right?
"O-Okay..." a shaky, rather high pitched voice said back. It was a single word that felt heavily loaded and layered, fear and sadness weaved throughout it. Slowly he stood up from the floor and pushed one of the chairs away so that he could move freely and get out of his hiding spot. It also revealed his actual length, which wasn't high at all as he stood at only 4'5". He was dressed in an oversized t-shirt and pyjama pants and had socks as well as fluffy slippers covering his feet. Wherever he'd come from, he'd been ready for bed or sleeping before he left that location.
"P-Please don't hurt me.." The voice added while he came closer to the others, which was when they'd probably be able to make out the young facial features, complete lack of facial hair and small limbs. The brown haired boy with matching brown eyes appeared to be no older than nine.
Tonya
Tonya gestured sharply to the man, the hand signal a clear "step back" from the mute woman. She didn't know children very well, but she knew this one was scared, but had perked up at the mention of the campus. Same place the red headed woman had talked about Tonya thought to herself, before standing up. She reached into her bag and pulled out a pen and pad of paper. Tearing a piece off, she handed it to the man. The red head went back to the campus, or said it would be safe there. I can help find a car for you to take the kids to her. The other woman had babies, maybe she can take care of him Tonya had wrote quickly in scrawled out letters. She knew she wouldn't leave the kid behind, but she knew that sooner or later, the night was gonna end. And at least if they were in a car, the doors would keep those things off of them.
DM Post

Elias Reaper
Reaper stuck his thumb up as he took a step back “We need to get a move on then, Get out of flesh junkie central” He’d begin looking around for anything he could use as a weapon to spare ammunition “Besides something else might show up or more of those damn things could come storming in. I have done nothing but move and fight, move and fight for god knows how long, if there is somewhere out there that is remotely safe then by fucking god we need to get moving” He’d walk toward the front of the pharmacy as a wooden pole and a few pairs of scissors caught his eye “Instant Axe”
DM Post
He slowly made his way towards the woman, even if he was still being very careful. Feeling that she meant well, he didn't immediately worry about her hurting him. No, he thought that even if the other did try to hurt him she might be the one to protect him. Maybe that was naive, but he wasn't quick to trust and something about the way she interacted with him, even if she was mute made him feel safe. With her at least, as he couldn't say the same for the man.
His going on and on about things showing up and storming in caused for the boy to shiver and widen his eyes in fear. He'd seen those things, too many of them and while he was scared of the strangers, he was more scared of them. The language the man used reminded him of his drunk uncle, and as he cussed the boy ran to the woman, half-pushing himself against her for protection.
He watched closely as the man made his way to the front of the pharmacy and spoke about an axe. That was something the boy wasn't too familiar with, aside from the fact that his father used it to cut wood. Why would someone need an axe? Weren't the guns scary enough?

Reaper took the pole and wedged the scissors into it with nothing but sheer force “Let’s go you two, We’re killing time” He took the other few pairs of scissors and done the same thing on the opposite side as he then placed one of the pairs on the top of his hand and began wrapping cloth around it to hold it tightly and firmly on his hand “Hey kid think you could use a knife?” He’d remove the large D guard Bowie knife from its sheath and held it out to the child

When the scary man urged for them to go, he moved towards him. For some reason, he didn't really dare to say no to the man out of fear of angering him. He had no idea what the man would do to him if he were to get angry, and his parents had always told him to give in when someone was acting scary. There were less chances of getting hurt that way, they'd said.
The knife that was held out to him caused for him to back up, nearly tripping over his own feet while he stared at it wide-eyed. "K-knife?" He asked, as the size of the thing nearly made for a good small sword on him. Still, he didn't dare to protest but instead started nodding rapidly. The movement was charged by sheer anxiety and to some, it might even look like he was filled with excitement. Still though, the hand that carefully reached out to accept the knife was trembling with fear.
Tonya
Tonya places a hand on the boys shoulder in an effort to reassure him, and nodded at the man. She pointed towards the back door, indicting she had seen a decent car out that way. She moved a bit and pulled out a large skinning knife, holding it firmly in her right hand as she took lead. Turning to look back at the other, she jerked her head towards behind the boy, wanting him to stay in the back. Little did either of them know that Tonya knew where a car was, less than a block away, that held keys and worked just fine. Leaving the pharmacy, assuming the others followed her she stayed against the buildings as cover as best she could.
Elias Reaper
Reaper stayed only a few feet from the woman as they continued onwards. He kept the makeshift axe tight in his hand as he motioned for the child to stay at a steady pace while they moved “Hey kid, I never did ask you, How long have ya been hiding out in there?” Hed ask the child as he glared over his shoulder “Plus we find this car we can get to that campus.. college whatever that lady was yammerin about and get ourselves a nice bed and probably a decent meal...”
DM Post
The boy couldn't help but want to stay close to her as she took lead, having noted the large skinning knife. At the weapon, he widened his eyes and stared between the both of them, not understanding why people were just simply carrying around weapons. They didn't seem like the kind of weapon you just had in your house,to him so he wondered why anyone would have them.
As he was forced to stay in the back, his expression fell and he let out a tiny sniff, trying to keep himself from crying while the scary man spoke to him.
"Long..." The kid answered, not really knowing how much time had went by, hours, probably, so he went with that even though it felt like days. "Hours, I think...."
As he explained what they were going to do, he nodded in understanding. Those things did sound good, even though he had both of those at home. Home was no place he wanted to return to though, not after what happened.
"Cereal?" He asked, remembering his box of cookie monster cereal that he'd had to abandon on a kitchen shelf.

The three of them made their way to Tonya's car, where Tonya handed them the keys and send them off to the campus. She herself made her way to the woods instead, while the other two got into the car even if the boy started to doubt going with the scary man on his own. They drove off in the direction of the campus, the boy knowing the way and helping Elias out.
