Neon lights flashed through the water, reflecting back and forth The kaleidoscope of colors refracting and creating its own mix of unique colors bouncing off the bottom of the pond that stood in the middle of the Clarey Campus grounds. Banking the pond is the three school buildings for chemistry, biology and medicine. It doesn’t seem as though there would be anything to hide from here, however, below the pond and ranging underneath of the buildings was something that had remained hidden from most of the students for some time. Most that had attended this college in the past had no idea it was there, but an old basement linked the three buildings with the pond, in the form of a basement. An extremely large room, mostly empty, was found by a couple of chem students who were skipping class. They were just walking around in the lower floor of their building, and ended up in the cleaning supply room. After a few minutes, they found a door behind one of the shelves and found the door that led down to the cobwebbed and dank huge basement. Upon entering, they could see nothing because of how dark it was in there, considering the bulbs seem busted out of the light fixtures.
Over the course of several weeks, the word spread among the younger students of it and they ended up working together to put it together. Basically creating a dance/drinking area on campus. Students from many differents areas of study helped put it together, wood workers building platform, stages and setting up tables and bathroom stalls. Plumbers working out how to do bathrooms, water lines for bars and sinks. Those who worked with wires set up the bright flashing lights all around the room, spotlights facing the raised dancing platforms and highlighting the full stage area. Speakers, wires, and computers experts finished setting up the D.J. booth, and somehow or another, another group of older students worked out how to setup sound proofing, so they wouldn’t get busted by the staff or Mario. One enterprising student even worked out how to set up a place to put coats and jackets, between the men and womens restrooms.
Another went about turning the lights up in the pond, making them brighter to help cover anything that bled through from the party area. And as many hands as went into making this, others offered up different nights to be a bartender, or the DJ on any given night, changing off so that everyone got the chance to party.
