What if...
...The virus was never discovered and never spread?
...The zombies never showed up and there were no warnings about zombies?
...The schoolyear at Clarey college started without a problem?
...It was just an ordinary day in September?

Would you have done things differently? Would your character make different connections? Have you ever wondered about these things?

For all your non-canon fun and to figure out what would've happened to your character if the zombies never came, we made this channel.

Before we begin, a few ground rules:
- Characters that aren't part of the current roleplay are allowed.
- Characters that are part of the current roleplay are allowed too.
- Characters that are used here do not require a posted bio in this server.
- Whatever happens in this channel isn't canon and does not affect anything.
- Respect and consent are still things, rules of the server still apply.

This is a real-time roleplay area with a hop in/hop out setting. If you can't post in the following hour, please say so between brackets so that other characters don't interact with yours. Feel free to state what we can assume your character is doing.

Please keep in mind that due to this area being reserved for real-time roleplay this channel has no posting order and people can post, come and go as they please.

Most of all have fun. If any questions or issues arise, tag me in the ooc area or ask a mod or admin for help.

Current setting: Clarey-café

Clarey Café is a mixture of a coffee shop and a bar. Open 24/7, people tend to come here from the early morning hours to get a fresh cup of coffee. In the afternoon, they tend to come sit and relax on one of the couches with a cup of coffee or a cup of tea and some delicious treats such as freshly baked apple pie, cake or other desserts. The menu has two sides, one being focused on the things that get ordered most during the day while the other side focuses on what's ordered most in the late evening and night hours.

In the evening and at night, people can drink some cocktails or beers here. Hard liquor isn't really offered but appetizers are and it's possible to order a plate of chicken nuggets or spring rolls with some sauce. There isn't an option to have dinner but many people do come here with friends or business partners to enjoy the bite sized snacks and welcoming and warm atmosphere.

They also allow for people to take their coffee to go, although many prefer to take a seat there and enjoy their beverage within the café itself. It is owned by a young couple that lives above the café but there's staff working there too.

During most of the day, some soft Jazz music is being played in the café. Later at night, there's sometimes live music on the piano. Every now and then, the owners have a karaoke night or choose to perform, both of them being excellent singers.

Amélie

It was still early in the evening when Amélie pushed open the door of the café. She was early too, having about ten minutes left before her shift started. Sure enough, her boss would appreciate that as she'd shown up late multiple times lately and while she knew that he was going soft on her by letting her stay, she wanted to do better if she could.

A happy smile was shown to them when customers looked up and waved, and she made her way past the tables that had a few of the regulars sitting at them to head through a wooden door with a small, round window in it. A small sign stating "employees only" made it clear that guests weren't allowed back there.

Minutes later she returned, now wearing a purple shirt with the cafe's logo and her name on it as well as a black apron with pockets that she'd wrapped around her waist. Starting to tie her long brown hair into a high ponytail, she later proceeded to rearrange her bangs before making her way behind the bar, ready to take any orders.

Leah Young

"One Americano with steamed milk and one black coffee for this boring grump." Leah said nudging her elbow into Skylar's ribs playfully.

The tall blonde looked unamused but upon looking at his companion's smile he couldnt help but crack a smile.

"I havent seen you here before. You new?" Skylar asked Amélie

Amélie

Amélie smiled at the girl and her friend when they reached the bar, her smile widening into a genuine one as she heard the girl's teasing.

"Coming right up, Miss." She said in a voice that sounded far from the usual customer service voice she used. It wasn't sure whether that came due to her shift that had just started, or the fact that she actually wanted to be nice to them this time.

She turned away from the bar, making them the two coffees that she had requested and placing them on small plates before she turned back and placed them on the bartop. To the boy's question, Amélie shook her head and laughed sheepishly.

"Ha, no I'm afraid not. But if you've come here a lot around this hour then I usually wasn't here due to showing up late." She half-joked, shrugging a little while her brown eyes had their signature sparks in them that occured whenever her cheeks showed their dimples.

"One Americano with steamed milk and one black coffee as requested." She said, placing a handful of skittles and a cookie on the first's plate and a handful of sour candies on the other.

Leah Young

"Tis a shame. Id come here more often if that were the case." Skylar said sweetly, he placed a folded twenty on the counter "GOD Sky! Youre such a horndog!!!" Leah whined her face was a bright red from embarrassment

"you dont mind do you?" Leah asked pointing at the cookie

Amélie

At the boy's comment, she couldn't help but to laugh wholeheartedly, her laughter seemingly filling the room as she pretended to be touched by the comment. Her hands reached for her cheeks and her voice got a bit of a higher pitch in her next words.

"Oh my gosh, aren't you adorable!" She exclaimed, as if he'd just said the sweetest thing she'd ever heard. She then dropped the pitch of her voice to the usual one before she continued. "In all seriousness, I want to say that I do prefer the sweet version of you over the grump but that I'm very much gay. If either of you, I'd do her. No offense." She added with a smirk before taking the money and putting it in the register to be able to hand him the 15 dollars of change.

"I do appreciate the compliment, though." She said as she handed him the money

Leah Young

"Youre mom is gonna kill you when she finds out youre hitting on college girls" leah whispered in a snicker "youre the one to talk your mom is gonna kill you when she finds out how many calories that cookie has" Skylar remarked pushing the fifteen back into Amélie's hand

"Gay? Hmm ive lost yet another beauty." Skylar said in a dramatic tone slowly sipping his coffee "leah here is too shy to experiment with anyone-" before Skylar could finish his sentence a cookie was shoved into his mouth by an extremely embarrassed leah "im so sorry for him! He just doesnt know when to stop talking!!!" Leah's voice was squeaking to all hell
"Not to intrude but when do you get off? We would love to have some company. I believe we were invited to a frat party but we barely know our way around campus."

Amélie

She snickered as the teasing between the two of them continued and as Skylar pushed the fifteen back into her hand, her eyes widened. It was too big of a tip to accept and she was about to protest, but before she could even open her mouth he was speaking again.

She listened to his dramatic tone and smiled, her smile widening into a cheeky one as he mentioned how the girl was too shy to experiment with anyone. He was quickly stopped by her though, and she chuckled again at the sight of the cookie being shoved into his mouth.

The squeakyness in her voice was downright adorable and she had to do her best to not stare at the girl as she apologized for him. Shaking her head, she reached into the cookie box to take more cookies for her and placed a few of them on the plate. She was adding others to the boy's plate as she was asked when her shift would end.

"Honestly, I just started and my boss would skin me alive if I were to leave right now. That being said..." She started, taking one of the cookies off of the girl's plate and grabbing a marker before writing her digit's on the wrapper. "...I might be able to get off early and if not then I might come by later."

As she gently placed the cookie in the girl's hand, she took out one of the café's menus that people were allowed to take for free and turned it over, handing it to her and showing her the map that was on there.

"Easiest way to get there is not crossing campus. Instead, you want to head around it and take this route." She explained, drawing the route on the map with the marker before circling a few houses close to the back of the campus, which seemed to have no road leading directly towards the campus as most went back and forth by foot to be able to take the shortcut through the forest.

Leah Young

Leah just looked at the paper while nibbling on the cookie "bring a friend- the more the merrier~" leah chimed before scanning the map once more in awe "how to not get lost...." She whispered to Skylar before reaching in her purse to grab a twenty

"Youre a saint!!!" Leah said happily before leaving the twenty on the table and taking the map "i hope we can see you later~"

Amélie

As the girl suggested she'd bring a friend, her mind wandered and went through her internal friendlist before settling on one of which she knew it'd be a good match. That friend happened to like blonds and she was straight too. Her smile remained and she nodded.

"I'll try my best." She decided, knowing that it wouldn't be too hard to convince her to come along.

As the girl scanned the map, she slid it a bit closer to her.

"They're free." She added, waving away the twenty and tucking it back into her hand. The tip he'd given her had already been too much and she'd feel bad over accepting any more.

"I'll see you two later." She said when the two prepared to leave. With a bit of luck her aunt would let her go sooner than her shift ended, but if she didn't she'd go after her shift. She had a feeling that the party would end way later.

Once she saw the two of them heading out, she turned on her heels and headed into the kitchen, her cheerful greeting already telling said aunt enough when it came to what she was up to.
