First off, having at least a passing familiarity with Spring Awakening would be helpful. Not
required, per se, but helpful. It's really good anyway, so look it up if you don't know it.
Canon characters may be embellished, of course. If you think your character plays a certain instrument or has an interest in art or something, feel free to work that in! They're people and they would have interests.
It's up to the player what happens to the characters, for the most part. There are a couple of exceptions, however. The rp plot starts a little bit before the plot of the musical. Eventually, there will be deaths. If you choose a character that dies in the show (spoiler alert, people die in the show), they will die in the rp, eventually. But that's quite a way down the line, and their spirits remain, if nothing else, right?
The rest of the rules are pretty standard:
- Be nice to each other, and if not nice, then at least civil
- IC doesn't equal OOC. Sometimes characters are jerks, don't take it personally.
- Don't godmod
- Please fade to black if there is sex happening; most of the characters are minors. Some making out or whatever is cool but nothing beyond that.
- Trigger warnings are nice and good and if someone asks you to warn for something, please do so
- There isn't an activity requirement, but if you have to be gone for a while, please let us know
- You can app two characters at present. This may change in the future, it may not. If you have a canon character and need to drop the game, no hard feelings, just give a heads-up about it. This goes for OCs too, of course, especially if they have a plot going, but canons will need to be replaced.
The rules are subject to change, but the players will be told if that happens.
