  • BlOOD-ECHOES; Shaman's Addition
    Just as the Zykla can manifest their Bloodforce, So too can they maintain and manipulate its shape. This Ether, this Glittering Mist may be drawn to dance upon the Zykla's palm in every ghostly shape its caster should need to conjure. Be it for entertainment or illustration of their own myths and legends, this skill will be common to all Zykla though their echos are motionless.

    This ability is rarely mastered to the equal of their Shamans. Transformed by practiced hands, Blood-echos becomes a visual art as entire scenery are made living manifest at the Shaman caster's will with armies of animated puppets to flesh out Zykla history.

    BLOOD DIVINATION;Oracle Specialization
    Zykla's unique connection with Blood has granted them a myriad of abilities one of which being an obscure form of foresight when focused through their rituals. Not unlike their means of harvest, Divination demands the caster fill a bowl or similar vessel with a sacrifice of blood and muse over its surface rather than draw Bloodforce from it. From this Sanguine surface, images or feelings may be drawn out, though they are rarely clean cut in their meaning. Where interpretations are useful, hard information may be taken from Divination blood once it is consumed and allowed to flow within the Zykla's body. While unpleasant, consumption will grant deeper connection to the sight and clarity by the effect. Though the process is not dangerous, this more intense interaction with Sight will leave a Zykla's body sickened and their mind fatigued, as though poisoned. It is for this reason that Most divination is kept strictly to the bowl unless incentivized.

    DREAM WALKING
    It is within dreams that we can become truly free. Guardians and guides, Oracles are perceived as having loosened their tether to the terrestrial world. Able to parlay with spirits of all kinds, glimpse the world behind the veil and speak on behalf of the Gods. This is all done with two goals in mind. Serving the will of the gods and the plights of their kin. One such method is through the art of dream walking. Through ritual, an oracle may enter the sleeping state of another Zykla be they in the same room or across a distance so long as they have something from them. A hair, trinket or a piece of clothing can provide a sympathetic link with which to travel. Young practitioners can merely watch or implant subtle messages to their kin. As the ability grows, they can carry on conversations or interact with the sleeping Zykla and their dream world more directly, invoking calm or terror when the ability is completely mastered. However, this takes a heavy toll and many Oracles will gorge themselves on Bloodforce before attempting it as each moment within the dream will slowly drain it away. It also carries the risk of becoming “lost”. To the uninitiated, the dream-scape can become a cage from which she cannot escape. Locked until the dreamer wakes.
  • STAR READING
    The stars are our venerable ancestors. By watching them we can glean wisdom. Star reading is a technical skill learned by Shamans in the same way as scarification or tattooing is learned by oracles. By studying the stars above, a shaman can keep watch for important events on the horizon such as, the longest night or day, coming eclipses and changes in the seasons (long winters/harsh summers). This helps to keep the Zykla community as informed as possible of the world around them. No particular tools are used, an apprentice will typically learn to star gaze from their mentor and commit the shapes, constellations and fluctuation to their memories.

    FERAL PROJECTIONS
    Matter over mind. Projections are limited by both memory and distance. No spirit may safely dwell beyond the protection of their caster's mind... Unless freed of sentient form. At risk to their own sanity, Zykla Shamans and Oracles may descend their Projections to a feral state allowing them to move fluidly along the terrain and well beyond their scope of memory. While dangerous and costly, this sacrifice can vastly extend a projection's agency or even allow such simple yelps to pass vital warnings between distant groups.
    Beware the Vile - Fellow Zykla, even our corrupted Kin can trace a projection to the caster. The costs of this art can and will leave the body vulnerable to Parasites at best and Predators at worst.

    Will-o-Wisps
    An active ability that is taught specifically to Oracles of Solis and Luna. The user can manifest flames/globes of their Bloodforce typically in their colors. These flames/orbs can lull and entrance a target, ensnaring the gaze and making them more compliant or put them to sleep. Simple actions such as "follow" or "sleep" can be taken but it cannot be used to have a target kill or hurt another. Far more effective on those of weaker will or impaired states.
