  • Creation Myth

Centuries ago the world was created by the three sisters. Ethereal and depicted as three different species: Sudrosi, Vinri, and Pemixi. The ancient Sudrosi sister lovingly created the country of Sudros, giving them the sun and the gift of harvest. The sister Vinri gave life to the Vinri people, and gave Sudros the moon and the gift of sea life. The sister Pemixi blessed Sudros with the wind, and magic. The three sisters took care of the people of Sudros, blessing them with new gifts during each new festival.

The Sisters, now known as the Goddesses, began to pull back their reign when the Sons joined the Sisters. The Sons brought gifts of fire, wisdom, alcohol, and fear. The Sisters didn't agree with the gifts the Sons brought to the people. They begun to argue, and the argument lasted for decades. Their fighting split the land, creating mountains, ravines, rivers, and cliffs until they decided to move their fighting elsewhere to protect the people of Sudros.

The Sisters and Sons retreated deep beneath the earth and hid away, unseen and unheard from for years until the first volcano erupted from the largest mountain. The people of Sudros lived in fear of the Gods and Goddesses fighting, in fear of the next eruption and the shifting of the earth beneath them. Earthquakes rattled their lives and made them adapt to their new way of life. After a few centuries the fighting of the Gods and Goddesses has quieted and there hasn't been a volcanic eruption or earthquake in a long while.

Sudrosi will pray to the Gods and Goddesses for help with a good harvest, good health, safe travels, and so on and so forth. Sudrosi of the current age don't refer to them as the Sisters or Sons anymore as that legend has long passed. Temples and statues of these original Sisters and Sons can be found in various locations around Sudros, however most are crumbled and covered in vegetation.
  • Holidays

    Tsemûnte (spring festival)
This is a festival of renewal, rejoicing and fertility. Pemixi is hailed as the spring Goddess, bringing the blessing of magic to the people of Sudros. Tsemûnte feast marks the beginning of the summer half of the year. One of the main traditions is to light large bonfires, and for the younger people to collect greens and branches from the woods at twilight, which were used to adorn the houses of the village.
