Sudrosi

Sudrosi are taller than the average human male. Male Sudrosi have heights ranging from 6' to 7', while females will range anywhere from 5' to 6'. Both men and women Sudrosi have androgynous features. There are varying body shapes within Sudrosi but commonly they're slender with broad shoulders tapering down to pinched waists, similar to an upside down triangle.

Commonly, Sudrosi are seen with thick double coats of fur. Most are straight, silky drop coats that must be maintained on the regular as to keep from matting and tangling. Curly and wavy coats are also variants. Soft, velvet down coats, similar to cornish rex or sphynx, are uncommon as they are ill suited to exist in such a cold climate without proper clothing.

Coat patterns are commonly spots and rosettes or stripe patterns, it is rare for their coat to have a mixture. Colors range anywhere from white to black with an array of hues in between. Fluorescent colors are rare if not nonexistent. Same goes for their hair color.

The most common Sudrosi eye color are shades of browns and greens. Blue eyes are uncommon. Pink, and purple colors are extremely rare and Sudrosi born with these colors are revered as they share a similarity with their Gods and Goddesses.

I depict their feet as being plantigrade, but they can be either plantigrade or digitigrade.

Magic is a tool and source of power for Sudros. Those with it are more valuable than those without it. A simple indicator of a Sudrosi's magical ability is the growth of crystals. They are grown on the epidermis level of skin and sprout in clusters along their body, mostly on the chest, thighs, back, shoulders, and the backs of arms, legs, hands, and feet. Scarring is visible around the crystals. Any sort of crystal that you can find on Earth is able to grow from a gifted Sudrosi. Only one kind at a time, however rare cases of multiple types growing can happen.

If a Sudrosi is gifted with crystals from the Gods or Goddesses, they are then nurtured and pushed into growing their magical abilities. There are many tutors and schooling available for this talent. Magic users can go on to assist their communities with healing abilities and abilities to help with every day tasks to make life easier for the Sudrosi community.

Currently, about 75% of the population of Sudrosi are born with crystals. They tend to live a more well off life style as they don't have to work as hard as the common Sudrosi.

On the left is an example of a common Divine Sudrosi with a short down coat. Generally, the would have longer, fluffier coats. The red circles mark where crystals and gems can grow. They can even grow on ears like jewelry! They can grow in simple cluster, grow like freckles, or even protrude the skin and stick out. The possibilities are endless when it comes to patterns and shapes that can take hold when creating a Sudrosi.

Women are generally seen with longer tails and ears than males but they can still have shorter tails or ears. Some Sudrosi are even born with nub tails although that is rare. This figure on the left holds the same information for males as well, except for the ears and tail. As mentioned before, both men and women are quite slender generally. Although there are more body types than just the norm, just like the real world.

The colors of the crystals and gems correlate to the mineral that they're born with. You can simply visit the Wikipedia page for minerals and find hundreds of choices. The crystals give off a soft glow throughout the day and glow brightly when magic is used. They're like little night lights.
