All across the city, and even out of limits depending on how decent their reception was, would find a rather new station on the radio that seemed to broadcast the voice of a young man. Decent beats, old and new, would stir across the radio waves during the evening hours well into the morning.
The song in question would play, people in cars generally having a decent time with the smooth voiced intro and banter from the lone soul that seemed to domineer the evening show affectionately called 'The Dive'. And yet every so often in the middle of a song, one might start to get the strangest crawling of their skin and the feeling of eyes on the back of their head regardless of where they were.
"What it do and what it be, my funky fresh peeps of Seattle? On your way to those night time jobs or maybe just commuting home? Maybe you're off in the streets tryin' not to get caught.. or maybe you're just sitting at home trying to get dinner made.
Whatever it is that you do in the dark, know that I'm here at the station just bumpin' the jams to get you through the week.
You can call me The Oscillator and I'm here to bring the Party Rock back into your day to day."

"Lemme just say this folks, what we do in the dark might be our business but if there's one thing I know about the world, its that there is always someone watchin' you.
With that little nugget of wisdom, it's time to listen to some Rockwell. Yeah, you know the one. Somebody's waaaatchin' meeee-"

And that friends and enemies of all ages was "My name is Ruin" by Gary Numan. Never heard it before? Heck friends me either but ya boi is HERE for that cars guy. Turns out he's got way more going on!
So, I kinda wanna be up front about this but I admit straight up in about to play favorites.
This next song comes from Gabethebabe on social media and Goji on spotify. This song is called Slow Dancing in the Dark and let me tell you my dudes.. I can't get enough."

And that my friends was The Queen herself, Queen Latifa.
So, by now we all heard the news huh? That big ass fire at the warehouse. And they're whispering now about how it was mutants that caused it but I need to remind y'all.
It's mutants what died in there.
What happened- and I don't get heavy on this topic too often- was potentially a hate crime.. and lemme tell ya folks you can't fight hate with hate but you can fight injustice with anger.
I dunno gang.. I'm pretty mad because what if this never gets solved? Can mutants even be safe??
Anyway...
Here's Danger Zone.

Hey gang.. So
I know the rock block is supposed to kick off right about now but I wanted to take a moment to talk about what just happened.
The collapse of building- a brand new one no less- housing multiple EDEs- some were mutants some humans.. I don't know about you but given how we just had a fire that killed two people- one a mutant? It's suspicious.
So now I ask you, friends.. Where is Ms. Demure?
Sitting in her cushioned chair while storage buildings burn? At a coffee shop down town while a whole building full of your people collapses? Snuffing out lights that could have had a second chance?
Where are you, chief?
Where are you?"

The message was scathing and after a while, music played through the speakers of radios everywhere, a bubbling sense of dread growing stronger with every second that they listened.
