Sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows
Everything that's wonderful is what I feel when we're together
Brighter than a lucky penny...
This woman hadn't fallen out of the sky like so many other colorful people had these days, nor had she appeared out of nowhere, to be swept up by men in suits. It felt like a week had passed when she was being ushered into her next appointment with Doctor Pointdexter (or was it Marshall?) The man had the most boring name, So Katarina Josephina Leonidovna had opted to call him Dr. Pointdexter do to the fact that he looked like a giant annoying nerd, that sucked the fun out of everything and wanted to talk about the bitch of a father she had grown up with. Like who the fuck would want to talk about that fucking bastard? Bit gross to want to hear about the nasty stuff he did to her when she was smaller. Nope. She did not want to revisit that, even though he had said that unpacking those traumas would help her get released from Serenity Lake Sanatorium. Fuck that bullshit.
Still, though, he had been cute, and she had gotten herself all dolled up for their date; using the red crayon she was allowed on her lips, and adding that bit of blush on her cheeks. She used her blue crayon for eye shadow, and the black one to color her lids. She had done a good contour, right? She thought so, anyway.
It came as a surprise, however, when she had opened the door and gone through, and she wasn't in the cute doctor's office; instead, she stood in the street of some city. That's all she knew. Katarina looked to the left and then to the right, before she turned around to stare at the building she had come out of, thinking that she was going to be in trouble with Pointdexter if she didn't go back in-- but the Sanatorium wasn't there! Instead, the door was to a pawn shop, who's proprietor hurried to the door and poked his head out, and said, "Girly, get out of here, you're scaring business away!"
Katarina frowned at the man, before she hurried to her left, following a group of teenagers along the street, wearing her grey sweatpants, slippers, and blue teeshirt that had Serenity Lake Sanatorium printed on the back. She was scaring business away? She was gorgeous, so she would have attracted folks to his shop. The orderly that took care of her said she looked pretty! Guess the man didn't appreciate a beautiful girl when he saw one. Kat would have to pity the man for not seeing what he was missing.

When you're near the rain just disappears, dear
And I feel so fine
Just to know that you are mine
Katarina spent a good chunk of an hour following the teenagers, until looks were made in her direction, and they leaned in close to speak whispers to each other. Fools. Didn't they realize secrets were bad? That Gossiping was bad? Somebody ought to teach them manners. She mused a moment, over what she would do? What her father did to her when in discipline mode?
Don't make the beast angry, Katarina.
"Don't make the beast angry, Katarina," she repeated, causing passersby to glance in her direction. Her attention returned to the present, and noticed that the teenagers were gone; lost from her view. Good, good. Naughty teens could trouble other people with their devious secrets. That left Katarina unsure who to follow and where to go. Her head swiveled left and then swiveled right, and spotted a diner, the building resembling an old 1920s lunch car. Her stomach rumbled her request, and she headed on in.
The owners seemed to take pride in their restaurant, walls, ceilings, and the floor was clean, and the counter and windows seemed to shine. There were a few patrons, a set of three at a booth, two of which wearing red hats. The waitress had on a cute, light blue uniform, the white apron completing her 50s era appearance.
"Hon, just sit where you want, I'll be with you in a moment," the waitress called out.
It took a moment for Katarina to realize that the waitress had been talking to her, but when she did, she claimed a stool at the counter. A menu was supplied before the waitress went to check on the three men, who's behavior, Kat was sure, would have gotten them timeout time on the ward.

My life is sunshine, lollipops and rainbows
That's how this refrain goes
Come on, join in, everybody
Katarina hummed to herself, as she looked over the menu, listening to the patrons around her. Especially the loud ones with the red hats. Something about them...she didn't like it. The voices in her mind didn't like them, certainly. But Pointdexter would tell her that doing anything to them would be bad. It would be murder! She'd be very much in trouble! So she returned to looking through the menu. Until the waitress returned to her.
"Can I start you off with a drink?"
"You look pretty, miss," Kat replied, her blue eyes looking into the woman's, at the brown eyes looking back to her.
"Aw, you too."
"Thank you, I made myself all pretty for my boyfriend."
"Is he coming to meet you?"
"No."
"Oh, I'm sorry, but I should get back to taking your order."
"Oh, right, I'll have a--" Kate peered again at her menu, "--a lemonade!"
The waitress smiled and said, "Coming right up!"
Katarina watched the woman leave to get a glass, put ice in it, and fill in with the chosen beverage, but she stopped to peer at the menu again, readying her order. When the waitress returned, she pointed to the item on the menu, and spoke, "Eggs, bacon--SCRAMBLED eggs, and toast. Uh, wheat bread I think."
The waitress had jotted down the order on her pad, smiled, and told Katarina that her meal would be ready in a few minutes. SHe left and put the order where the cook could find it, and attended to other patrons. The rowdy boys seemed to be getting louder, and their words seemingly annoying the other customers, who started getting their bill paid and heading out. Few times, those three boys harassed the waitress. Katarina wondered why the waitress put up with that behavior, was she afraid of angering the beast? If she responded to their actions of smacking her ass, did she think the beast would attack? She pondered this as she sipped her lemonade, starting to hum to herself again.

The patrons had filtered out, and seemingly Katarina was last one to come in for the lunch period. THat, or those patrons that had grown uncomfortable by the three men had warned people away. That all didn't matter to the girl, that waited for her food. THe men just continued to talk about nothing, rowdy and rude.
So. Maybe they were getting annoying for Katarina. When her food came out, and the waitress set the plate in front of her, she heard the cook tell the waitress that he was going to take a smoke break while he wasn't busy. Katarina ate her eggs, munched her bacon, and nibbled the toast, while the waitress went about bussing tables. Until one smack to her ass on her way to the dishwasher pushed Katarina.
Somebody needs to do something, she heard a voice say.
Lock the door.
Teach them a lesson.
Katarina palmed the butter knife by her plate, and swung around on her stooland stelpped to the door, flipping the open sign to the closed side, and twisting the lock. The she walked over to the table of the rowdy three, and stared at them moment.
"What's up, sweetcakes, did you want some big dick," the one sitting on one side asked.
Oh, yah, Chad, you really want to bone her? Looks like she used crayons on her face or something!"
THey don't like your makeup KIll them.
"Do you need ketchup," Kat asked, pointing a finger of one hand at Chad's plate, before the other raised her butterknife, shoving hard enough into the man's throat. She withdrew the bloody knife with a spurt of blood, grabbing the brim of the red hat and using it to pull the spilling blood over his plate. SHe looked to the other two, smiled, "See? Ketchup!"
Chad's friends didn't seem amused by the joke, but angry, and maybe a little fearful. The man on the outside looked to be about to make a move against her, but Katarina brought her butterknife up forcing it up into his jaw. SHe tried to withdraw it, but it seemed to have have gotten stuck. SHe pulled, and the man fell out of the booth. No matter, her hand released the knife, setting her sights on the last man, lunging forward as she reached her hand for his face. He was lucky to have grabbed her wrist, but he seemingly lacked strength to keep her fingers from piercing the soft spots of his eyes; her thumb into his mouth like his head was a bowling ball. Either she was a mutant, or the voices in her head chanting, Kill, kill, kill, kill... were empowering her. Either way, Kat snatched up his fork, and stabbed it into his throat a few times.
The woman widrew her hand, and pulled her off of the seat when she heard the scream. SHe turned to see the waitress pointing at the scene. before she ran for the phone that was on the wall behind the counter.
No witnesses.
Katarina took the command from the voice, as she ran around the counter, and grabbed the woman's arms, struggling the phone out of her hand. Her arms would encircle the waitress, a hand covering the waitress's mouth. Katarina shushed the woman, as she whispered into her ear, "Shh, it's okay, the bad men won't hurt you anymore." The struggle calmed, before Kat's hands moved, too the waitress's chin and the back of the head, before twist. and the body fell limp. Katarina stood, staring at the body. She wondered about the waitress, feeling bad that she had put the woman to sleep, but the voice said to do it. So.
"What the fuck," she hear a voice say, seeing the cook in his grease covered apron standing in the doorway. No witnesses. Katarina slowly approached the man. She was nothing. A non threatening girl approaching a man. SHe stood in front of the man, as he stared at her. before a hand went to the back of his head and the other his chin. A twist, and he fell to the ground.
Kat grabbed some napkins from a dispenser, whipping the blood and eye juice off, before she finished her meal. THe waitress would be scooped into her arms, and laid on the counter, adjusted to look like she was just comfortably sleeping. THe wallets of the three rowdy boys would be looted, the money split; half held in the grasp of the waitress, the other left half left on the cash register. THe cards minus the identifications would be missing, as well as the spare set of clothes that had been in the waitress's locker in the back.
