Description
Vornair is a kingdom that contains many sorts of Humans. A kingdom that does not allow folks from other tribes. There are a few Huminum tribes outside of humans, but they are often treated poorly and used for the goals of the nobles and royalty.
Main Laws & Social Norms
Magic is illegal to all kingdom citizens and penalized by death. Some societies in the kingdom are socially harsher to magic users than others, but overall: Humans have a phobia to magic - things outside of the norm.
Taxation: Determined by the crown - Taxes are given from each nonmilitary settlement to the county, then to the duchy, then to the kingdom.
Other Tribes: Tribes living in the various duchies must fully integrate into the kingdom’s laws and customs. This means no magic can be used, and they must obtain citizenship through a series of tests that shows their devotion to the crown. Many areas still treat foreigners poorly, and some duchies make it illegal for foreigners to obtain citizenship in their territory. It is often hard for them to move up in the social class without noble blood.
