Welcome to the Rabbit and Baton Tavern, where the ale is warm, the food is bland. This is the OOC for the group.
I think a troop would be better for the music you've chosen and they can double as mummers.
I am planning to post an advert in Looking For, as for the plot, I may let them develop naturally. It seems there's already a bit of rivalry between Taist and Benoit in the poetry department.
Add more information on your character's profile, I'm going to do likewise with Cléirigh.

“Oui, et je compte remporter!” Starts to play the flute as though he was the Pied Piper.
I think I'm ready. Though this will be a new experience for me. I will keep to the historical side of things but will imply the fantasy twist regarding the period.
I think I'm ready as well, I just want to verify a few things with you, when you refer to King Richard, you mean Richard I of England the Lionhearted so it would place the historical period in the late 12th Century?
I also want to do a quick recheck for female artisan's of 12C. France since my research pertains to the 13th C. It just might be that women were a smaller minority in the work force than in the 12th.
I'm also ready to go, I would have the family arriving in the village when we start.

Yes, it is in regard to Richard 1. But keep in mind this story flirts the fact that John became King, changing history. You don't need the restrictions concerning gender, this does have fantasy elements.
You would be posting in Muggleswick.

Alright sounds good, thank-you.
I'll post for the three characters in turn as they arrive if that's alright.

Very well, what should I write?
We've lost so much of our heritage that finding sufficient images has become annoying. Most of the places don't exist anymore.
I'm sorry to hear that. I know a lot of money here has gone into the restoration and preservation of historical monuments here because the French culture in Quebec is unique compared to the rest of North America.
No worries, the pictures you have provided are great and help a great deal. Remember that Ben will be a bit of a snobby French bourgeois, pay him no mind, he's a little uppity French twit!

Common land was set aside for the commoners, it wasn't usually associated with the village, normally pertaining to a field or meadow set aside for activities and such.
I'll go correct it, thank-you.
You were allowed to graze pigs, goats, and other stock such as geese. In this story, the 'pikies' will take over the common.
Thank-you for the explanation Gevi.
