"I thought you said they were standing stones!?" He looked over to his traveling companion, his brows knitting together. His feet ached from all the walking they had done that morning. It wouldn't have been so bad if it was crawling into the late afternoon, but it was still morning. They had risen before light, collected their belongings, and scarpered south.
"They look like nine sitting sisters or strange rocky chairs." His belly rumbled, tightening with lack of food. "Are ye sure this is the right place?" He glanced round at the collection of crooked stones for a moment wondering if they had followed the right trail.
