Now upright, the man speaks into his phone. "Yeah?"
West looks very distressed, sweat beads on his face. He thinks "Don't sound desperate." but all he can say is "U-uh."
In the next panel he's still looking nervous and he continues "Yes -- Yes I am. Sorry It's been such a long time since I put my name down, I thought I'd been outbid."
There's a mechanical arm lying on a shelf, a power cord is plugged into it, and a battery metre is showing as full. Will, on the phone continues "You were, the previous buyer -- buyers if I'm being honest pulled out."
West responds "Huh. I understand you probably don't want to divulge this information," West holds the phone pressed awkwardly between his ear and shoulder "-- but I promise you there's no possible answer that will change my mind."
He reaches out to remove the power cable from the arm.
"Why did they pull out?"
