Barame yells at West "That doesn't sound like you were friends! It sounds like you were scared of him!" West responds, his head tilted back dramatically "Of course I was! He was a 4th rank commander."
Their breakfast plates are being cleared away. West continues "You and Dog always say, the army brought out the worst in people. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's the same. I think he deserves that chance."
Barame raises his glasses, holding the bridge of his nose between his fingers. "What's the other reason then?" He asks.
There is a view of the city, lights of towers blare out through the dense purple smog. "There are not many people who have any kind of chance at killing the general. At ending all this. But he's one of them."
