West’s hands can be seen holding his phone. He’s watching the same spirit instructional video series he watched at the start of this chapter. The tutor is a woman with tan skin and dark hair in a bob cut. She wears a green long-sleeved shirt. She explains:
“Spirit Anatomy cannot be compared to anything on the mortal plane. In fact, many times they’re more easily compared to a gas than a living organism. But even if they aren’t ‘alive’ to our understanding of the word, they still require come care if you intend to keep them bound longer than a day or two.
The corner of the video shows the title “Part 7: Long term spirit maintenance.”
There’s a close up of her face and she continues to speak. “We’ll start with the easy one first. “Food! Spirits require magical matter to survive. Spirits don’t require food every day. Depending on the kind of spirit, once a week or month is probably sufficient. As usual – read the research. I cannot stress this enough.”
