This is the 1 year anniversary of the comic (and to celebrate, you get one of the most technically simple pages I've drawn so far!)
I'm so proud that I've stuck with the project with so long - even though I opened the group a year ago, I actually started drawing the prologue early 2021. It took... about 8 months to draw the first 27 pages. So even though this is my anniversary the comic has actually been in the works for about 20 months. In fact, it took me so long to draw comic pages, I honestly thought 1 update per month was all I could manage and it blew my mind that many other comic creators updated twice a week. Even a page that doesn't look very challenging probably took me twice as long as an average page today. But as time went on, I got faster and by the end of 2021 I was drawing more than one comic page a week.
But even though I got faster, I've probably spent more than 1000 hours of 2022 on the drawing stage of the comic - not to mention coding the announcements on RPR, writing the script, thumb nailing, and all the other little things that aren't immediately visible.
Here's to another year! Chapter 2 looks like it'll be a little bit longer than Chapter 1 - probably in the low 60s but I am prone to changing things right up to the last minute so I won't lock in an exact page count yet. After Chapter 2 is complete I'll need to take a one month hiatus to rebuild my backlog that was annihilated during the Christmas period. Thank you for sticking with me throughout the year I hope you've enjoyed the story so far.

There is a closeup on West’s hand, he holds a burning lighter. Shielding the flame with his second hand, he lights a stick of incense.
A small shrine is set up upon a counter upon a red and gold piece of cloth – two sticks of incense in a holder are smouldering, ash clinging to the sticks. One small white bowl holds a small piece of bacon, a second contains a single cigarette. Pink, green, blue and white beads encircle the offering.
West narrates: “An offering made to the small god of Evil Spirits. I beg you to turn a blind eye to me when I venture into your domain. Please accept this bacon in exchange for my own flesh.”
