It's normal to go back and make changes to webcomics. Just recently, a friend sent me an embarrassingly long list of typos from chapters 1 and 2. Pages that'd been up for at least a year! Small things like this aren't even worth mention, but I thought I'd share some of the larger changes I've slipped in.
1) Page 3-41. Needed to make the design of the mystery entity more identifiable. There IS symbolism in the original design, but as a whole I think it's too dark and understated.
2) Cover of Chapter 2: Originally when West went into the badlands, he had two accomplices. Both of them were kind of assholes, so there wasn't even any interesting dynamic between the three characters. I had already made fairly heavy progress into chapter 2 when I realized that the second of these characters could be replaced with a single line of dialogue. He required so much buildup, and no pay off. It was an insane waste of space in an already very large chapter. So I wrote him out, pruned the chapter to a more reasonable length, and removed him from the original image like a dictator vanishing one of their critics.
3) Page 3-08 Most typos aren't worth mentioning, but I mistyped the country in this page. This scene takes place in West's home country of Zira, not his current home of Altaire. I swear I had stared at this page for hours. It was the most ambitious page I'd done up to that point. I'd seen that word a thousand times and I hadn't noticed it was wrong... until the day the page went live. I rushed to boot my computer before departing for work to make the edit. It was fixed so quickly that I don't think anyone noticed.
Anyway, my hiatus is nearly over
I had a decent amount of buffer... although not quite as much as I hoped. The first update will be the 4th of October. The chapter is titled The Death and Life of Barame Iida.
