Critique on my art is not desired unless I have specifically reached out to you for it.
I've struggled with having a healthy relationship with my art, and seeing it as a 'hobby' rather than a 'competition'. I've always had a hard time with my art not living up to my vision and being hyper-reliant on outside validation for my work. I'm trying to step away from that mindset.

I had these characters for years before I started seriously thinking about creating this work. I thought long and hard about refining them - I knew there were all kinds of problems. Similar silhouettes, flawed designs, multiple characters who could easily be merged into single characters - all kinds of things I could do to modify the story and make it easier to read and a more refined product. But the story actually became less appealing for me to create. I didn't want to draw a character I'd created only for mass appeal. I wanted to draw my character.

I'm aware that this story isn't perfect - probably more so than you are. "Perfection is the enemy of the good" and I'd rather have something to share with you than nothing at all. Ultimately, this is a personal project which I am making freely available to a larger audience, and I'm only open to limited critique on my work.
