Scales
Highly keratinous, iridescent scales periodically protrude from their fur layer along their back, biceps, hips, and tail while ventral scales entirely cover the 'front' or 'underside' of their form. They shed quarterly, developing fresh, flexible scales and leaving behind scales that harden to the likeness of ivory. The scales of the Ssarae vary in shape, being smaller on the joints and extremities and growing larger further down their form. They also vary in texture and color.
The following are samples of known, commons scale colors.
