Hello people! Below area few things for today.
Everybody can still submit applicants till it officially becomes tomorrow. But this is the last day for submissions, I dunno what time zone we're gonna work off here so let's just say....whenever everyone can agree it is now tomorrow? This is so professional!
Other point, here's how voting is gonna work so there will be no confusion. On Monday, there's gonna be a vote. We'll vote one by one for each guild leader position, everyone gets one vote for each guild. It'll be treated as five separate votes, so everyone gets a say in all the elections! Each writer is allowed one entry into any position of power, no running more than one guild here!
Once someone's elected, the five of them will now be responsible for most ic governance of Highgate, including most laws and foreign policy! All that good stuff.
Voting will run from Monday morning, till Tuesday morning. If you don't think you'll be able to cast a vote at any point between these times, let one of our lovely staff know and something can be worked out!

Community Feedback
- I think there is a lot of IC RP potential with this very subject, about how certain work fields and such could very well fall under multiple guild structures.
It could create some fun plot threads, of characters choosing perhaps which guild they wish to have their business, craft, or profession fall under!
Is a dancer automatically a Red Light Guild Member, or do they sell strictly entertainment style performances for crowds, and coin to fall under a Merchant Guild Signing?
A carpenter who may like to sell his wares and craft for profit sounds fitting for Merchant Guild, but what about the artist who works for passion and expression. Not for pay? A scholars place among museums, galleries, and more could be very well suited!
I like the little grey area all these different branches could fall under! It gives IC choices, and perhaps drama too! Maybe an Artistic Scholar one day creates a beautiful masterpiece, but instead of donating it to display, they sell it to a high paying elite class member? Now that character has reasons to worry about the Merchant Guild breathing down their neck about unwarranted gains, while the Scholar Guild may scold them for privatizing such beauty!
I think it all sounds fun! And can play interestingly into which Characters get voted into Guild Positions! Lumaslily

Unfortunately I can’t give the discord link but Asks one of the admins and they will give it to you.-
It could be even scholars since they have a more developing focus such as making new tech. If it's things like art it should probably go to red light district and maybe anything inbetween be merchant?

So the way I see it is that Crafters and artisans would be under merchant guild because they have to be paid for their skills its a commodity. I'm thinking in terms of like old real world painters and sculptors. Yes they had to be educated but most of their pieces comes from commissions.

We already established that there would be five guilds on the group’s record so it's too late to add more now. Maybe it can branch off from one of the major guilds?-
That's assuming. However not all artisans are merchants and not all merchants are artisans.

I'm assuming crafters would fall under the purview of the merchant's guild.
