I feel compelled to mention Burns Night, as the nudge of a rusty Lochaber axe in my ribs has reminded me of its significance.
Thursday, 25 January.
The rules are as follows.
1. Please submit a poem that is either related to Scotland or pays homage to the renowned Scottish poet, Robbie Burns. It could be a heartfelt tribute to the beauty of the Scottish landscapes, a reflection on the rich history and culture of Scotland, or an exploration of the themes and emotions that Robbie Burns often delved into through his poetry.
2. Regardless of the distillery, what's your favourite whiskey?
3. Which way do you enjoy cooking haggis? If you're vegetarian or vegan then name your most liked turnip dish.
The judges for the event will consist of myself (held as hostage) and Coddiwomple. LOL
The prizes are a blue rose and a black cloak.
Entries must arrive before January 20th.

- Cool, I'm in with Canadian versions of Haggis and Whiskey. I'll come up with a poem.
