Far to the north, Chael-Valearialle is a site that was once heavily contested due to its richness in mithril and platinum ore. Heavily damaged to the point of the old battlefields becoming one with the Shadowfell, it has become a draw for adventurers, resource scouts, and scholars alike. It is a far cry from the highly populated place it once was but here and there on the outskirts and further into the mountains, people have begun to return.
One particular site has become of concern to the nearest small mining village, Lathan.

The Seat of Trivellaine is rumoured to be where a necromancer once had his tower established, centuries ago. Supposedly defeated by a brave band of adventurers and besieged by the inspired population who'd had enough of him draining and damaging the landscape beyond what it already was, the corrupted land there has begun stirring, according to the few brave villagers who crept close enough. While the village has not experienced the same incursions snatching people away and grave-robberies that marked the last time power was held there, they want the ruined tower to be investigated.
Scraping together a decent sum of money for what little they earn, the mayor of the village has put out the call, sending out messages to post up in the larger southward settlements. Hoping that the flyers and word of mouth will bring in aid.
- This is designed to be an episode in a larger campaign, the first step.
- This is my first time DMing anything, eek!
- 3 characters is ideal.
- Medium to high fantasy.
- DnD and self-made races that'd fit in a medieval-esque fantasy setting work.
- Warnings in advance for grimdark and potential body horror.
Still developing this so it isn't technically open-open yet, but putting out the feelers to see if it is of interest.

I hope you don't mind me posting here. I have Narush to offer, if he's too visually odd then I can offer Edvard.

Ooh, I like him! It'd be interesting to see how he got from his homeland to somewhere like the location of the setting, if it comes up in play.
