This RP takes place on Earth, in America, some time in the 1900's (how convenient!). There are a few creatures here and there that are slowly fading out of existence, things like harpies and sirens, and people who contain immense power that is often elemental. Wherever they are, they are the best kept secret of the area, defended by family, friends, towns, sometimes just themselves. Of course, a man named William Afton, an ambitious man, finds out about this, and he has his... Ways to get what he wants. So, he and a follower named Vanessa, go to search out these magical beings and collect them for a circus, a freakshow. It takes time, like most things, but eventually William gets what he wants. A working circus complete with (completely willing) performers.
Now, he just needs to keep a tight hold on them, even as they try to escape.
