"EL BARRIO"
Most immigrants made their homes in Sepulveda Pueblo, a neighborhood named after one of the original Los Sueños families in what would eventually grow into the Little Bogota district. Known by residents as El Barrio ("the neighborhood") it began to grow into an international center in the early 1970s as more people, primarily other immigrants, moved into the area. It quickly became the place where you can "travel without a visa" and is beloved by greater Los Sueños as one of the cultural hearts of the city.
