Bootleg D&D is a significantly simplified version of Dungeons & Dragons. In character, our OCs will pretend to play the game itself, OOC we will make this as easy as possible. Dice rolls are included mostly for fairness, fun, and immersion, but the "game" aspects have been watered down in favor of word-based roleplay. Some way, some how, your character has joined the table. They can create a character from scratch, make themselves as a D&D character, or even re-use one of your fantasy OCs. Once the initial setup is lain out, we're gonna be winging most of it, but my inbox is open for questions!

Jorok was abandoned as a babe amid a terrible and violent blizzard. He was discovered wrapped in thick animal pelts with a small stone that produced heat and a strange amulet clutched in his little hand. The traveler that discovered him would take him in as his own. He and his wife were members of a plains dwelling tribe of barbarians and nomads. The people of their tribe were wary of the babe due to the amulet he had with him when he was found. The shamans claimed it to be a ill omen so he and his new family were forced to leave and made to wander.
Jorok learned the necessary art of stealing and fighting to survive from his father who taught him how to make it amid urban cities, rural towns and even out in the plains and forests. Wealth and riches were always sought after, but primarily he stole for survival, generally taking what was needed and not what would weigh him down.
Tragedy struck when he was in his teens. Upon returning from a hunting trip he discovered his family's camp ransacked and that his parents had been taken or killed. He later discovered that it was a Warlord bearing the insignia of the amulet Jorok kept, who had taken his family as slaves. From that point on he vowed to discover the connection he had with this Warlord and to take everything from him as he had taken from Jorok

Papa Gumbo is a shaman chieftan in his swamp, he ate all 38 of his siblings in their birthing pond and he was blessed by the Tree God for his resilience. He retains his powers by regular sacrifices made to his deity who in turn grants him the ability to animate plantlife in the form of massive golems that fight in his stead.
