Factions

  • GROUPS OF INTEREST
    • New World Order: A powerful 'Big Brother' government faction with overwhelming support from the social elite, with a focus on wealth, regaining control of the world, and subduing humanity. Their power resides in The Cradle. Unfortunately, the lower class that takes up the majority of the population suffers poverty, subjugation, labor in farms, mega corporations, and other illicit work with little pay. Criminals are sent to labor camps with no pay, prisons, or torture chambers, depending on the offense. Public execution is common.

    • Resistance: An organized faction that opposes the New World Order and its ideals. This group wants the world to revert back to what it was before the Dark Age. No leader is currently known, if there is one at all. Some may act alone while others act in groups. They hide in the shadows, watching, waiting, hiding in plain sight. They could be your friend. They could be your neighbor. The New World Order firmly denies their existence. The Resistance allegedly has a Headquarters underground. They can be known for running illegal markets of stolen goods and contraband, producing and placing propaganda material, hacking NWO's broadcasts and technology, etc.

    • Eye of Aureola: A religious group that views the Last World War and the nuclear bombs as a "cleansing flame." These cult members believe humanity was "poisoned" by affluence and technology, and oppose any and all governments and factions. They worship the goddess "Aureola," although there is no mention of her in any remaining history books published before the Last World War. Their church is housed in Ditchford, and it is common for its members to willingly be exposed to radiation to have "visions."

    • The Block Cannibals: The majority of people who live in the Block practice cannibalism as both a means of survival and because it has become normalized in this area. There are three tiers of classification for this group:
      - Foodies: do not participate in the killing or processing of “the other OTHER white meat,” only its consumption. Some may turn a blind eye to what is involved prior to the flesh that ends up on their plate.
      - Butchers: do not participate in the killing of "the other OTHER white meat,” only it’s processing and consumption. For some, it’s highly ritualistic, perhaps even a religious experience. For others, it’s a paycheck…and a way to keep themselves off the menu.
      - Hunters: may participate in all three…or just one. Some don’t even consume those they kill; these are known as “sport hunters.”

    • Drifter: A name given to any individual not affiliated with any faction. These are the lone wolves. Survivors. Outcasts. Sometimes they form roving groups with an emphasis on survival, others are outlaws who choose their own way.

    • User-made factions are welcome! Please see our forums for more information.
