CHARACTER ORIGINS
You have five different races to choose from:
Humans
Cyborgs
Androids
Bogeymen
Robots
Please see the "Races" section for more information about each race, as well as playable subspecies. Each race has its own benefits and setbacks, so think ahead about where they live, what job(s) they hold, and their origins in our post-apocalyptic society.
PRE-WAR OR POST-WAR?
While many characters were born after the bombs fell, it is possible for a character to have been alive pre-war. The technology for cryogenic sleep exists, and wealthy humans and/or cyborgs would've had access to it during the war. Bogeymen were once human and their exposure to radiation often extends their lifetime. It is not unusual for a bogeyman to have been born pre-war, although the long-term effects of radiation exposure sometimes fries their brain and renders them feral. Androids and robots come from a variety of different backgrounds and do not age.
CHARACTER AFFILIATIONS
Now that you've decided on a race, where do they fit into our story? Maybe you're an android drifter, doing whatever is necessary to survive the wastelands. Or maybe you're a human living in Victorville, untouched by radiation and living luxuriously under the watchful eye of the New World Order. New America is at your fingertips, so be creative!
